  • Learn this fun drawing technique, and see what you can do without looking at your paper at all!
    Materials:
    •Paper
    •Pen (or any drawing tool)
Object to draw (person, shoes, musical instrument, toy, fruit... anything!)
    Note:
The objective is to look at the object you are drawing, not at your paper, but if that is proving difficult, draw in a sketchbook with one of the pages on top of your drawing hand so your drawing is covered up. Or place a napkin over your hand and artwork as you are working.
    Steps:
•Start with the tip of your pen on a blank sheet of paper. Try to keep the pen tip on the paper the entire time.
•Look at the object you are drawing and not at the paper. If you have trouble doing this, consider keeping an extra piece of paper over your drawing to cover it (a sketchbook works better for this).
•As your eye moves around the object, explore the details of the object using your eyes while drawing it on the paper.
•Do your best to slowly move your eyes over the object and see the lines and the contours and at the same time draw them with your hand.
•Once you're finished with your drawing, you can lift up your pen and look at your drawing. Oftentimes the result can be quite silly, but it's a lot of fun!
•This is a great drawing exercise and the more you practice the more realistic your drawings become.
