that's how my grandmother made dough, the size of the table, these for the chicken soup, noodles. When we cut the pig in Europe, the pig brain was a delicacy known for its nutritious quality.

I'm pretty sure managing finances, planning meals, shopping for ingredients, and feeding 2-5 people everyday for 20+ years makes u a chef lol

This made me think of my late mom. She cooked like a tiny little kitchen warrior for six of us from scratch! Try finding a woman today who would be willing to do that:) I inherited her ability to cook but I will never ever ever be in her *league*ever!

Strange ButTrue the cultural environment allowed that, truth is no one ever gets this good at anything unless society pretty much limits their options while giving them more time than they know what to do with. It's impressive and tragic at the same time in modern day.

Bellísima. Grazie Nonna Leonetta! Thanx, Mario for sharing your grandmother's legacy with us. She reminds me of my Mexican abuelita's meticulous, yet seemingly effortless cooking.

Their family is so lucky to hear her voice and see her preparing food for the family. My grandmothers came from Austria at age 14. Highly accomplished cooks and bakers, sadly, no movies of them. ☹

That used to be basic knowledge passed down for generations. Now women are hated for daring to learn things in a kitchen and most people don't have patience to do it themselves. It's only chefs who know this stuff anymore, and now they hear things in plastic bags in a water bath. There's no real art or love or understanding. Just a machine in a box of water that does it for you.

Dearest Mario ~ I miss you so much :-( I'm watching your UA-cam videos constantly. You're my inspiration in the kitchen as I'm working two jobs as a cook for the priests and nuns. Sadly, only one Italian priest appreciates anything I do. But I miss you dearly. I've never seen this video featuring your lovely grandma, thoroughly enjoyed it......I want to write more now but I'm late already. God Bless You, Mario.....I SO miss Malto Mario :-( ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
