Le premier flacon aux 69 abeilles est fabriqué par le Maître verrier Eugène Théodore DENIN en 1853 à la Verrerie du Courval avec la fusion au bois, à cette époque le bois était le combustible pour porter le verre à température de fusion, soit environ 1 200°. Il fallait 40 Kg de bois pour fabriquer 1 Kg de verre. Mon grand père était verrier dans cette verrerie quand les fours au bois sont passés au charbon, vers 1910, et le verre était soufflé à la bouche jusqu'en 1933.
