- This video is an instructional video showing how to remove seats from a 2006-2012 Toyota RAV4. It’s a fairly simple process, the mechanism for the seat drop is the hardest part. Good luck!

The best-detailed video on removing the back seat of a RAV 4, especially on disconnecting the cable system.

The bolts in my 05 aren’t as easy to get even get too with my wrench and I can’t find any other video showing my model :(( do you possibly know??
How do you remove brown tray in front of you at the end of video? Looking for end of electrical connector for speed sensor
I’m just trynna get my car fast 😅
I just got a Rav4 sport 2008 and it dosnt have the 3rd row seat, is it folded away or did my Rav just not come with that optional 3rd row seat? I havnt checked back there I just got it last week
Congrats! The Ravs are decent vehicles. As for the third row, it will either be folded down or you don’t have that option. Not many RAV’s came with the third row option. Best of luck with your new RAV!
You would benefit tremendously from a camera man
Thanks, appreciate that. You got the idea though, right?
Dope man thanks
Thank you! Just removed my seats along with your video, awesome tutorial.
Great help, thank you! Now where's the link to the platform video? ;)

That was exactly what i was hoping to find. Thanks dude
Thank you for the easy to follow guide!
I love your builds , I have a 2016 x5 bmw .. I can’t get the backs of my seats out 🙄I really want a flat base . So now it’s mostly flat since I removed the seat . So I will need to build a platform Floor) and then the platform bed . But I just love your simple minimalist style !
Thank you so much! Hopefully you get the backs out so you can get a flat base!! Good luck!
9/16 socket ....in a Toyota?
Yep! I didn’t make it, I just took it apart. You can probably still use a metric, it’ll be loose but still do-able if you must use metric.
You make it look easy. Thanks
No, Thank you! I try to make it so anyone can follow and do themselves
I needed a little Liquid Wrench, alongside your video… and total success! Thanks Smitty!
Yeah, some of those bolts were tough! Especially for the seat belts! Glad you got it done. :)
For the seats, can you remove either or seat as in the small rear or the bigger one, not both if one wanted to? Thanks for this
Yes, absolutely! They are separate seats, just bolted down by 4/6 bolts and the mechanism for dropping the seats from the rear. Hope this helps.
Can i just take 1 seat out and remaining be safe?
Yeah, I’m sure you can! You’ll just have to build around the seat.
Your a live saver!
Anytime! I’m here to help.
Front seat the same I assume?
Yes, but when you disconnect the front seat bolts, then the sensors it gave a seatbelt and airbag warning so you’ll have to take that module off the seat and then reconnect it. Well, mine did.
is there a pt 2 yet? the bed.,.. :)
Yep!
