As well, Zelinskyy's government was criticised for going after the previous administration ahead of the coming Russian invasion, but at least in Ukraine no one seems to assert the charges were without merit. That's not how it works. First is the tank in the lead of the column, then the tank at the rear of the column, then the tanks that try to maneuver around them, then working from the ends to the middle.
They cannot make speed and distance off-road and greatly decreases the distance between repairs, provided they don't get mired. Tracks are designed to not exceed the psi of a soldier's boot, but it it sinks, it's a lot more difficult to get unstuck once the hull gets into the ground and the weight comes off the tracks. When attacking, tankers prefer large open areas of solid ground for maneuver, but those areas do not exist that many places. Unfortunately, they do in the area of the donbas. For NATO there are also certain areas like that, so training is prioritized around rapid and effective defense and counter-attack of those areas.

If there were no Ukrainian soldiers left, why isn´t Russia just driving into Ukraine and making a holiday? The Russian soldiers have for once met some real soldiers with modern weapons, and they are soiling their pants, deserting and surrendering their vehicles. BTW the s300 is still active. So many young men 's lives lost for the sake of the ambition and folly of one single old man, it's just sad. Such an unnecessary war, with so many civilians and soldiers dying in it, while the on responsible for it is sitting in his nice palace in Moscow.

That "vision" of former soviet glory is just a ploy, the true reason for invading is the attempted theft of the hydrocarbons buried under the surface. Blood and out of date military equipment is expendable.
