Great video! Fun fact ( because I learned the hard way) your midi track should not be part of the drum buss and turn your reverb volume to off in GGD. That is creating the bleeding you hear on the midi track and you will need to print the midi to the assigned tracks. That way you can have full control of our processing and the midi track volume will not interfer.
Thanks for checking it out! Looks like I forgot to go through guitars on this one, and that’s my bad! All of the guitars were going through STL Will Putney suite’s stock settings with an EQ rolling off some low end and bx_refinement was taking care of the high “whistling” frequencies.
Thanks for checking out the video! Unfortunately, you can’t purchase the drum samples alone. They’re included in his course for mixing metal. If you look up “Brian Hood, FSTG” the course will come up. I think it’s like $300 though.
Looks like I forgot to go over guitar bus processing. My bad on that! I’d have to look back at the project, but I likely just rolled off some low end and let bx_refinement take care of the “whistling” frequencies. Thanks for checking out the video!
Thanks for checking out the video! Most of the kit is GGD Architects, but I supplemented the kick and snare with some samples from Brian Hood. Unfortunately I think they're only available by purchasing his mixing course which is like $300.
this is badass! hey man, I have a question do you know how to mix Afro Cuban punk? this shit sounds freaking so badass! here's a good example of what I mean ua-cam.com/video/lmkQLkEpo08/v-deo.html CC is English, cheers man! thanks for the videos!
This is by far my favorite mixing channel now. Thanks a ton man! I do some vocals and songs on my channel if you wanna check out some of my work. Peace man!
Amazing mix! I just love that there are a million ways to mix a metal track and nobody truly sounds the same.
The Rbass trick is what did it for me. I’ve been trying to get more out of my snares and you nailed it!
Thanks man! It’s a little overkill when you hear it solo’d, but in the mix I always love it! Thanks for checking out the video.
@@JustinTutor it’s absolutely killer. Loved the video man. I’m subbin right now

This was great. Thanks!
That townhouse buss comp is the absolute best glue, use it on just about everything.
It’s so good! It’s completely replaced Slate’s FG-Grey for me.
@@JustinTutor I've been using the waves g comp ssl for so long, maybe its time to try the townhouse hmmmmmm
@@omajor11 dude! You can catch it on sale every now and then on Plugin Alliance. I picked it up for $29. Patience my friend 😂
Thank you man, it was really useful for me
The parallel comp setting defaults to stereo 1 channel in GGD OKWs.
That's actually incredibly helpful to know haha! Thank you for that.
parallel comp + reverb
Epic playlist. Will you make one including some October ends songs? I'd say put in Dark, Of Stars and Play Time!!
Great video!
What is precisely the FX chain you used on guitar?

Can you tell me where I can buy drum samples from Brian Hood?

@@JustinTutorThank u so much 🤝
How do I contact you regarding wanting a mix?
Did you not put any eq on your main rhythm guitars?

Sick video dude
Thanks for checking it out!

Where to find those nice drum samples? I mean the ones which were used in the track?
UPD: Btw nice work on the track !

Could you do a tutorial on background effects like synths, impacts, and risers
Yeah man that may actually be a really cool video! Thanks for the idea!
@@JustinTutor I for some odd reason have trouble picking good background effects for my rock songs they always seem either too retro or washed out.
Nice
Thanks!
