at 6:53 he says to fill the rest of your inventory with butterfly jars. DON'T fill your inventory. Make sure to leave 3 inventory slots open to catch the copper longtails. If you don't leave open these 3 slots it wont let you pick up the bird snare after you catch one. You need one for the feather, one for the bird meat and another for the bones.

I think it would have been great to mention drift net fishing here. I am getting around 80k an hour in the early to mid 60's and that is while only paying partial attention. Plus it gives a ton of fishing xp.

I am unable to obtain The Ascent of Arceuus quest at level 9 hunter while using the Hunter potion.
His xp rates are a little more than optimistic

@@perinthia6829 170k per hour on red chins is highly improbable even if you're tick manipulating with a shooting alt. Could get 70k - 80k max but 170k? Sounds click bait to me

You are no longer able to start the Ascent of Arcuees quest if your hunter is below 12 (even with the potion's boost)

With Maniacle monkeys, you can use Bones 2 Banana tabs while mounted on the Monkeys. You don't need to cast the spell.
Just realized I use all your guides and couldn't even do you the courtesy of subbing, I've rectified that.
To release butterflies, set SHIFT+CLICK by right clicking on the inventory icon, then setting to release, so you can just hold shift and click on the jars to release the butterflies

Just south of Port Phasmatys/North East of Darkmeyer is a very chill spot to hunt swamp lizards with no ghasts or any aggressive monsters btw
Hunter was a very fun skill to do. I am already 99, but was curious to what other methods are used for hunter. :)
For the monkey training method, buy bones to banana tablets off the GE, if possible. With those you don't have to dismount the monkey or even switch back to a human. Makes if far more AFK and much easier, and still only takes up one inventory slot.

you cannot go east from fairy ring BKR to get to the hunter spot. you have to go northwest through a gate then go through canifis and south into the hunter area. fairy ring ALQ then south west is much quicker
Just a heads up you CANNOT boost to do the Ascent of Arceuus quest as it won't let you start it without the 12 hunter.

Use the entry swapper to release the butterflies
So how do I get this 170k exp an hour? I'm hunting red chins and I'm 93 hunter. I'm getting 80k exp an hour consistently while paying attention

Is it still worth it to do black chins? I'm a lvl 121. I don't usually get killed by pkers, but I see them often enough that my xp suuucks. Should I just switch to reds or herbiboars or something?

(if you're curious, im at 67 hunter, gonna do black salamanders to 80 and then red chins to 99 while trying to do consistent bird house runs. but god am i bad at that.)

what can i do instead of swamp lizards? im on an ironman that cant get any prayer or hp xp, and im trying to get 65 hunter for the rune warhammer from magpies
If you need fishing levels too, then do underwater drift net fishing! The XP is great for both fishing and hunter even at lower levels. And you will even profit a bit at higher fishing levels.

It's worth noting when doing swamp lizardz that the ghasts and snails stop attacking you. Ghasts after so much food (bring cheap food) and snails after killing them a couple times (or once?)... or maybe it was getting attacked by or attacking and killing the blood blamish snails a couple times. Not sure what makes them stop, but they did for me.

What does he mean with fast birdhouse runs? I don't seem to understand this. Once you've placed all 4 birdhouses you have to wait atleast 50 minutes before you can do your next run..
11:53 I have full Graceful and do not run out of run energy. You can only achieve around 60k exp an hour. With my peak being 65k when doing it for 2 hours straight.
With that being said, the Orange Salamanders are also way off

For releasing butterfly's
Use Configure Shift Click to make it easier.
Update I tried boosting hunter with a potion to do the Arceuus quest the ascent of arceuus and they will not allow me to start the quest so I have to actually get the level 12 first. Potion don’t work boosting it
What is the runelite plug in called when you are using it for butter flies???

For 4 birdhouses u need 20 Wildblood seed or 40 the rest seeds :)

Is this a bit outdated? Cause its saying 9-15 you can do Ascent of Arceuus quest but you need 12 hunter in order to do the quest?

so what im forced to do quest or something before 15 hunter? not to mention you lied about be able to pot and do one of the said required quest so how the hell are we suppose to get from 9-12??
Not sure when the last time I actually trained hunter was, but I'm 92 now mostly from birdhouses. I just do one run after every herb run.
I do 1 before my herb/tree/other stuff, and then 1 after since it usually takes me an hour to deal with all with every patch in the game.
janderson9413 the way i do it is 2 birdhouse runs and then a herb run 2 birdhouse runs are 100 min total and a herb run is 80 min. I found it better to lose the 20 min but have it in this order.
Can someone explain to me how a regular birdhouse run can bring 55k xp/hour if you can only place 4 birdhouses at most and it takes ~50 minutes to receive the xp? Wouldn't that be 280 xp x 4 = ~ 1120 xp per hour?
How are you getting 100k xp/hr doing birdhouse runs? They take 50 mins to fill I’m confused
You can use bones to bananas tab while on the stunted money's back. Unless that has changed.

I'm confused on how your getting your xp/h rates for bird houses. Eg if you get 280xp per house and you can only do 4 houses in 1 hour how is it possible to get 55 000 xp/h.

Depends which one you have access to, if you can get into Priff use that area. If you don't have that quest done, use the private area
Most the time polar kebbit fur goes for 1k a pop and its real nice to do those till swamp lizards imo you make like 20k an invent
With the monkey method you dont have to mess around dismounting if you bring bones to banana tabs
