Omg! Been searching for this band for 20 years. Could never find them, my searches only came up with "white lines don't do it". Saw them play in a canteen in a university in london. They were great. Seem to remember the singer played a trombone. Was beginning to think i imagined the whole evening, but here they are.
Thanks for this. Just ordered the singles compilation. I've loved this band since hearing "Cool Snap". Now I've got to track down the albums. I thought there was only one but apparently there are two,
Always loved The Lines, they should have been much bigger. I got to meet them a few times, as Jo Forty was the the brother in law of our bass player back then. Even got to jam up briefly with Jo (if you ever get to read this Jo, any news on Vaughn ? ).

Jesus that bass!!!!
Without a doubt one of the coolest, most unsung post-punk classics. That bassline and everything else just mesmerizes me everytime
