Possibly just the connection between this and The Godfather, and then - in a lot of people's minds - the connection between Italy and La Cosa Nostra. Personally, all I see and hear is love and devotion when I hear this song, whether in English or Italian. Even within The Godfather movie (I've never read the book) outside and away from the criminal elements, on a much deeper level, it is really about Commitment, Family, Love, Honour and Respect, as well as the lack thereof and what happens as a result of that particular path, should someone choose to take it. And so, again, all I see, hear and feel emanating from this song is love and devotion.
