I love the way this ride is designed. There is nothing like that on the East Coast and there is still nothing like it. This should be in Planet Coaster 2. Who’s with me?
And the low speeds. In fact, it benefits from it - because the ride vehicle travels at such low speeds compared to other coasters, in order to generate G-forces everything has to be super-tight. This thing still manages ejector airtime over those small but super-sharp hills.
some high level ride detail tbh. i love the design of the cart vehicle the lift system. the all wooden built track. even a animatronic with a mini show scene? whats not to love
I will testify it is one of the best mine rides ever. Its history is very interesting as well it was a slow, family themed ride decades ago . You feel like its possibly dangerous no joke. What I.B. does in such a small area is amazing !
How fantastic! It sounds as rickety as hell which is just perfect for it. I loved how tight the cross bars seemed overhead when it went belting down the mine shaft. Brilliant looking ride and well filmed 👍😊
I'm thinking the overhead clearances in some of the interior portions aren't that great, meaning tall people could possibly get hurt having their arms up so they added the net? I don't know for sure, I've never been on it. The space looks tight just looking at the video.
@@tehlyingcake1096 it is tight. The net prevents you to put your hands up and smack almost every clearance in the ride. Some parts it always seems like only have a couple inches clearance on the cars
I love that you made it to Indiana Beach! I live about 40 miles away and pretty much grew up at this park. This ride is a newer addition, I must admit I haven't been in quite a few years.
Quite the interesting coaster. You have an elevator lift on a wooden coaster, a choice of riding forwards or backwards, the enclosed cars, a mountain theme, and a complete stop to watch an animatronic.
Indiana beach is the coolest and most unique place ever . Lost coaster is the most unique coaster and my favorite ride there . You can sit backwards or forwards and every time is a riot . One of the funnest coasters i've ever rode and leaves me with a perma grin every time . Proof you don't have to be the tallest or fastest to give you one heck of a ride . On strictly a fun factor i think it's as fun as Steel Vengeance at Cedar Point . That's right i said it .
A great little coaster. I went on it twice, and it broke down twice. Once on the lift and then inside on one of the drops. Maintenance guy had the look of a broken man..
Just got derailed of this ride yesterday! The platform that raises you up never dropped, and they for some reason sent us and half our cart was hanging over the edge where the elevator normally is. Had to be evacuated. Wild experience lol
Fun fact: Superstition Mountain was actually a dark ride, similar to The Den of Lost Thieves. Superstition Mountain was closed for a few years, because of the problems that it had in operation and the fact that got to be difficult to maintain. But one of the owners at the time didn't want to take the ride down because it was special to them. So they slightly remodeled the design to be used as a roller coaster. This is why there's so many hairpin turns. They were working around the layout of the dark ride. Another fun fact; most of the coaster runs in the opposite direction that the dark ride ran in. The train that you see at the end was one of the first things seen on the dark ride.
Journey to Atlantis @ Sea World San Diego has a similar lift right before the final drop, but that one's a water/boat ride that goes down a rollercoaster track! 🌊
How fun! Of course since it's in northern Indiana, to make it more historically accurate it should be a ride on a gigantic slow dragline strip mining machine....
I think the locomotive decoration that almost crashes into you was part of the haunted house ride from years ago. As a little kid that thing was terrifying. Ride is fun except if you have long legs. Also, capacity is so low! What seems like a super short line may take 30 minutes
I love the way this ride is designed. There is nothing like that on the East Coast and there is still nothing like it. This should be in Planet Coaster 2. Who’s with me?
Me
I like how this ride can get away with having a jagged / crooked track because it fits the old timey western mineshaft theme
prolly because of dynamite willy
And the low speeds. In fact, it benefits from it - because the ride vehicle travels at such low speeds compared to other coasters, in order to generate G-forces everything has to be super-tight. This thing still manages ejector airtime over those small but super-sharp hills.
This actually has the feel of a (sorta) actual runaway minecart with the design of the track and the carts themselves, and I love it!
some high level ride detail tbh. i love the design of the cart vehicle the lift system. the all wooden built track. even a animatronic with a mini show scene? whats not to love
Not the biggest, not the fastest but pure fun! What a unique ride. Can't wait to get back to Indiana Beach someday 😌
They're closing the entire park
That was before Gene Stapes bought it and saved it…
I was there just 2 days ago my first roller-coaster was this
@@gringaenperu4945 no...no we're not. :)
@marnou "Lost Coaster of Superstition Mountain" at Indiana Beach, Monticello, Indiana, USA
I am glad this ride and park survived the threat of closure. I love this ride because it is memorably unique.
What a cool coaster. I imagine something like this at a highly themed park would be AMAZING.
Amusement parks look at the number of rides per hour and this will not be concerned financially viable to build today
I laughed when willie said fire in the hole n all it did was slightly move the wooden frame. Yea willie. U so dangerous. Run along now. 🤣
I will testify it is one of the best mine rides ever. Its history is very interesting as well it was a slow, family themed ride decades ago .

What I.B. does in such a small area is amazing !
What an awesome little ride! That would be really fun to ride, if not a little rough.
How fantastic! It sounds as rickety as hell which is just perfect for it. I loved how tight the cross bars seemed overhead when it went belting down the mine shaft. Brilliant looking ride and well filmed 👍😊
So much better now that everything in the ride actually works. I'll have to finally give this a ride again.
This ride can be so spooky at night & during Halloween, I love it!
I find it irresponsible that nobody tells you Dynamite Willy is on the loose before you even get on the ride!
But surely you've heard the legend of Superstition Mountain!
Lol
@@MsRedNebulaPlays I don't think the locals were nice enough to warn them
Totally
The local people don't like to talk about him
Disney seriously needs a ride like this.
Big Thunder Mountain is the closest they have to it.
I’ve never seen a roller coaster like that with a net. It’s interesting but I also think it will make you feel more secure and safer.
I'm thinking the overhead clearances in some of the interior portions aren't that great, meaning tall people could possibly get hurt having their arms up so they added the net?

