I have been fairly recently, what has been done in 8 years or so is outstanding. I live in the UK unfortunately our lot would still be arguing over who was going to pay for it , whereas you haven't got that many buildings to finish . I never saw any shoe boxes , I am not a city person but j would go back to Christchurch anytime .

@@deplorabled1695 Basically most of the shoebox buildings that people ranted about beforehand were usually modernist (like what you'd find in europe). Brutalism was basically a niche, so its a misclarification on my part since I forgot my comment from 2 months ago lol.
