Coach Tya's speech was spot on! You cannot tell the difference between the girls who've been there since the start and those who've just joined or only cheered for one or two seasons.
Last episode gave me so much hope, it's sad that they already seem to give up and just not put in as much work. (of course there are some girls who do, but they ALL should be working hard)
Sometimes I think the coaches yell too often, but this time I realised that they really have no choice. Even after yelling at the girls and letting them run laps, they continue to slack off. The girls might feel frustrated because they keep getting yelled at, but I can see it's just as (if not more) frustrating for the coaches. I hope the girls realise that if they just listen and do what they are told to do, do it right and do it the first time around, they won't get yelled at and won't have to run as much. Practises would become a lot more fun and the coaches will also feel better.
Sometimes I feel like they may be overworked and tired. After running so many laps that can wear you out, especially if you are not used to these conditions.
@@jazzi381 yes you have to train it up! We did toe touch drills when we got in trouble, sometimes being outside just drains your mood
But shaming and yelling doesn't really work and can have bad effects...Plus this is first for the girls, not the adults, this is important. Kids have had such a hard year, and are tired.
@@yvonnemariane2265 I totally understand and do agree to a certain extent with everything you said. Though I guess since I've been in a very similar setting with kids younger and older than me at the time and we've also have been yelled at by our coaches in a similar fashion, I can see both sides.
I'm sure the coaches only want the best for their students, and yes being harsh (definitely if it's shaming) isn't necessarily the way to go. It doesn't work for everyone, it can be very disheartening for a lot of girls actually, so I agree. But it's something will continue to happen, and at least for me and some of my peers, it does help to make you stronger.

The running needs to stop. Because they aren’t learning from their mistakes. Running isn’t helping. It’s people running that don’t know why their running. It’s others that are getting mad that they have to keep running for nothing. They need to be taught on the MOTIONS from the start. Everybody needs to be taught from the vets to the newbies. They look hot and tired every video. It’s like y’all see them mess up … yell .. tell them to run .. they come back make the same mistakes… and having to run all over again. That’s why y’all still have people that’s been cheering with y’all doing the SAME mistakes that the newbies are doing. Nobody ever learns their mistakes.

This season is going to be good. I just know it. They’re going to push these girls so hard & pull out the best in them. Those who can endure and push through are going to reap the benefits. I’m rooting for them, always!
The best part about experiences is they teach you NOT to be complacent. Realizing that change is inevitable will help you adjust. Every season is different and only the strong will survive. I can’t wait to see who finishes strong this season 💪🏽

I was a cheerleader for 5 years... 7th to 8th grader and then through out high school...
When I first started cheerleading in 7th grade my coach made girls do the routine over and over again until they got it right... The only time we had to run was if we was late for practice... I also practiced at home... These beautiful young ladies going to get it down pack it just take practice especially if they never been a cheerleader
This video was tough to watch. You can just feel the coaches frustration! Knowing what they are capable of but the only thing they are refusing to give is the effort. Maybe it was just ‘one of those days’ and there was some bad juju in the area or something lol.
As a 12 year old girl who is a middle school/Junior. Y’all got this!❤ my coach is as harsh to! But she’s making me stronger❤. It’s their job to yell. It makes you strong!. It’s all worth it💗
They are making money off of yelling at kids. How would you like it if people all over the world saw you getting yelled at for years and years to come? This makes me sick to my stomach. I was yelled at in gym class, but thankfully it wasn't recorded and put online instead I'm the only one who still remembers it. Nobody will ever come up to me and tease me.
If the kids aren't trying hard enough the coaches need to talk to them and figure out what is going on. It can be a blunt conversation, but there is never a reason to yell at a kid like this. It isn't effective and with a lot of kids it can be extremely detrimental.

Y’all in the comments are soft.. basically every cheer team in high school or otherwise runs when they mess up it pushes you to want to do better so u don’t have too while also getting you in shape. They are being realistic with their coaching. I heard worse then this doing marching band, I’m a senior in hs btw.

It’s the coaches it’s not the girls and being a mature coach and a good coach is noticing when the coaching style isn’t working and working with the coaches team to come up with a new a system. Somebody tells someone they can’t breath it should be taken serious until proven it is not serious especially with covid going around and that coach who said she said I don’t know what to tell you is beyond wrong. The girls are always on these boot camps but the coaches need to create a coach boot camp as well
