This is legit saving my life right now. I'm making a yarn wig in a similar way for a cosplay and after a few minutes my first thought was HEY how did they do it for CATS I wonder?? I didn't think I was going to find an ACTUAL snippet of footage from the same exact production I had been thinking of. Very grateful for that
@@TooSickToDressVictorian really well actually! I took pictures of my progress in my story highlights @kitty_chrysalis on IG under "Husk Cosplay" if you'd like to see a visual of what I did. :)
As a long time CATS fan I have to say that was wonderful to watch but I have a question. How is it that glueing the yarn on would be better than sewing it on? It just seems like sewing them would make them stronger. But then I'm much better at tails and makeup. :)
By the way, here are some useful pictures and descriptions at the Woodminster website. If you want to actually like to the talented costume designer I can introduce her to you.

Cats on stage: charming
Cats 2019 movie: horror show.

Very helpful video, I'm designing my own wigs. Thank you!
So when placing the "plugs" of yarn they should be about a finger space apart?
On the overall wig, yes, but on the outer edges you place them as closely together as possible.
