The point that Wesley and Boyd made about how different people need to "feel" different parts of their body during the swing was so important for me. For years I would take lessons and instructors would focus on my lower body; starting the downswing with the lower body, "firing" hips, pulling the front hip back, weight transfer, etc. I had some early extension and wasn't rotating very well so that made sense to me, but it wasn't working. I didn't really understand how the golf swing was supposed to feel. Then one day I just decided to forget about all that and just focus on getting my hands in front of the ball. Everything in my lower body and release fixed itself when I started feeling my arms and hands. It just depends on the person. Hopefully someone can use that to change the way they think about swinging.
I met Boyd Summerhays at the Northern Trust this year. He was following Tony Finau. I mentioned to him that I was pulling for his guy and I liked watching him on Swing Expedition. He was a nice guy. Gave me a big smile, patted me on the back, told me thank you, and told me to have a good time.

The best advice I ever had was to use the swing that got me to my highest level of play. Don't tinker too much. It could damage you. Do what comes naturally.

couldn’t disagree more, i know a lot of good players that don’t know much about the golf swing
@@clints8888 there’s no doubt that there’s a lot of good players who don’t know much about the swing, but an instructor who played at the professional level can relate to a person playing at a high level and also realizes what they have got them to where they’re at. Because of that they won’t change a whole lot of what they do, just tighten things up a bit.
So nice to see how golf instructors go in detail on Pro tour’s swing touch. I’m in a process of finding my swing and this video helped a lot. Free lessons is always a plus.

One of my favorite golf swings.
Thinking about the hip tilt and feel at impact was a game changer for me this morning. Launch on irons drops a few degrees per club and was a much more penetrating shot. Thanks for the free lesson 😬

Wow..that little tip with the irons and keeping the left hip lower is exactly what I needed. I just went out into the yard and tried to implement that ...what a difference at impact that makes. And for a guy like me, I get a bit flippy with the hands...this seems to really promote more forward shaft lean...cool stuff Boys..Thanks!

I hope everyone sees how drastically simple tour coaches are. All these UA-cam teachers out now days about the hands gotta be here this has to be bowed feet gotta be here or there just doesn’t exist out on tour. Big difference in club pros teaching strategies and tour coaches. They are not trying to recreate the wheel.

I would love to find a swing coach that I could consistently work with. I mainly just bounce around trying out guys giving lessons but unfortunately most of them aren’t PGA professionals
Watched the whole video. Dont care what ya'll say, Wesley was swinging way to full and hard throughout, not gonna build consistency with tempo and rhytym like that. Don't know if he's trying to impress his coach or what the scenario is but this was much to full blast instead of having touch and feel which is Wesley's greatest strength.

OK I may have asked you this before George. On a average public course I probably shoot around 80. I’m looking to get a new set of irons what do you think would be the best irons to buy right now. I am 6 foot tall 52 years old and can still hit the ball about 285.

I've only watched the first 3 swings. Boyd busy giving Wedgely tips, I'd say quit swinging so hard and be a little easier bud. Overswinging and overpowering the wedges right now
