Honestly I would say the best advice you could give anyone for their first playthrough of Ultrakill is to read 😌 The terminal pretty much tells you so much and whenever a new mechanic is introduced, the game presents you with the best opportunity to practise it

Hey Biboo, Great Stream as always! Just a bit more......VIOLENT! Regarding the Tips Tip#1: You can Combo certain weapons effects, like you used the coin 🪙+ BLUE🔵RailCannon. Another one would be the BLUE🔵NailGun ALT (magnet🧲) + GREEN🟢NailGun ALT after charging it attacking normally, so it attracts all the spread shots to the magnet. Tip#2: If it explodes it hurts. Basically just be mindful that your shotgun explosions tend to do more damage than what you heal at close range. Tip#3: Remember the wall with Roman Numbers near V2 fight? Explore the maps before that one and find the Secret Buttons! Something Cool awaits behind the wall!! Tip#4: In reference of STYLE Points, Jumping around and staying on air (Air Dashing, Wall Jumping) Increases your Score up to X3. Another Mechanic is being like Dante, haha. Switching weapons give you a freshness Score up to X1.5 or reduces to even X0 not giving any points at all , if you switch weapons often you can keep it at X1.5, if you use a weapon too much it is reduced little by little. Also, its cool to switch weapons! Tip#5: Regarding Coin Trick 🪙. The Coin will have momentum when you use it related to you, so if you move ahead and use it the coin will move further away, LEFT movement means Coin tossed to LEFT and so on, even if you jump it will move upwards as you use it. Also the Coin Toss is related where you are looking vertically, if you toss it while looking straight up it will be easy to shoot it while not moving, the more you look down the more difficult, but normally when you toss it looking down it almost always have a small slow hop at the beginning of the toss, so try tossing it and practicing, its pretty cool! Also, noticed that double coin tossing seems to not do more damage to single enemies. Yeay, I'm so glad you're enjoying the game. I remember recommending this one for you since you finished DMC5 and I just knew you would love it. I can't wait to see how strong you're gonna be when you come back after your training arc. I knew you would wanna practice up. One of the tips that helped me a lot was aiming the coin upwards if you're standing still. It's very hard to mess up like that, it's basically a guaranteed coin shot. Also, wait for it to sparkle before you shoot it. Coin movement follows your movement, so always keep moving in the direction you're tossing the coin, IF you're trying to move coin. Also, don't be afraid to experiment, if you think something can work, try it out, it may actually work. As an example, the shotgun parry thing was originally a glitch that the developer put in the game as a feature because people loved it so much.
It's awesome to see such motivation for this game from the purple rock. As an fps, it's quite different from slashers/action rpgs. Glad you like it. Here're some of the easier strong techniques Shotgun reload cancel: Hold fire and press "E" repeatedly (right after shots fire) to cycle your shotgun variations and shoot faster. It's stronger than the chainsaw up close, and it keeps your weapon freshness longer for more style. Double coin railgun: Throw a coin or 2 through an enemy (they do not collide), and shoot through him with a rail to hit that coin. it will pierce the target with a normal shot first + coinshot back. Coins always move the same as you, so to hit them easily you can move, but don't change movement direction when throwing them. If you step forward during a throw, they will fly far further in a straight line. Electronails: Attach a blue nailgun magnet to a strong enemy and spend its bullets, then switch to green nailgun and spend it too with charged heatsinks. Then use railgun on that enemy, and all the nails will detonate with electricity. Electric shock can also jump on all close standing nailed enemies, but it's useful only in later stages with dense crowds. Red revolver ranged parry: Special fire of the red revolver has infinite piercing, and it explodes enemy projectiles. That counts as a parry, so no enemy protection works against it. Maurice is immune to explosions, but that ranged parry can 1shot him when you explode his orb volley. Core nuke: Blue shotgun special fire can be charged to shoot further, and can be exploded mid-air by a revolver/rail for red explosion (blue pepsiman and flamethrowers are resistant to normal explosions, but red one does full damage to them). If you use red railgun to do it - it will create a huge bomb that can wipe a crowd in a wide radius. Chainsaw juggling: After you launch a chainsaw, when a big red star starts flashing above your crosshair, it means you can punch it. It's more convenient than looking at the chainsaw itself and trying to time it. Also individual buttons for arms are better than switching them, In options->controls at the bottom, set the button for «punch feedbacker (blue arm)» to "F", and «punch knuckleblaster (red arm)» to "G" or "C" whatever you prefer. Usual punch button will turn duplicate, to clear it - choose it and press escape. In options->general it's better to lower screenshake, or even set it to "none" for clearer picture in chaotic fights. Easiest way to set mouse sensitivity - set it so you can do a bit more than 360 turnaround with one mouse slide from one corner of your mousepad space you use to the other (for such a fast game you can even go for 1.5 turnarounds, but preferably less). That's a lot of text, but I hope some of that helps.
