Jay Slater cops ‘think he could be alive in different part of Tenerife’ as they pursue 3 shock leads

- JAY Slater could still be alive in another part of Tenerife, investigators probing the Brit's disappearance believe.
Spanish police are now set to pursue at least three bombshell leads after a source in Tenerife told The Sun the case is "very much open" with "all scenarios being kept in mind".
Cops announced on Tuesday there are still "several lines of inquiry" active in the hunt to find the missing teen.
As The Sun revealed investigators haven't deemed the teen as "missing feared dead" yet.
One of the trio of potential leads revolves around a theory suggesting Jay could be in a different part of Tenerife - far away from where rescuers and his family have been searching.
The 19-year-old has been missing for over three weeks after he vanished while on holiday in Tenerife with his two pals Lucy Mae Law and Brad Hargreaves.
The apprentice bricklayer from Lancashire headed back to an Airbnb hours away from his holiday apartment after a night of partying on June 16 with two "new friends".
He was reported missing by pal Lucy hours after he left the rented home in Masca as he embarked on a treacherous 11-hour trek through rough and rocky terrain.
The Spanish Guardia Civil deployed a mammoth search party in hopes of finding Jay as his family and friends all flew out to look for him.
Efforts have centred around Rural de Teno park - a mountainous region near to where his phone's location pinged for the final time.
As well as the town of Santiago del Teide when apparent CCTV footage caught Jay wandering across the road.
A source told The Sun: “Even though the ground search for Jay is over, the investigation into where he might be still remains very much open.
"One line of inquiry is a theory that Jay might even be in a different part of Tenerife and still alive. All scenarios are being kept in mind.

If deceased, Mr Slater is likely to have been accidentally or deliberately killed by members and / or associates of his former gang, who then made false statements to impede the police-search for his remains.
He is still a human being and a young one at that. Not even getting a chance to turn his life around.

I went to tennerife for a holiday and one day went walking in the 'country',the scale is deceptive ,i walked for hours through a very difficult and dangerous rocky landscape and seemed to get nowhere,I wish everybody involved well❤
And that volcanic rock (its everywhere out there) is so dangerous. It's easy to grip onto and try and climb down a vertical drop - but it is seriously brittle and can just break up without warning and you fall. Also if you slide against it as you fall you'll cut yourself to a million shreds.

Police need to deep dive into Lucy’s and brads phones plus look into jays calls and he never went to that Abnb that was Brad or a man in pic pretending to be him. The fact this go fund me money hasn't been touched yet, makes me believe his family either know he's being held by someone for stealing or losing drugs and waiting for those people to ask for the money.

The other man chose to keep his identity private and Qassim has agreed he won't reveal his identity. Qassim only came forward because people found photos of him and found his public records of being a convicted drug dealer. Qassim then voluntarily came forward to hopefully remove himself from speculation, say his side of the story (clear his name)
The Spanish police made no grotesque error, given their priority is to keep the can of worms closed.
He could've overdosed and they've had to dump the body and put this story together. Another theory that hasn't been mentioned much I noticed.
Moral of the story. Don't steal a Somali Pirates favorite watch.
Lucy + Brad defo know more than their saying, but hay they got to live with that secret - and secrets tend to come out in the end.

So if interpol or europol was undercover and the 2 men that Jay was with was part of their investigation then they would have the Garda making sure they weren't involved in this unexpected and highly televised investigation. I believe it's been undercover work and they don't want snitches involved. What's happened to Jay is a whole other matter. It's the 2 men that's causing this cover up due to their bosses.

There was a psychic who said Jay thumbed a lift, off not such a nice person.. he got into the strangers car and they killed him.. not a bad theory considering no hikers saw him up the mountains or on the trails etc.

Yes, fear not. Using his mad MDMA-fuelled bricklaying skills, Jay almost certainly fashioned a pile of bricks from the abundant supply of cacti around him, then knocked up a makeshift shelter, using cactus spines to pin things together. Of course he would have been careful to not let these cactus plants bite him as they sometimes do, the evil little feckers. I daresay he made his construction task a more entertaining endeavour, by timing himself constructing the shelter, doubtless using the watch he handily acquired earlier to do this. Using the glass from the watch as a magnifying glass has enabled him to start a camp fire on which he is knocking up delicious soup snacks from wild prickly pears and cactus petals around him. He passes the time whilst awaiting rescuers by continuing to be part of the new rave generation thanks to the mescaline he is obtaining from cacti. Now he simply awaits the arrival of a search helicopter overhead, which he will easily signal using the glass face of the watch as a heliograph.

Brit guy went missing in that area over a year ago, still not found... Peoples phones are a good clue, analysing can show where everyone was and at what time.. even Insta and deleted can be restored.

I realise the incident is in another country but don't the UK Police have the power to go and question Lucy, Brad and Qassim, as UK citizens? Plus, if Qassim has already been convicted for drug offences...surely.
The media doesn’t have access to report on every phone call and interview the police are conducting. They very well may have been in touch with them without reporting it to the media. A lot goes on behind the scenes as well during an active investigation, they’ll only put out what they want or feel the need to.
That costs money, and lets be honest does anyone believe any of it.
Unfortunately not, as the crime was outside of the UK, and we no longer have rights to involve Europol. It would need to be picked up by Interpol, on the agreement and arrangement between the UK & Spanish police.. and that means a lot of red tape for a missing person. If Jay's body turns up and there is evidence of murder or homicide, then they would be contacted. The Spanish Police however, if they found more evidence relating to foul play, but still no sign of Jay could apply for an extradition order for questioning purposes, or agree with the police force to visit them (accompanied), however they wouldnt be able to take them out of the UK without a court order
