This video is old but I watch it all the time. I have a 20 ft one I designed. Me and wife live in ours alot even in 100 plus degrees in Louisiana. Great video thanks God bless. 👍
Love your liner. Been wanting to live exactly like your wife and you. Im happy for you both. Live with nature instead of being a slave to the consumerist cultures.... You know what I'm trying to say .. im such a fool when I put a message. Thanks though!!! You inspired and encourage me I live how you psinted your teepee so symbolically
Rig up an inside fire as a "Dakota Firepit." Bring in fresh air from outside the tipi, underground, to underneath the fire. You can use pipe or flat rocks to make the buried air intake. Gets rid of the smoke, fire burns hotter, uses third of the fuel.
Nice video. I like your tipi alot. I also am very jealous of your buffalo robe. Where did you get it? My tipi is a small 12 footer, but it is a nice little tipi to take camping. Maybe you know this, but a good idea for winter camping, is set up 2 liners, one so air can come underneath and the other you can stuff hay or dry grass between, for added insulation.
Thank you for posting this! Very informative and clearly explained. I did have two questions for you as a result of this video: 1) does not having a floor of any kind in your tipi allow the cold from the ground to absorb into your bed roll? 2) Using your method of staking your liner, how long can one anticipate a liner to last? I ask these things because I just recently purchased and raised a tipi myself, and, if possible, I would like to avoid purchasing a floor simply because I like having the open ground in the tipi, and I don't want to weigh my liner down so much as to make moving the lodge inconvenient. Thanks!
I. Wonder if thise huge nails are stuck through the liner or how do you put those nails exactly?..i didn’t get it how you pull...or wht do you pull thks
Hey your doggies want to go in ..,thanks for all those infos.,very interesting!!!.wonder if the Native Americans...still have some infos to show other people teepee concerning...