I'm really happy that Biboo decided to play this game. It's very action-packed and chaotic, albeit one that also takes some time getting used to. I've been wanting to get this game myself, but I had to save my money for more important things (including the Breaking Dimensions concert which I wasn't able to get a physical ticket anyways). Still, I can't wait to see how Biboo performs in Acts 2 and 3 as well as against the P-Rank superbosses. I dunno about Act 3, but I do know Act 2 is pretty insane and the grappling hook arm that you get is OP af. Btw and this is to Biboo if you by any chance come across this comment: If you like these kinds of retro-y looking shooters, I would recommend, albeit reluctantly because my brother wouldn't shut up about them, Cruelty Squad. It's very chaotic just like Ultrakill and also has a thing related to blood. However, well, I think Max0r's (whom chat brought up earlier) video on the game should explain things somewhat. There's also actual retro shooters like Goldeneye 007, Perfect Dark (which was added on the N64 NSO recently), and of course, the original Deus Ex. Also, speaking of Max0r, now that I've seen Biboo play both Elden Ring and Ultrakill, if I don't see Biboo voice a character in a Max0r video in the future (or soon, who knows), that's gonna end up being a missed opportunity.
act 3 so far (which is only the violence layer atm) is very solid with some of the most unique and memorable songs amongst the normal levels. My only major complaint is the first boss of the layer because it restricts your movement wayy too much, I'd even go as far as to say it's the worst boss imo. Violence also ends with you meeting the machine that is heavily implied to be the one V1 was designed to destroy, and it is an absolute unit. Not gonna spoil too much obviously, unless you want it
How the actual beep did I miss this live. Lets go Biboo, Ultrakill is the near perfect game for you with its DMC influence and meme infused adrenaline. Can't wait to finish this VOD and hopefully see you play more in the future! Edit after watching: Just a few points that I want to leave here, because this game is so chaotic its easy to miss or miss understand a lot of details in the gameplay mechanics. 1. Shotgun parry (shotgun boost) explosions can hurt you just like all other explosions in the game. From my general estimate you caused more damage to yourself from shotgun parrying to close than damage you took from enemies. In a ton of situations where a shotgun shot would have full healed you, instead due to using the shotgun parry you ended up with less or the same health. 2. Parrying enemy attacks/projectiles fully heals your HP and Dash meter as well as dealing more damage than shotgun boosted shots. It's insanely important to aim for especially when you've lost any HP. 3. There seems to be some confusion around movement options in this game. You can wall jump (on different or the same walls) 3 times before you have to touch the ground to reset that limit. You also have 3 dashes stored in a segmented meter on the right side of the cross hair, you can also dash an unlimited amount of times in the air or ground so long as you have the meter for it as well as basically as fast as you want.
