    Great overview of the beautiful sights of Tasmania. I have always wondered what the geography and vibe was there. Thank you!

      You do indeed - live in a paradise!
      Lucky you!.. and please, keep it that way. I visit every year from Sydney and there's always something new to discover.
      ...still, I haven't made up my mind which 'drop' is best:
      James Boags or Cascade?

    This is one of the best tasmanian road trip videos I've seen ! great footage, great sound track!
    Im glad you took a decent amount of time to see the island. Many people make the mistake of thinking they can see Tasmania in a mere 3 days, definitely give yourself 1 to 2 weeks if you plan to visit. The short distances by road are often winding and eventful and need to be taken in short sections to be really enjoyed.
    I will say though you missed seeing two important regions. The historic midlands Georgian sandstone villages, such as Bothwell and Oatlands with its historic wind powered flour mill and the broad sweeping plains where the worlds finest merino wool is grown also the deep south, the gorgeous Huon Valley. Hartz mountains, Sleeping beauty, Hastings caves, thermal springs and Willy Smith's Apple cider museum.
    There's a little something for you to come back for 😉

    Nice one, a few gems you missed: National Park & Russell Falls, Styx with some of the world's tallest flowering trees, Southport & Cockle Creek! Arthur RIver, Bridport, Bridestow Lavender, Lake St Clair, Narawntapu and Boat Harbour, but what you covered in the time was impressive, I always think the drive out to Gordon Dam is an interesting day trip as it's quite different from other parts of the state, just a shame you can't really cut over to the west coast - so it is a trek when time is short. Nice you made this video as it might be a while before folk can see this for real. Thanks for sharing, lovely quality. 👍🐾🦘😎

    Thanks for making such an awesome video of the apple Isle. I want to go there this year with my caravan.
    Question, can you get to most of these places with a 21' caravan?

    • @mattbriar
      @mattbriar  5 років тому

      Hey there. Not sure what 21' means? But every road we went on apart from one where we did a bush walk down to a farely standard waterfall would be no problem at all. Even the road up to stanly we took with the little car ferry would be fine for a large campervan. Gravel roads we encountered were all very wide and hard packed.

    Really well put together guys, but can you take it down as we don't want too many people knowing how great Tasmania is? ;-) BTW what cameras did you use?

    • @mattbriar
      @mattbriar  5 років тому

      Lol nice one! Whole thing was shot on a gopro hero 6 and a dji spark drone. Hope that helps ☺.

      sorry i haven't gotten back to you, forgot about comments lol. It was a simple gopro 6 and a DJI spark drone and used FXPX to edit on a Mac

    A lot of the drone footage in this video was shot in National Parks, where drones are banned. There are various reasons for this ban, one of which is the disruption of other people's enjoyment of the environment. And, to be honest, one should think twice flying drones generally when other people are about.

      @@garybrewer9059 It's easy to make derogatory comments about a person's character online Gary. I've spent more than forty years enjoying Tasmania's National Parks and sharing them with visitors from interstate and overseas. In more recent times, some of that enjoyment has been reduced somewhat by people like you who don't care about impacting on the experience of others. All I've done above is state the facts. If you liked Tassie so much I hope you'll come back, but leave your drone in its case when you're visiting our National Parks.

    • @garybrewer9059
      @garybrewer9059 3 роки тому +2

      I stand by what I said. You bemoan free publicity for Tasmania in general and Parks in particular.
      Just how many people are flying drones that apparently are getting in your way ? One a year I bet.
      Look at the positive and stop being negative.
      P.s. we have a drone shoot planned for the end of autumn - hope you can make it .
