Hi from New Zealand. Love the accent 😉. Me I just bought a 2250B and wanted the ability to add pistol grip alternately. Far as I know there is no legislation on pistol barrel length/stocks etc. Law in regards to PCP guns, that's another story, they're A-class firearms here and must have a firearm license to own one 😠
Hi are these anti tamper scews required by law? , I have just fitted the longer barrel and shoulder stock to a 2240 so that it now classifies as a rifle , but i am wondering if i need to secure the stock with those same (evil screws) so that it is not readily changeable>?
The Insignia hi the anti tamper screws are there to stop people modding the guns. But my opinion is if your tube says 2240 its a pistol and 2250 a rifle. I understand the law with the barrel length and overall gun length but if your out with your gun and you get a pedantic police officer and he checks your serial number and confirms your 2240 tube in infact a pistol and its running above 6lbs good luck arguing your case. Its all down to the FAO in your area and his interpretation. As i said its only my thoughts but for me its not worrh the grief. But to answer your question no they are not legal requirements.

thanks for taking the time to comment. To add a pistol grip you have to add a stock of some description and 2240 grips to the trigger frame.

My screw has even less meat up there. Seems like they have increased the tamper proofing.
May have changed the screws the only other way would be to drill the heads off in a pillar drill

They are just normal screws. Had no problem with a screwdriver
They are anti tamper and designed not to be removed if yours come out your lucky