Coincidentally, I JUST got into Ultrakill very recently (because of Roblox of all things, Gianni voiced a character in a Roblox game etc, long story) and watching Biboo play the game today was great. :> I might get the game for myself and try it out. Tip 1: [HITTING COINS] since the coin follows your velocity, as long as you move in a straight line hitting the coin is only a matter of timing, however if you look straight up while moving in a straight line shooting coins becomes easy Tip 2: [RAILCOINING] enemies do NOT collide with coins, meaning that you can throw coins through and behind them, this lets you do a technique where you can 1.hit an enemy with the railcannon, 2.bounce the shot off of the coins behind them, and 3.have the shot hit the enemy a second time Tip 3:[P-RANKING] by getting all ‘S’ rank stats and having 0 restarts, you will get a ‘P’ Rank, you can keep track of your Style, Time, and Kills by double-tapping ‘Tab’ Tip 4: [Shotgun Swapping] the shotgun is unique in the way it can be used to output a massive stream of close range damage, by pressing ‘E’ after firing a shotgun, you can effectively skip the reload animation and immediately fire your other shotgun before pressing ‘E’ again to swap back Tip 5: [Weapon Interaction] all weapons in the game have some form of interaction with other weapons, the Sharpshooter can shoot any projectile to make them explode, (including your shotgun pellets) The Core-Eject shotgun’s core can be shot with ANY hitscan weapon to make a large explosion midair (the bigger the gun the better) Tip 6: [Electricity] Magnets, coins, nails, and enemies with nails stuck in them can all conduct Electricity, if a crowd of enemies is conductive, the Electric Railcannon can turn into a devastating AOE weapon Tip 7: [Enemy Weaknesses] Many enemies have fatal weaknesses that are clearly stated in the Terminal Data, knowing these weaknesses makes certain enemies (like Streetcleaners) comically easy to kill, however some enemies also have resistances to certain types of attacks, like how Maurice and Soldiers have high resistances to explosions Tip 8: [Parrying] As you know, ALL Projectile attacks are parryable, as well as this, all attacks with a yellow flash are parryable, however there are some secret parry windows with no flash, like for example enemies that are charging up their projectiles, or the fist of King Minos for some really useful and in-depth guides i suggest looking up Herbmessiah’s guides
So glad that you've finally checked out Ultrakill Biboo, it's one of mine (and many Pebbles as evident from the comments) favorite game of all times, a perfect blend between fast-paced 'boomer' shooters and DMC. You've done very good for a first time player, as expected of our JAMER ROCK . Interested to see how you progress off-stream on learning/perfecting those combo-s, we're rooting for you Beebs, ganbatte! Now as for tips & tricks, sorry a bit late on this one! I've seen plenty of good tips especially for beginners. I'll add a few important ones that are noticeably missing: 1. PARRY-ing (i.e. using your blue hand/feedbacker ✊🔵, and/or Shotgun 🔫) is CRUCIAL in this game, dare I say the even the most important skill to master. Other than the most obvious reason of avoiding damage and hurting the enemies back instead, parry-ing has additional benefits that the game does not explicitly tell to the player: a. Successful parries of enemy attacks (that are parriable of course) actually HEALS you to FULL effective health (i.e. the HP bar minus 'hard damage' grey bar that temporarily takes up your HP bar whenever you get hit). The game sorta lied to you in this aspect, in that there are actually more than just one way to heal. - This means that instead of riskily chasing down an enemy on low health, you can just parry parriable enemy attacks and get back to full health instantly, allowing you to continue engagements with little-to-no down-time. As a bonus, these parries adds to style points too ! The game is meant to be played aggressively and this is one of the mechanics that further encourages this play style. So on low health, instead of retreating or scrambling for blood, FIST those mother -ing attacks back to their sender! 👊 (yes I know what I said ) - MOST enemy attacks in this game (I'd say approx. 