Before commenting please take into consideration the following Bible verse. Proverbs 18:13 - If one gives an answer(a comment) before he hears(the video), it is his folly and shame. -- Often people will comment based upon the title itself without even hearing the message. Or they will comment after only hearing a brief amount of the sermon. Comments like this do not help create profitable discussion. Instead they cause confusion because the people commenting have not understood what the sermon itself is teaching. So please hear the full sermon before commenting. It is foolish and shameful to hastily comment.
I'll Be Honest , I thank you with all my heart for this message. It quickened my spirit and so many things have now become so clear to me. It's like I understand what Jesus requires of us. Once we believe and Jesus fills our hearts and the old man leaves and our new man comes we want to bear good fruit which is the evidence of our faith in him. I know we still SIN sometimes but we don't like it when we do. God Bless
In fact my heart always burn within me whenever I hear u preach...im always blessed...more grace servant of God to always minister as you ought in all utterance and boldness...deep love Pastor Tim
Interesting enough that even unbelievers sense the problem by saying "so you believe in Jesus and go do whatever". Believers are not saved by works but saved FOR good works. Your works (fruit) is the justification of your faith. Thank you, pastor Tim for bringing this topic!
There are so few today like Brother Tim who is willing to stand for truth. I know it's not a popular thing to do, but it is courageous and it is loving. As a fellow pastor, I feel a kinship with him. Many blessings, dear brother. Press on, the Reward will be worth it!
This is biblical truth...what we truly believe is projected in our works..our works project our faith. When in communion with Christ , the Holy Spirit moves us to do His works . If the Holy Spirit is not in us , then His works cannot be manifested in our lives. But the Holy Spirit,Who performs His works comes in us by grace , through honest faith in Jesus Christ.
akis frag amen faith without works is dead absolutely. 2nd chapter of James verse 19 and 20 especially verse 20 but do you want to know a foolish man that faith without works is dead. the Bible is very clear in the second chapter of James verse 17 thus also faith by itself if it does not have works is dead.
Amen and amen this message is very encouraging and uplifting..oh Father help and teach us to truly love You and serve You for who You realy are!give us a heart that is honest and loving like the heart of Your Son before You all the time because apart from Christ we can do nothing and may Your Holy Spirit take over in our lives!as we seek Your face in Christ name!amen!❤️may truly God bless your churches and your flocks Pastor Tim Conway💕greetings from Philippines🇵🇭
We need more brothers to speak such powerful Words today. People laugh and mock and think God is only love. Do NOT mock God please. His judgement is real and we will all stand before His throne no second chances then. Hallejujah. 🙇♀️🛐🙇♀️🛐
This sermon opened my eyes when I listened to it several weeks ago, and I'm afraid it's not in the way Mr. Conway intended. This sermon made me realize how the theology of lordship salvation is false. An anti-gospel. If our assurance of salvation or the proof of faith is found by examining our works, then we have no assurance at all. Every righteous deed of man is soiled with sin. If we cannot have full confidence that those sins have been paid for (past tense) then we can have no confidence that any righteous deed is seen as righteous at all by God. Without full, irrevocable assurance that you are washed of sin, you have no assurance that your fruit is indeed good (unless you claim to no longer have sin). This theology is built from the top down: reinterpreting the clear gospel passages by the controversial ones. Start with the gospel. You can lean into the promises of God. You can trust that by believing in Jesus your sins are forgiven, and you have eternal life. This is crystal clear, and all other writings in the new testament are based on (and should be interpreted in light of) this promise. Promises of God are not amended, they are not modified to add asterisks next to certain words, saying 'believing' doesn't really mean believing. If an interpretation of a passage in James makes you add an asterisk to a clear promise of God, I suggest that you've interpreted things from the wrong starting point. I am not writing this hastily, or without knowledge of Mr. Conway's perspective. I have listened to many dozens of sermons here and have been in the lordship camp for 5+ years, listening to Piper, Chan, and others with similar theology. While I've enjoyed the teaching in other areas, this is a deeply wrong understanding of the gospel. It is the same understanding that is shared by the Jehovah's Witnesses: that works are the evidence of faith, and as such you cannot know if your works are sufficient to prove your faith is true until the day you die. The difference is that Jehovah's Witnesses are more honest about this conclusion, where lordship salvation fights tooth and nail to say assurance is possible while at the same time you cannot know who it applies to because assurance is based on the fickle concept of a pattern of life. Reexamine these beliefs. Read the Free Grace interpretations of passages that may seem to contradict the gospel message. You may find (as I have after years of lordship salvation theology) that the Bible makes much more sense when you take the simple gospel message at face value. Thank you Jesus for forgiving my sin, for making a place for me in your family, and for giving me the opportunity for an inheritance everlasting through your sanctification in my life. I can't wait to see you face to face, my lord and my God.
