Hey Jason great review i am thinking about upgrading my current rotary, would you still recommend this as the best option out there? And you mention there are some things you could do with a chuck that you cant do with a roller got a few specifics? just curious trying to decide if chuck or roller...Thanks!! love your channel i still tell everyone your magic eraser+awesome trick for cleaning tumblers changed my life
I’m Chad. Jason make this rotary. I like it better for a dozen reasons. The biggest is the time switching and aligning the cup/tumbler. I have hit or miss luck with the chuck. Also you need to figure out the proper steps for each thing you put on the chuck.
splocal great! Glad I could help. Check out my other video on 4 ways to laser glass. I used some extreme shapes just to test this. Performed great. Don forget the coupon code ManCrafting for 5% Off storewide. 👊🏼👍🏼
ManCraftingTM you got it thanks I will certainly use the code when I purchase. Do you happen to have any recommendations for a Rotary Chuck? Thanks again!
I haven’t used my chuck since getting my RotoBoss, but I’m sure there will be a project that it will be needed at some point. If I was looking for one, I’d get this from AeonLaser.US aeonlaser.us/mira look under add ons.
Thanks Chad. Timely video. Just thinking abut ordering a chuck after slipping issues last night. I have the LS1420. I'll give this rotary another look.
Damage is so common these days from all of the parcel delivery services that you almost expect it. I wonder if it were their package would it be handled in the same careless fashion? OK the rant is over and I would like to say what a great video, keep them coming.
Educational Chad. I want to get one myself but for recreational stuff just to mess around . Any one in particular that you recommend keeping prince in mind
Thanks Frank. If you want something small and inexpensive that can actually cut thin stuff or etch wood, acrylic etc. This is a good option. amzn.to/2F54PD4
Good thorough Job. I own one. As always there's a learning curve, I screwed up my origins on a handled mug and hit the handle with the head. USPS played basketball with mine as well. JER sent out parts very quickly. I'm curious about your circle pulse to circumference settings, I have my own I'd like to share. I'm pretty sure there's a formula to be found there. Again, video very informative, JER let me know that the Y-accelerations also could use some tweaking. But for my little BOSS LS1416, I can get 1000ml (33oz.) handled mugs to 5.5cm dia. x 27cm rolling pins in there with room to spare. I'm so happy I made this the right purchasing decision for a rotary, my custom 1-offs for xmas presents this year were a hit. Subscribed, keep it up.
Thanks. When I get a chance I’ll share both the “formula” and my current settings. Strangely the formula didn’t get me all that close. Well I don’t think they did.
@@ManCrafting Yeah i went and looked. I am saving to buy parts for a DIY 100 watt with a 2 foot x 4 foot cutting area, so i will be needing a rotary system
@@ManCrafting got an 80w being delivered on Tuesday and ordered the rotoboss as well. Super excited, without your video would never have heard of the rotoboss, seems superior to all others I have seen. Big thanks for the time you put I toaking videos.
David Thompson the part that broke has been redesigned. That said to fabricate that part out of another material and CNC it would likely cost so much more there’s no way it would be feasible.
very detailed insight, lots of work arounds and subjective variables to overcome in making,
thanks for sharing!!
Drum Runner when you buy your laser you’ll need to get one of these.
Great Info Chad. You really do an awesome job on these cups, I've had mine for a few years now and it still in great shape.....👍👍
Thanks Muz. Will you be here in Feb? Look forward to seeing you if so.
ManCraftingTM I’m coming!! 👍
The Muz Shop awesome! Looking forward to hanging out.

Awesome review! Just picked up a G.Weike 100w laser and was looking at the bossMod rotary but now seriously considering the Rotoboss thanks!

Hey Chad! Is there a rotary Chuck you recommend? I’m pretty much sold on the rotoboss roller but I need a Chuck solution as well, thanks!

ManCraftingTM awesome thanks for the tip!
splocal my pleasure. 👍🏼👊🏼
Great review!! Looks like a good solution for a lot of typical problems with the common rotarys.
Huge improvement over all that I have used and all that I’ve seen at various trade shows for CO2 lasers.
Thanks Chad. Timely video. Just thinking abut ordering a chuck after slipping issues last night. I have the LS1420. I'll give this rotary another look.
David I tried to get it to slip. Even a heavy beer glass power through. I was very surprised at how versatile this has been.
@@ManCrafting Thanks, I just ordered one with your coupon code.
David Williams I think you’re going to be really happy with it. For the price it can’t be beat.
Where did you get the mini level? That’d be useful. 😀
In the level section at most hardware stores. It’s a line level for hanging on a string.
What is the blue tape you used on the glass? I have used paper towels as well. About to order one of these attachments.

Familiarity breeds contempt I suppose. Throwing mail all day must make them hate boxes. 🤷🏻♂️ thanks for the encouragement. I appreciate the comment.

Thanks for sharing. I'll be getting one. How's the new Aeon?
Awesome and great.
@@ManCrafting any video reviews of the Aeon yet?

Looks like a good system.
Harneal Media thanks Steve. There are several versions. Even one for the smaller Chinese lasers.

Harneal Media Nice. Can’t wait to see what you think of it.
which laser addon did you use on the RRR?
What’s the “RRR”. It’s been a while since I filmed this.
My mistake,it was the rotoboss rotary attachment, which laser did u connect to the boos?
I have one for the Aeon Nova 7 and one for the Boss 1630.
I've been looking at these and will definitely go with it once I settle on which chinese laser I'm going to get.
Awesome. So many choices. What size are you thinking of getting?

thegoodone awesome. Have fun!
What is this circle pulse stuff?
I’ll be honest. I don’t 100% understand the relationship. I know it affects the size of the image when adjusted up or down.
👍👍👍👍
Thanks Jake. Have you thought about a laser.
If that broken part was not 3D printed then maybe it will last longer. I can see a part that might be flimsy breaking after a short time.
David Thompson the part that broke has been redesigned. That said to fabricate that part out of another material and CNC it would likely cost so much more there’s no way it would be feasible.
That's 1/5 of an inch sir
Drew Lavergne is that a calibrated measurement?