80- 85 %, to be conservative) are parriable. So instead of asking which attacks can be parried, it's better to ask which ones are not. The blue flashing ones (like the flamethrower guys) are the the most obvious ones, but there are others un-parriable attacks that you will need to be mindful of as well. Other than those, always assume that you can parry those attacks in some shape or form (more on this on next point). There are guides out there showing complete list of these parriable attacks, but do be mindful of potential spoilers. , b. A POINT BLANK Shotgun can actually be used to parry as well. In particular, Maurice's beam attack and Swordsmachines are great enemy examples you want to try this on. There are other attacks that you can do Shotgun parries with, but they may not be as obvious as these ones from what I recall. c. While not technically parry-ing, Explosions can also send enemy projectiles back. Again, these do not count as normal parries and are instead considered more 'indirect parries', so they don't count towards FULL healing ones. But this is good to know as explosive combos or weapons + the returned projectiles can deal MASSIVE damage to enemies, and grant you +FRIENDLY FIRE style points 💥. The red pistol/Sharpshooter, and the Knuckleblaster (the Red Arm ✊🔴you obtained from your BROTHER ) is useful to experiment with this mechanic. Side note, you've unknowingly performed several of these indirect 'explosion parries' yourself in this stream already, a good example is at 2:46:46. 2. I-FRAMES via Dashing. Yes, just like in Elden Ring/Souls games, dashing in this game grants you very (key emphasis on VERY here) short amount of i-frames in this game . There are guides and hard numbers on the exact amount of I-Frames available, but for practicality, I suggest you get the timing of it by experience and feel. Very useful to straight up avoid damage from very fast attacks that you may miss or even avoiding self-damage (the latter allows you to safely perform suicidal moves that can output massive damage, but I'll leave that to you to explore/learn for yourself). For anyone insisting on technicals, each dash grants you 12 I-Frames when playing @ 60 FPS. 3. On Coins 🪙. To add on top of what others have said: a. Coins interact with HITSCAN weapons. From your current weapons, this means the default + Explosive variants of the Railcannon (Green railcannon fires a projectile), as well as all Pistol variants can interact with it. Have fun exploring/learning/experimenting with all of the different possible combos you can do with this knowledge b. Another very cool, albeit very difficult technique to master & perform consistently is called Coin punching ✊🔵🪙. If you aim the pistol downwards and launch the coins, it bounces slithly such that you can actually punch the coins to enemies to deal a decent chunk of damage. After a hit, these coins are still LIVE, so you can then follow them up with any other hitscan shots. One very cool combo is to punch several coins to a large enemy and then follow up with a railcannon shot to the bounced coin, dealin MASSIVE damage (and cool style points of course). I haven't managed to master this myself, so it'll be spectacular and impressive to see you able to train and do this 4. One small tip on our beloved flying moai, a.k.a. Maurice 🗿: a. It's resistant to explosive projectiles, so sadly you cannot hurt it with your Shotgun Projectile Boost (i.e. the Shotgun punch combo that you've beautifully mastered already ), as awesome as it is (believe me when I discovered this myself the hard way it also kinda hurt ). b. Shotgun swapping (others have already explained this well imo) is the easiest way to deal with Maurices. c. Try to time tossing a coin when a Maurice is about to launch his beam, something magical happens 💥. There are way more tips and tricks that can be learnt, but I'll stop here before making this into a full-blown thesis lul. I guess the last true tips that I can give you: HAVE FUN and experiment with your style of combos in this game. Just like how you've settled with Vergil as your favorite in DMC, I'm sure you'll find plenty of favorite strats/combos in this game too. Its website is even 'DevilMayQuake' for crying out loud lul. Fun stream biboo, also, very useful tip. Some enemies are resistant to explosion. If you have noticed the flamethrower guys and maurices take longer to kill when you use your exploding shotgun punch, so swapping to another weapon like the pistol helps. One last tip, a successful parry with blue arm fully heals you, which is an alternative if you think getting close to an enemy to heal with blood is too risky.

