I bought the cinema 600 to put in my daughters room since she watches a lot of Disney movies. I have the jbl 3.1 in the bedroom.
For movies I prefer the klipsch as the dialogue sounds clearer and more full. For music the jbl wins hands down. The sub on the jbl sounds a lot better to me which is surprising because I bought the cinema 600 because reviewers raved about the sub. It’s not a bad sub and if I didn’t have the jbl I assume I would’ve loved it more but it does it’s job; like I said it’s in my daughters room.
It would confuse me when people would say “for music pick this, for movies pick that” because I was of the mindset of if something sounds good, it sounds good, regardless if movies or music is playing through them. Now that I have both I have a better understanding of those comments.

I bought per recommendation by Andrew Robinson. For our living space it works flawlessly. Sound is crisp, full, and dynamic. And loud.
There's either a power saving option or a latency issue if you pause media for like more than 5-6 minutes, on resuming it take 3 seconds for the bar to wake back up, but other than that no issues with it. The sub-woofer is massive and rattles my home like nature intended.

Too late, Randy. You already made me buy the Diamond 11.4’s, which lead to the 11.cs, and then Diamond 220’s as surrounds because the 11 series had been discontinued. I think you owe it to me to review the 220’s or 225’s. I think you know in your heart, it’s the right thing to do.

You should consider reviewing klipsch the fives powered monitors. I own a pair with a subwoofer and I'm blown away at the quality of sound they produce. They quite easily blast soundbars out of the water and include hdmi arc so these and be plugged into anything. The slam and presence they have is insane and probably better than most floorstanding speakers. Plus they look really clean and trying to not stare at them all day is a challenge lol. I think you'd like these more than any of the klipsch rp line. If you do try out the fives make sure to turn off dynamic bass eq and use a subwoofer to unlock the midrange and get higher volumes.

Just a reminder...This review is 2 years old, for those having a buzzing sound it's because Klipsch use switching power supply with crappy chinese capacitors (I repair a BAR 48 lately and it sound amazing) , the repair will not correct the intermittent bluetooth connection problem some may encounter with Klipsch bar.

Both you and Mr. Robinson praise this thing. I disagree. Totally unusable in a condo or apartment. You have to crank it to 58 to hear all the details. Dialog is especially tricky to get right. The sub is earth-shattering (not a good thing) and the surrounds even when maxed, have very little sound coming out of them. I've spent a year and a half getting to know it, tweaking every possible configuration and I just can't justify the hype from other users. I got a really great deal on it however and for that, I am very grateful, but it is not a precision instrument. At low levels, my Denon 250 Bluetooth speaker outperforms it in regards to clarity, precision, and balance. Scoff if you must... Also, don't bother streaming music on the 600. It's terrible. If a Klipsch has to blasted to get the best out of it, then I guess it's not for me. If I can't hear whispers on any system running at 40%, then it's not worth the investment. With the 600, you will find your thumb always on the remote guessing at every moment or at every commercial break to adjust accordingly. Not to mention constantly getting up off the sofa to see where the modes are at because the lights are on top. I appreciate both of you though. Thanks for all the work you do.

Where is the EQ for the app, that they have been promising for YEARS!!!???? Right now, the app is ABSOLUTELY USELESS!!!!! I can't believe how HORRIBLE Klipsch has become with their customer service. Sound bars have there place and purpose thanks for the review. Not everyone has the space for a large surround system or even a small system. Is it going to blow away a dedicated surround system probably not but almost any sound bar is going to blow the socks off the tiny cheap rear facing TV speakers. I've got an atmos sound bar in my bedroom and love it because it's that or the TV speakers.

Great review. I actually just demo'd one of these in the 3.1 set-up.
Not quite my jam (I'm a bit of a 2ch analogue nerd that only does movies occasionally), but holy hell, does this just rock! Simplest thing ever to use. Sounds great with just about any audio or video inputs especially for the price. Also unlike almost all Klipsch products it doesn't look offensive in the average living room.
I've now recommended this to 4 friends, because for $700 Canadian kopecks (3.1), I can't think of anything that will work as well while also being so amazingly simple.

You are right about this soundbar. I listened to it last black Friday season when it was on sale for $299, and the 2.1 version, the cinema 400 was only $199. I almost pulled the trigger, however, my "el jefe" aka beautiful wife (she really is beautiful) reminded me that I just bought the Sony Cores (and later the Wharfedale 11.2's). Recently, after a long time of trying to show the girls in the house how to turn on the Marantz receiver and turn the huge dial until it reads "Nintendo" or "Bluray" on the customizable display, to get sound out of the TV, I'm back in the soundbar market, for guess what, A BARGAIN SOUNDBAR. I'll keep it short, I listened to SEVERAL under the $400 range (budget under $200 realistically) and chose the LG SL4Y at Best Buy, recently on sale for $129, usually sells for $149. It's a 2.1 system (medium-sized wireless sub) and it sounds FRIGGIN AWESOME! It also sounds good with music. A close 2nd place was the Polk Signa S2 for $179 that also sounds great, but a bit less lively than the LG which was cheaper and a bit more just engaging. I URGE you to check this one out as a SUPER CHEAP AUDIO MAN VALUE SOUNDBAR. Great review, again, and can't wait for the next one! www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-2-1-channel-300w-soundbar-system-with-6-subwoofer-black/6355625.p?skuId=6355625

