I don't think I've ever heard a Dessa song that didn't blow me away. Admittedly, the first time I heard this I was a bit disappointed since it sounds so similar to most of her other songs. But now I've had this on repeat for a few days and can't get over how much of a supremely talented person she is. I don't care if she isn't diversifying her style more. This is a fantastic song by a couple of fantastic individuals and I'm happy to listen to it. Great job on the song guys

I was actually shocked when I first heard this song because of how experimental it sounds and how it's so different from her previously released songs--with the exception of _some_ of her songs from Parts of Speech. In any case, Dessa continues to impress me and not stay limited in her comfort zone.
Yes :) Ive had the pleasure of hearing everything she has recorded (I believe). And this song just keeps getting better with each listen, it has soul for sure. You are right. She is so unique and smart in the fact that she uses so many different facets with her music and her voice. I think people can become trapped in a way by the "genre's" of music they are put into, or chose for themselves, with some not being able to evolve over time, or continue with their inspirations. Dessa seems to have built many hatches to that genre box, because nobody is trapping her under any labels :) That is truly an artistic way of being.
My girlfriend and I were almost speechless. Dessa has again remained true to her own style while reppin' that doomtree technique that can't can't be sweated. Don't sweat the tech.. Keep it up!
Can't believe I didn't hear this yet. Dessa exists on this unique level as being an amazing singer and a really amazing rapper/lyricist. Hell i've even watched a video on how she writes haha.