A tip for biboo, the explosions do not affect Maurice (Floating Head), those with flamethrowers and a few other enemies who are either immune or reflect them! For the style try to rotate the weapons, after certain uses the value or the points they generate go down until you do not do much, change your weapons from time to time and look to make ingenious combos! And the last one, the coin, IS BROKEN, have fun when you find out why 🗿

You can Combo certain weapons effects, like you used the coin 🪙+ BLUE🔵RailCannon.
Another one would be the BLUE🔵NailGun ALT (magnet🧲) + GREEN🟢NailGun ALT after charging it attacking normally, so it attracts all the spread shots to the magnet.
Tip#2:
If it explodes it hurts. Basically just be mindful that your shotgun explosions tend to do more damage than what you heal at close range.
Tip#3:
Remember the wall with Roman Numbers near V2 fight? Explore the maps before that one and find the Secret Buttons! Something Cool awaits behind the wall!!
Tip#4:
In reference of STYLE Points, Jumping around and staying on air (Air Dashing, Wall Jumping) Increases your Score up to X3.
Another Mechanic is being like Dante, haha. Switching weapons give you a freshness Score up to X1.5 or reduces to even X0 not giving any points at all , if you switch weapons often you can keep it at X1.5, if you use a weapon too much it is reduced little by little. Also, its cool to switch weapons!
Tip#5:
Regarding Coin Trick 🪙.
The Coin will have momentum when you use it related to you, so if you move ahead and use it the coin will move further away, LEFT movement means Coin tossed to LEFT and so on, even if you jump it will move upwards as you use it.
Also the Coin Toss is related where you are looking vertically, if you toss it while looking straight up it will be easy to shoot it while not moving, the more you look down the more difficult, but normally when you toss it looking down it almost always have a small slow hop at the beginning of the toss, so try tossing it and practicing, its pretty cool!
Also, noticed that double coin tossing seems to not do more damage to single enemies.

Yeay, I'm so glad you're enjoying the game. I remember recommending this one for you since you finished DMC5 and I just knew you would love it. I can't wait to see how strong you're gonna be when you come back after your training arc. I knew you would wanna practice up.
One of the tips that helped me a lot was aiming the coin upwards if you're standing still. It's very hard to mess up like that, it's basically a guaranteed coin shot. Also, wait for it to sparkle before you shoot it. Coin movement follows your movement, so always keep moving in the direction you're tossing the coin, IF you're trying to move coin.
Also, don't be afraid to experiment, if you think something can work, try it out, it may actually work. As an example, the shotgun parry thing was originally a glitch that the developer put in the game as a feature because people loved it so much.
It's awesome to see such motivation for this game from the purple rock. As an fps, it's quite different from slashers/action rpgs. Glad you like it.
Here're some of the easier strong techniques
Shotgun reload cancel:
Hold fire and press "E" repeatedly (right after shots fire) to cycle your shotgun variations and shoot faster. It's stronger than the chainsaw up close, and it keeps your weapon freshness longer for more style.
Double coin railgun:
Throw a coin or 2 through an enemy (they do not collide), and shoot through him with a rail to hit that coin. it will pierce the target with a normal shot first + coinshot back.
Coins always move the same as you, so to hit them easily you can move, but don't change movement direction when throwing them. If you step forward during a throw, they will fly far further in a straight line.
Electronails:
Attach a blue nailgun magnet to a strong enemy and spend its bullets, then switch to green nailgun and spend it too with charged heatsinks. Then use railgun on that enemy, and all the nails will detonate with electricity.
Electric shock can also jump on all close standing nailed enemies, but it's useful only in later stages with dense crowds.
Red revolver ranged parry:
Special fire of the red revolver has infinite piercing, and it explodes enemy projectiles. That counts as a parry, so no enemy protection works against it. Maurice is immune to explosions, but that ranged parry can 1shot him when you explode his orb volley.