Hi, have you noticed a very low noise like a interference in the subwoofer (sounds like "shhhh"), it is felt when you listen at a very low volume (close to the minimum) and there is silence in the room, it is even more felt if you approach the subwoofer.
I also noticed that noise is when the bar sends bass to the subwoofer, if it is not playing bass it does not make the noise. I bought 2 cinema 600s and they both make the same interference noise, so it doesn't seem like a unit defect,. Do you know what it can be? ,the subwoofer is next to the bar, less than half a meter, I tried to unplug all the electrical equipment in my house (even put down the circuits from the central panel), including the wireless ones, just leave the bar and the subwoofer connected to electricity, and the noise continues, so it is not an electrical problem in my house, nor is it wireless interference. Besides if the problem were electrical or interference, the noise would be all the time, and here the noise appears only when the subwoofer receives audio data, when the bar does not send sound signals the subwoofer is silent, so I interpret that it is a manufacturing failure in some component, or is it a defect of the wireless system with which it is necessary to live. To hear the noise, 3 conditions have to be met at the same time that perhaps very few people meet them to notice it. The conditions are
1- Have the sound almost to the minimum (between 1 and 2 volume LEDs, Up to 3 volume LEDs can also be heard, after that level the sound already covers the noise).
2-The room must be completely closed and silent (nor no noise from the street or outside)
3- You have to be less than one meter from the subwoofer (or listen to it directly from the subwoofer output if you do not have a good ear) and play audio that dominates the bass, since if there is a lot of mids or treble they will cover the noise of the subwoofer.
it becomes annoying when there is silence and listening at low volume
    Thanks!

My old Samsung soundbar that I had in my bedroom for years took a crap. I tried a few other soundbars to replace it but I had also decided that I want to be able to listen to decent music in my bedroom sometimes. I tried a Samsung, LG and JBL and was very disappointed in music quality. I should have tried the Klipsch 600. I bought the Yamaha 5.1 system that Best Buy has for $499. It has the RX-V385 receiver (I think that's the model). The front speakers that come with the Yamaha were pretty lacking with music so I replaced them with Sony SSCS5s. I believe I found out about them from you. And holy crap it made a huge difference. Now when I listen music it sounds really good. Honestly everything sounds good. I mostly listen to Tidal though my Roku and it sounds really good.

I got a 2.1 LG for under 200 and it's great for movies, TV, and background/entertaining music. Then, I have my nice 2 channel set up for music listening only. Super happy. Hi, would you recommend adding the Cinema 600 Sound Bato the YAMAHA RX-A4A AVENTAGE 7.1-Channel AV Receiver? I'm considering a sound bar w/SUB to be an additional component because I have to place the Subwoofer behind my TV due to very minimal space so a powered SUB won't do because I'd have to pull out my entertainment center each and every time I want to use the subwoofer. So I'm thinking Blu Tooth is the way to go . . Please help. Super NEW to the AV world here. Thanks!

This is just my opinion and.experience with TV's. You said your old 1080 tv looks sharper than your 4k does. Have you adjusted any settings on the 4k tv? If.not, I would suggest turning the backlight up all the way while also turning up sharpness. On older TV's you typically want sharpness down because the whole edge detect software was weird but on new 4k TV's turning up sharpness really brings the overall picture out.

I have the 5.1 bundle and this system is really underrated. Ive tried more than a few sound bar systems with subs and this one blows everything out of the water. No issues with hookup or pairing either. I had one for 3 weeks this past Xmas ... returned it. IF you care about TV sound first and foremost do get it but if you listen to music just as much I would skip it. I was constantly tweaking the sound on it going from show to show even, the sub while tameable is a behemoth. IF you have no space for a receiver and 2 speakers then by all means get it otherwise skip it.

Thank you for your content.... I trust you. 👏🏻😂
Have you listened to Dolby Atmos music tracks on the echo studio? I've been blown away by just that speaker alone...
But I'm always looking for simple yet great sounding bars or speakers.
I know people really like connecting two echo studios with the sub... For around $500ish...
So I'm curious any thoughts, if you have any experience, in hearing that set up.
    Keep on-

My main beef against "open concepts": poor/no choices for surround speakers. The ones in the Cinema 600 are powered speakers so you'll still have to deal with wires, outlets....
I'm with you with older non smart TV's, my main TV is a Panasonic plasma TV , only 1080 but a more pleasing picture than TV's with a gazillion K's! Great review.

Reminder that like most Klipsch products this will go on sale for Prime Day and Black Friday. I purchased mine for $400 on Prime Day 2021, not as good a deal as in the past but still well worth the $400. Movies and TV are fantastic, music is meh. I actually ended up buying a separate two channel system with an echo link vs using the soundbar for Amazon music over the TV. It truly was a night and day difference. For simple background music listening, this sound bar is fine, but I felt it lacking the soundstage and detail I desired. Hence I shelled out some additional money for a two channel system.
You could easily do this sound bar for $500 and do a two channel system for $500 and have the best of both worlds. Have systems that avoid clutter and are much more aesthetically pleasing and stylish.

Andrew Robinson gave it a good review also also the buttons on the remote wore out within a month but still I want to try it one more time and not touch the remote too much do you think they will replace it I want to send back the whole thing for a whole new one it's still brand new looking the remote looks like trash because your fingers wear off the black on the remote and the light shines through and it came with the right tweeter out of line it sticks up in the back I would very much appreciate your feedback I like your videos therefore I'm going to push the like button thank you so much. It's going to take me another month just to come up with the money to send it back my 49 in LG 4K TV broke just before that from what I heard about them the company will discourage you now what?

After seeing this title I had a suspicion that you might be making a joke. After watching the video, I knew you had no idea what you were talking about. No soundbar is good for listening to music unless you are sitting three feet away from it. The video is the biggest disappointment ever. What you claim is physically impossible. By the way, I heard this soundbar at a friend's house. Any mini system manages better stereo sound than this soundbar.
