You are never too old! my instructor is 62 and still flying, I am 45 and only starting out. Why not try a tandem flight. Go for it, life is too short. Cheers.
Michael is a rock star !!!! I just purchased a 2005 Ozone Buzz L with a Giingo harness, can't wait to get to the training hill and see the wing overhead, I will be 64 in a week and hope I can be as durable as he. The rmhga.org is the local club in GOLDEN, Co.
I've watched 100's of beginner videos and that was the best. I'm 65 and looking into getting into this sport. I'm a pilot and this just plain looks like fun....
What a wonderful and refreshing movie clip. I wonder how that fellow was? I am an old timer (67) and I surely would love to learn how to do that. I think maybe I've arrived at my longevity just a little too soon (or too late) to learn that. I guess I can always dream and envy that lucky fellow.
A pleasent comment, Only reason the wing wouldn't go forwrd was because he kept applying the brakes, an easy beginners mistake when things go wrong. Michael has been flying safely for some time now and still enjoying the sport. Cheers
That would be their harness that they sit in and contains back protection and or an airbag. Also has pockets for storage and connects directly to the wing's risers. Hope that helps.
Cool looks similar to the hills here in Scotland mate, i have spoke to a pilot from Belfast who just went through his ep maybe in same school i dont know, cant imgaine to many schools about Belfast area...Anyway keep it up..Ps that was funny tho..
You answered your own question there. Problem is you may even get badly hurt as you tried to be in the air or to handle the wing. Try get a tandem flight with a safe pilot first to see if you like it or find a school giving taster days and see how you get on. Keep it fun and safe so you can do it for longer.
Hi, weight shouldn't be a problem as long as you are fit enough to undertake the training. If you are fit enough then there should be a wing out there for you. Best Check with an instructor. Good luck if you go ahead.

Inspirational - I am 63 and just starting an EPC course in Wiltshire. Nice to learn from the experiencs of others.
I stopped paragliding because I thought I was too old at 64. This gives me new hope. Thanks