Core nuke:
Blue shotgun special fire can be charged to shoot further, and can be exploded mid-air by a revolver/rail for red explosion (blue pepsiman and flamethrowers are resistant to normal explosions, but red one does full damage to them). If you use red railgun to do it - it will create a huge bomb that can wipe a crowd in a wide radius.
Chainsaw juggling:
After you launch a chainsaw, when a big red star starts flashing above your crosshair, it means you can punch it. It's more convenient than looking at the chainsaw itself and trying to time it.
Also individual buttons for arms are better than switching them, In options->controls at the bottom, set the button for «punch feedbacker (blue arm)» to "F", and «punch knuckleblaster (red arm)» to "G" or "C" whatever you prefer. Usual punch button will turn duplicate, to clear it - choose it and press escape.
In options->general it's better to lower screenshake, or even set it to "none" for clearer picture in chaotic fights.
Easiest way to set mouse sensitivity - set it so you can do a bit more than 360 turnaround with one mouse slide from one corner of your mousepad space you use to the other (for such a fast game you can even go for 1.5 turnarounds, but preferably less).
That's a lot of text, but I hope some of that helps.

I'm really happy that Biboo decided to play this game. It's very action-packed and chaotic, albeit one that also takes some time getting used to. I've been wanting to get this game myself, but I had to save my money for more important things (including the Breaking Dimensions concert which I wasn't able to get a physical ticket anyways). Still, I can't wait to see how Biboo performs in Acts 2 and 3 as well as against the P-Rank superbosses. I dunno about Act 3, but I do know Act 2 is pretty insane and the grappling hook arm that you get is OP af.
Btw and this is to Biboo if you by any chance come across this comment: If you like these kinds of retro-y looking shooters, I would recommend, albeit reluctantly because my brother wouldn't shut up about them, Cruelty Squad. It's very chaotic just like Ultrakill and also has a thing related to blood. However, well, I think Max0r's (whom chat brought up earlier) video on the game should explain things somewhat. There's also actual retro shooters like Goldeneye 007, Perfect Dark (which was added on the N64 NSO recently), and of course, the original Deus Ex.
Also, speaking of Max0r, now that I've seen Biboo play both Elden Ring and Ultrakill, if I don't see Biboo voice a character in a Max0r video in the future (or soon, who knows), that's gonna end up being a missed opportunity.
act 3 so far (which is only the violence layer atm) is very solid with some of the most unique and memorable songs amongst the normal levels. My only major complaint is the first boss of the layer because it restricts your movement wayy too much, I'd even go as far as to say it's the worst boss imo. Violence also ends with you meeting the machine that is heavily implied to be the one V1 was designed to destroy, and it is an absolute unit. Not gonna spoil too much obviously, unless you want it

Edit after watching: Just a few points that I want to leave here, because this game is so chaotic its easy to miss or miss understand a lot of details in the gameplay mechanics.
1. Shotgun parry (shotgun boost) explosions can hurt you just like all other explosions in the game. From my general estimate you caused more damage to yourself from shotgun parrying to close than damage you took from enemies. In a ton of situations where a shotgun shot would have full healed you, instead due to using the shotgun parry you ended up with less or the same health.
2. Parrying enemy attacks/projectiles fully heals your HP and Dash meter as well as dealing more damage than shotgun boosted shots. It's insanely important to aim for especially when you've lost any HP.
3. There seems to be some confusion around movement options in this game. You can wall jump (on different or the same walls) 3 times before you have to touch the ground to reset that limit. You also have 3 dashes stored in a segmented meter on the right side of the cross hair, you can also dash an unlimited amount of times in the air or ground so long as you have the meter for it as well as basically as fast as you want.
Coincidentally, I JUST got into Ultrakill very recently (because of Roblox of all things, Gianni voiced a character in a Roblox game etc, long story) and watching Biboo play the game today was great. :> I might get the game for myself and try it out. Thanks Biboo and Pebbles who suggested for her to play this game.

