This bassist Haraguchi San make me crazy. All band is top notch the best musicians worldwide Murata Tamu drums, Hazuki guitar virtuoso, Mayu awesome vocal and Saki guitar "monster". Great.
Mayu is phenomenal and she sounds almost the same live and their live is freaking amazing. There were two solos and dual in the song. That is a norm for many bands. These Japanese all female bands are unbelievable and better than most other bands, be it all male, mixed or all female. They are also inspirational regardless of who is listening to them. There are about 40 all female bands active right now and many new bands are popping out every month. The pandemic brought many global views and they are just going wild now. Lovebites, Band-Maid, Nemophila, Aldious, Bridear, Trident, Passcode and more punk rock/pop rock Scandal all have new albums.
You need to check out their cover of Linkin Park's "Given Up". Mayu carries a single scream for 17 seconds. Live, even Chester had to carry that scream in two breaths. Mayu? "F'ck it, I can do it in one." And then come out of that extended scream straight into cleans. Come on. Girl is a freak of nature.
Yes towards the end of that scream it starts to crack a bit but the breath control is very impressive one could say Floor esk and continues on immediately after .Saki new the potential of Mayu when they did the first shows as the band backing her on stage for the Mayu sessions before Nemophila started ua-cam.com/video/9hIJGj0sCpw/v-deo.html
Mayu did this live twice at the last online concert and she can do it live the girls do get carried away in a good way on stage with hair flying every where even the drummer head banging away .Hazuki hangs her glasses on the mike stand its a in joke and Hara and Tamu are always laughing and in communication they have a very good retherm section which allows Hazuki and Saki to rip, end of the last concert Saki was going hard on the guitar making some wield sounds. When they do finally play in front of actual fans there going to go nuts LOL

And I am not a person that gets dazzled at first sight by the singer, but everytime I am crying inside. Guys, don't you see what you have in front of your eyes? How good is Mayu? Yeah don't get angry, I also think Saki or Tamu are incredible, but Mayu is a power nowhere to be seen. She will explode in popularity in the coming years in the japanese metal scene. My fav Nemophila song is *Raitei,* you should also check that one. And their covers are awesome, do not be shy to react to one of them. Do you know that they have a cover of...Megitsune? Ah yeah and last, there is a lot of all-female bands now in Japan. Haven't you checked *Lovebites?* They are becoming pretty popular. And then all the others, Unlucky Morpheus etc.
Mayu has that all important X factor its not just the voice which is very good its the stage presence attitude gestors when singing only a few have it Freddie Mercury had it Floor Jansen has it we haven't had one with this much talent come through for some time and what a group of gals producing the sound all virtuoso at there instruments and oozing charisma and there not bad looking either lol ,Stars in the making .
The original idea was to support Mayu making a solo demo after Lipstick broke up. And, they liked the dynamics of how each worked with the others and they did another, and another, and... here we are. It was/is too good a combo, too good an energy, to walk away from. Gotta do more... YEEAAAHH!
Actually a lot of people still play guitar that way, but they are all females and live in Japan. Nemophila is just one of many great all female heavy rock japanese bands. We are afflicted with business majors in the music industry in the USA who would rather create a celebrity than foster an artist, ESPECIALLY a hard rock or metal act that knows what they and their listeners want. And (the corporations) will autotune everything into unrecognizability. It is a friggin hostile environment for real rock and metal. So musicians who could approach this level are discouraged from trying. No country's traditional corporate style music industry is entirely positive. But in Japan there seems to be more appreciation for hard rock and metal. And their ability to use tech and social media to promote appears to be well honed. Those things as well as Japan's generally positive attitude (from what I can see) toward musical arts, and a strong work ethic, appear to foster musical greatness, especially in rock and metal. Japan has many underground metal clubs reminiscent of the jazz club scene in postwar France. Hard rock and metal are happening, notably in Tokyo of course, but also in the motor city of Osaka (think Detroit in the 1970s). Osaka to me.
HELL YES! That opening scream sounds like an alleycat that went super saiyan. Godlike. Immediate GOAT status. Just discovered these amazing women. Liz Hale has always been one of my favorite metal rockers. This band of talented women kicks ass. Front woman is tops but wanna say the drummer and both guitars kill it here as well; well rounded group.
But you realize, that this band has not only a singer? She is great, but the other musiciana are also. They are all really young and talented, but Saki, the queen of shredding ia celebrating now 10 years on stage always with high quality. She also did put together Nemophila. Check out "brightness" her solo track and live songs of her main band "Mary's Blood"
If you want more brutal screams and crazy switches between vocal styles, check out Hanabie - Reiwa dating apps generation. It's another all-girl Japanese band.
If you are looking for all full metal girl bands with guitar solos then japan has got you coverd. To name a few: Aldious Bridear FATE GEAR Lovebites (insane dual guitar solos) Mary's blood (Saki of this band also plays in Mary's blood)
Check Bridear - Light In The Dark :), another japanese full female metal band :), and there is also (Serenity in murder - the rule) but that is only female fronted melodeath metal band :)

I love Mayu's voice, but I dont think she is a real "growler", I mean, I don't think she is in tne same league as Angela Gossow or the girl in Jinjer, not that I need it, anyway I love her "clean" voice and her compressed voice.
I wish there were more women in the U.S. who get this. Not a problem in South America or Europe. But why are women here so disinterested in this? Any ideas?
