Neptune only

SP2H Neptune. The Lockheed Neptune was flown by the Netherlands Fleet Air Arm( Marine Luchtvaartdienst -MLD) from 1961 until June 1982. It proved to be a very reliable long range maritime patrol aircraft (LRMP). In 1982 the equipment for navigation and Anti Submarine Warfare (ASW) became too old fashioned. June 1982 was the start of the delivery of 13 Lockheed P3CII Orions. These aircraft really performed as advertised. Defense cuts made by the Dutch Government brought the sale of the 13 Orions. 8 went to the German Navy and 5 went to the Portuguese Air Force. A much regretted decision of the Dutch Aathorities

Puur nostalgie , van 1963 / 1964 als vgma bij Sq 320 gediend , toen hadden ze nog vier 20 mm in the nose.