Tip 1: [HITTING COINS]
since the coin follows your velocity, as long as you move in a straight line hitting the coin is only a matter of timing, however if you look straight up while moving in a straight line shooting coins becomes easy
Tip 2: [RAILCOINING]
enemies do NOT collide with coins, meaning that you can throw coins through and behind them, this lets you do a technique where you can 1.hit an enemy with the railcannon, 2.bounce the shot off of the coins behind them, and 3.have the shot hit the enemy a second time
Tip 3:[P-RANKING]
by getting all ‘S’ rank stats and having 0 restarts, you will get a ‘P’ Rank, you can keep track of your Style, Time, and Kills by double-tapping ‘Tab’
Tip 4: [Shotgun Swapping]
the shotgun is unique in the way it can be used to output a massive stream of close range damage, by pressing ‘E’ after firing a shotgun, you can effectively skip the reload animation and immediately fire your other shotgun before pressing ‘E’ again to swap back
Tip 5: [Weapon Interaction]
all weapons in the game have some form of interaction with other weapons, the Sharpshooter can shoot any projectile to make them explode, (including your shotgun pellets) The Core-Eject shotgun’s core can be shot with ANY hitscan weapon to make a large explosion midair (the bigger the gun the better)
Tip 6: [Electricity]
Magnets, coins, nails, and enemies with nails stuck in them can all conduct Electricity, if a crowd of enemies is conductive, the Electric Railcannon can turn into a devastating AOE weapon
Tip 7: [Enemy Weaknesses]
Many enemies have fatal weaknesses that are clearly stated in the Terminal Data, knowing these weaknesses makes certain enemies (like Streetcleaners) comically easy to kill, however some enemies also have resistances to certain types of attacks, like how Maurice and Soldiers have high resistances to explosions
Tip 8: [Parrying]
As you know, ALL Projectile attacks are parryable, as well as this, all attacks with a yellow flash are parryable, however there are some secret parry windows with no flash, like for example enemies that are charging up their projectiles, or the fist of King Minos

So glad that you've finally checked out Ultrakill Biboo, it's one of mine (and many Pebbles as evident from the comments) favorite game of all times, a perfect blend between fast-paced 'boomer' shooters and DMC. You've done very good for a first time player, as expected of our JAMER ROCK . Interested to see how you progress off-stream on learning/perfecting those combo-s, we're rooting for you Beebs, ganbatte!
Now as for tips & tricks, sorry a bit late on this one! I've seen plenty of good tips especially for beginners. I'll add a few important ones that are noticeably missing:
1. PARRY-ing (i.e. using your blue hand/feedbacker ✊🔵, and/or Shotgun 🔫) is CRUCIAL in this game, dare I say the even the most important skill to master. Other than the most obvious reason of avoiding damage and hurting the enemies back instead, parry-ing has additional benefits that the game does not explicitly tell to the player:
a. Successful parries of enemy attacks (that are parriable of course) actually HEALS you to FULL effective health (i.e. the HP bar minus 'hard damage' grey bar that temporarily takes up your HP bar whenever you get hit). The game sorta lied to you in this aspect, in that there are actually more than just one way to heal.
- This means that instead of riskily chasing down an enemy on low health, you can just parry parriable enemy attacks and get back to full health instantly, allowing you to continue engagements with little-to-no down-time. As a bonus, these parries adds to style points too ! The game is meant to be played aggressively and this is one of the mechanics that further encourages this play style. So on low health, instead of retreating or scrambling for blood, FIST those mother -ing attacks back to their sender! 👊
(yes I know what I said )
- MOST enemy attacks in this game (I'd say approx. 80- 85 %, to be conservative) are parriable. So instead of asking which attacks can be parried, it's better to ask which ones are not. The blue flashing ones (like the flamethrower guys) are the the most obvious ones, but there are others un-parriable attacks that you will need to be mindful of as well. Other than those, always assume that you can parry those attacks in some shape or form (more on this on next point). There are guides out there showing complete list of these parriable attacks, but do be mindful of potential spoilers. ,
b. A POINT BLANK Shotgun can actually be used to parry as well. In particular, Maurice's beam attack and Swordsmachines are great enemy examples you want to try this on. There are other attacks that you can do Shotgun parries with, but they may not be as obvious as these ones from what I recall.
