Italy is one of the most successful countries in the world not in terms of football but in everything. Italy has discovered so many things.

    This is exactly why i like this italian team. There is the usual passion and dark arts, but Vialli and Mancini has achieved to give a collective attacking mindset to this Saquadra Azzura.

      Vialli lives in London since a couple of decades; his wife is English and the daughters are born in England.
      Besides, he is a smart, well educated guy: among soccer players, he was (and is) unusually articulate also in Italian.

      a Chelsea cult hero and a class act his appointment was honestly the start of something special for us in our ascent towards the top we were a decent mid table club when Gianluca arrived but after a few years with him as our player and manager we became consistent top 6 contenders and more importantly trophy winners. What a man.

    He's from a wealthy family. I'm sure that he learned English as a child. Then living in London with an English wife helps, too, to be fluent. He's a very intelligent man. He could have lived his life as a hotel realm heir playboy. He chose to be a sportsman and he turned out to be one of the best footballers in his country and in Europe.

    Vialli and mancini had to be one of the stand out strike partnerships nether of them are classic strikers yet in a period of big goal bound centre forwards they excelled. What they brought together after their retirement has been special too when Italy won the euros it felts like the pinnacle of these guys decades long partnership. Vialli will be missed

    His English is essentially perfect. I was so surprised that he was able to infer what the interviewer meant by the _"Did you work on that relationship?"_ question. There are players and managers who have played and managed the majority of their lives in England who would visibly release question marks when asked that question.

    Great player as was Mancini. Lots of wonderful players in their time. Glad to see the new generation has lots of quality too. Always a fan of Italy, even when they beat my own country Belgium a few weeks ago!

    I’m Italian but I practically grew with AmE as a second language, then I graduated in Foreign Languages with a major in English. I’ve met so many people from so many different countries. Usually people look down to us (Italians) and to other Southern Europeans as really bad English speakers, and you can immediately tell where we’re from by the accent. I’m really impressed by how fluently he speaks but most of all by his accent!! Amazing!!

      Meno male che in America Latina stanno figliando. Prima o poi anche lì ci sarà più sviluppo e ci divertiremo quando sarà richiesto al nord di imparare almeno lo spagnolo nel quale gli italiani saranno fluenti in 6 mesi col minimo sforzo. Chissà se ci sarà il luc daun all'inverso.

      British people will NEVER look down on any foreign person speaking coherent English. It doesn't have to be perfect only understandable. Which is more than can be said for some British people who don't even speak our native language properly anyway.
