I thought that was strange as well. It would have made more sense if Jim was with Dallas while they had the divorce party. It also would have ensured that Dallas wouldn't have shown up to the party if he was out with Jim.
The script is trash as hell, but the representation of a totally malignant narcissist, it's very well depicted. Him devaluing her, Asking for divorce and then showing back up, not because he wanted her, but in order to ruin any type of Happiness, she could have had with someone who actually wanted to be with her. Classic narcissism

Meagan Good (Ava) was the only thing Good about the movie. “Damsel in distress” energy. Then we come in with the HELLA CLICHE Superman role with her “Captain save a hoe” friend to rescue her, which ends up becoming her perfect match THAT EVERYONE LOVED. Tyler …FUCK OUTTA HERE WITH THIS ONE 😂🤦🏾♂️
LOL, this for sure falls perfectly into the Tyler Perry/Lifetime movie formula. When you watch these films, I learned that you gotta keep your expectations low as hell😂😂😂. I feel Meagan was the only Good thing as well.
Tbh I feel like the mom got all of her sons into that lifestyle and got them to do her bidding and honestly if Tyler let us unpack that in the movie it would have been a lot better.

Corey and Meaghan were phenomenal. I love Tyler Perry's movies and I try to be faithful to his movies, to support this man. Some of the story lines aren't that great but he does have good actors/actresses and I heard he is very fair to them in pay. That's great because a lot of these actors/actresses don't get their fair share, especially if you are of color. So thumbs up to you Tyler and as long as you continue to be supportive of these actors/actresses, I will support you.
Great veteran actors no doubt about that. Debi Morgan, Glynn Turman etc. They deserved a much better script or director. Movie never got off the ground in my opinion. I like most of Tyler's movies, but this one fell short.