One of the most creative coasters I've seen.
This is an adorable coaster. 10/10
I remember when it was once a dark ride. Still kinda is. Fun unique coaster either way
What in the world is this! It looks amazing! What a random crazy set up of a ride.
Absolutely love this ride when it's not broken down!
now this is a vintage cool looking ride that everyone should be able to enjoy
What a great ride! And an even better video! Nice overview at the end appreciated.
I love that you made it to Indiana Beach! I live about 40 miles away and pretty much grew up at this park. This ride is a newer addition, I must admit I haven't been in quite a few years.
Got the chance to ride it last week. It's easily the smoothest and most comfortable coaster at the park.
Appreciate the sky ride shots of the coaster!
Quite the interesting coaster. You have an elevator lift on a wooden coaster, a choice of riding forwards or backwards, the enclosed cars, a mountain theme, and a complete stop to watch an animatronic.
My favorite ride there! And in my Top-10 wooden coaster list. Such a fun ride.
This thing looks awesome! I hope the ride experience is fun.
Oh hey, I remember going on that ride before in one of my summer vacations.

I think this is my favorite. So beautiful and detailed.
Now this is a cool ride
Dynamite Willy, you maniac!!!! Someone do something!!!!
this ride is cool as hell actually
A great little coaster. I went on it twice, and it broke down twice. Once on the lift and then inside on one of the drops. Maintenance guy had the look of a broken man..
Great ride one of my favorites at my home park.
Ive never seen one start like that. Talk about unique
This ride looks pretty neat!
Seems really fun and pretty creative
this ride is sneaky fun! omg
thats really cool!!! reminds me of the old gold rusher ride we used to have at kennywood
Very cool unique ride
Super awesome 😎 ride
The carts looks so adorable, I want to ride them and add them to a roller coaster tycoon park
Rough and tumble, it’s a tonne of fun 🤩
Thats really unique! Pretty exciting and long as well!
That’s pretty cool! What a great ride
this looks so fun

This actually looks pretty fun. Would def do it.
Wow this ride looks like fun! I’ll definitely try it sometime! I also love the cart, the design is really good.
This looks like a lovely amusement park!
The track really had me fooled. Out of all wooden coasters I've seen, I've never seen one like this.
It’s fun and all! But it’s always packed! One summer someone got stuck up in the ride!
love the safety netting
Lol that’s an old school kinda ride, I like it 🤘
Very good 👍👍👏👏
This looks like fun
This ride looks like alot, of fun!😅
What a cool coaster!
Looks rough, but charming. I'd ride it.
So cool!
Very different. I like it.
This is the only coaster I have ever seen with a lift rather than a lift hill.
Journey to Atlantis @ Sea World San Diego has a similar lift right before the final drop, but that one's a water/boat ride that goes down a rollercoaster track! 🌊
@@SeanTheDon-vj4kwTechnically, the correct term is “Water Coaster”
01:04 what a realistic spider web
That crazy skelliton
Thankyou great ride
XD what is that?!
That is one of the weirdest Rollercoaster I’ve ever seen.
Such a great ride! Unpredictable, rickety (as you'd expect on a mine train), good theming. Would be great with some music I feel. Love it though...
That was a surprise. Not bad. 👍
Nice that you can hear the train horn from the sky ride.
Pretty cool coaster! 👍 It's kinda like Calico Mine Ride's little brother or something! 😁
I now no longer feel bad about my earlier Planet Coaster wooden coaster layouts.
Love the many twists and turns in this ride! Would love to ride! PWG
I 1st thought this ride looks like an interesting concept and odd. But, I would ride this. Looks fun.
So coool wooden coaster ❤ I love thé coaches.
This ride looks like a lot of fun! They could do away with the netting, though, I think.
INDIANA BEACH IS LIFE
That does look fun
This ride makes me really appreciate Disney rides.
Wow. I got to ride it. It's rickety and the dark parts...yeah
This looks very DIY! 🙂
How fun! Of course since it's in northern Indiana, to make it more historically accurate it should be a ride on a gigantic slow dragline strip mining machine....
Wow this looks very impressive, surprised I haven't heard of it until now!
Seems like a charming but rough ride. Probably needs more Dynamite Willy though.
I like the netting, it means they can pack more in a smaller space without people sticking their hands out
Cool little ride
This ride looks like a lot of fun! I'm kinda confused by the seating though. Is one roll always facing backwards?
Each car has two front facing and two rear facing seats. And there are two cars per train
yes, the second row faces backwards. i imagine it’s a fun way to make it more thrilling for people who enjoy more thrilling rides
I think the locomotive decoration that almost crashes into you was part of the haunted house ride from years ago. As a little kid that thing was terrifying.

This is so cool
This was the first ever rollercoster I've ever rode 👀
I would def go on this is , i would feel so safe in that seat lol
いやぁ~これは素晴らしいなぁ!狭い敷地で見事だわ。めちゃくちゃ面白そいだろこの木造コースター!
I road this ride and the ride got stuck for real I’m not joking
Love this ride even though it screws up my back
Reminds me of the Mine Ride from Cedar Point and The Adventure Express from King's Island
This reminds me of Minecraft. This ride seems quite old but maintained well.
Ride looks like its more terrifying and intimidating at night