c. While not technically parry-ing, Explosions can also send enemy projectiles back. Again, these do not count as normal parries and are instead considered more 'indirect parries', so they don't count towards FULL healing ones. But this is good to know as explosive combos or weapons + the returned projectiles can deal MASSIVE damage to enemies, and grant you +FRIENDLY FIRE style points 💥. The red pistol/Sharpshooter, and the Knuckleblaster (the Red Arm ✊🔴you obtained from your BROTHER ) is useful to experiment with this mechanic. Side note, you've unknowingly performed several of these indirect 'explosion parries' yourself in this stream already, a good example is at 2:46:46.
2. I-FRAMES via Dashing. Yes, just like in Elden Ring/Souls games, dashing in this game grants you very (key emphasis on VERY here) short amount of i-frames in this game . There are guides and hard numbers on the exact amount of I-Frames available, but for practicality, I suggest you get the timing of it by experience and feel. Very useful to straight up avoid damage from very fast attacks that you may miss or even avoiding self-damage (the latter allows you to safely perform suicidal moves that can output massive damage, but I'll leave that to you to explore/learn for yourself). For anyone insisting on technicals, each dash grants you 12 I-Frames when playing @ 60 FPS.
3. On Coins 🪙. To add on top of what others have said:
a. Coins interact with HITSCAN weapons. From your current weapons, this means the default + Explosive variants of the Railcannon (Green railcannon fires a projectile), as well as all Pistol variants can interact with it. Have fun exploring/learning/experimenting with all of the different possible combos you can do with this knowledge
b. Another very cool, albeit very difficult technique to master & perform consistently is called Coin punching ✊🔵🪙. If you aim the pistol downwards and launch the coins, it bounces slithly such that you can actually punch the coins to enemies to deal a decent chunk of damage. After a hit, these coins are still LIVE, so you can then follow them up with any other hitscan shots. One very cool combo is to punch several coins to a large enemy and then follow up with a railcannon shot to the bounced coin, dealin MASSIVE damage (and cool style points of course). I haven't managed to master this myself, so it'll be spectacular and impressive to see you able to train and do this
4. One small tip on our beloved flying moai, a.k.a. Maurice 🗿:
a. It's resistant to explosive projectiles, so sadly you cannot hurt it with your Shotgun Projectile Boost (i.e. the Shotgun punch combo that you've beautifully mastered already ), as awesome as it is (believe me when I discovered this myself the hard way it also kinda hurt ).
b. Shotgun swapping (others have already explained this well imo) is the easiest way to deal with Maurices.
c. Try to time tossing a coin when a Maurice is about to launch his beam, something magical happens 💥.
There are way more tips and tricks that can be learnt, but I'll stop here before making this into a full-blown thesis lul. I guess the last true tips that I can give you: HAVE FUN and experiment with your style of combos in this game. Just like how you've settled with Vergil as your favorite in DMC, I'm sure you'll find plenty of favorite strats/combos in this game too. Its website is even 'DevilMayQuake' for crying out loud lul.

Fun stream biboo, also, very useful tip. Some enemies are resistant to explosion. If you have noticed the flamethrower guys and maurices take longer to kill when you use your exploding shotgun punch, so swapping to another weapon like the pistol helps. One last tip, a successful parry with blue arm fully heals you, which is an alternative if you think getting close to an enemy to heal with blood is too risky.

For the style try to rotate the weapons, after certain uses the value or the points they generate go down until you do not do much, change your weapons from time to time and look to make ingenious combos!