“You can trust that by believing in Jesus your sins are forgiven, and you have eternal life. This is crystal clear, and all other writings in the new testament are based on (and should be interpreted in light of) this promise.” And indeed the Scriptures clearly teach that and we would agree, and so interpreting Matthew 24 (which Tim preached on in the sermon), it makes it evident that Jesus is talking about the difference between true and false conversion when he talks about the works. He is not talking about being justified legally by our works. Rather those works reveal if the faith is real (James 2) which Scripture constantly teaches (Matthew 7:20, Titus 1:6, 1 John 1:6, 1 Corinthians 6:9). Meaning there is a true and genuine faith and a non-genuine faith. Yet why does the true believer even do good works? God has prepared those works beforehand (Eph. 2:10) and causes the believer to walk in those works (Ezekiel 36:25-27, Romans 6:17), because they are a new creature with new desires. His commandments are no longer a burden (1 John 5:3). And yes we are able, “to have the full assurance of hope until the end” (Hebrews 6:11). The true believer can look at their life and they realize it is all of grace and they praise God! As Paul clearly states both realities in 1 Corinthians 15:10 - But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me. - Paul worked, but it was ultimately by the powerful grace of God working in Him.
@I'll Be Honest Thank you for a detailed reply. These past 8 months since I left this comment have been the most spiritually rich of my life, and having spent much of that time considering this issue I believe I can now give a better answer as to why this theology was a hindrance to how I related with God, and ironically also a hindrance to good works though I wanted them desperately. The trouble is that by striving to work to prove your faith you've got the cause and effect precisely backwards. Maybe this is not so in Mr Conway's own heart as a teacher, but certainly many who hear these teachings come away with "work harder to prove your faith". I argue that right teaching is: increase in faith and good works will joyfully come forth. If one is concerned that they lack good works they should not try to obtain them by grit of teeth, but rather should fall before God and seek for their faith to increase by the promises in his word. It's by the knowledge of him and his promises that we have all things that pertain to life and godliness. Those are the things that, by resting our faith in them, flow naturally into the virtues of 2 Peter 1:5-7, and if anyone fails to obtain them it is not because they did not make an effort, but because they were "nearsighted" (lacking faith) 2 Peter 1:9. In Titus 1:16 which you refer to, look at the passages surrounding. 1:15-16: To the pure, all things are pure, but to the defiled and *unbelieving* , nothing is pure; but both their minds and their consciences are defiled. They profess to know God, but deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, *unfit for any good work.* ^Notice that because of their unbelief in v15 not only do they deny God by their works, but they're unfit for good works even if they made an effort. Telling them to do good works to prove themselves misses the root issue. They don't need works (it would be folly for them to even try), they need faith that leads to works. The same goes for 1 Cor 6:9. The people in that passage are being greedy and unloving, but Paul goes on to remind them that they *were* cleansed, *were* sanctified, *were* justified (v11). All past tense, though presently they are not living in accordance to the reality of who they already are before God according to Paul. He calls them away from sin because they are saved, not because of fear that they may not be saved. Final verse for now: Matt 12:35 "The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil." If we trust in these words then we need not concern ourselves about contriving up good deeds to prove our faith (again, Mr. Conway may not believe this way but the emphasis of this teaching leads to that disposition), but rather, learn by faith to treasure the kingdom and Jesus himself as present and coming reality in our lives and out of that good treasure we WILL bring forth good. John 15 reiterates. He who abides in Christ bears much fruit. That's a promise that can be leaned into.
@@illbehonest Also I'd like you to know that I've been praying for your ministry and those that learn from you whenever I've remembered to these last months. Not in a condescending way that you conform to the same understanding I have reached, but that God would more completely reveal to all of us an understanding of truth in the ways we lack it. Especially I've prayed for unity of all true believers amidst conflicting doctrines, since without unity the truth that some of us have is fruitless to enrich the rest, and deceitful things are free to persist in the comfort of division.
@@lizamena9124 I'm glad it was helpful for you Liza. My favorite chapter in the Bible these last years is Romans 4, which is all about this subject. Galatians 3 and Hebrews 11 are also excellent. The thread of Abraham's story in these passages is rich for deep study. Not only how and in what order his faith was counted as righteousness, but also concerning the promises God made about Isaac and how faith in God to fulfill those promises is what gave Abraham confidence to risk everything. In those early pages of the Bible God already shows that he can be trusted to count us righteous as soon as we believe him, and also how that belief can give us confidence to do anything he asks of us.
what a sermon from God. Thank you Lord for that good and encouraging words. I hope that everyone will look for their deeds and their motives, I know Im. May God bless you all :)

We are not born into God's family by "Blood" (heritage, family ‘pedigree’), "Nor will of the flesh" (good works), "Nor will of man." (minister, or man made religion), "But of God." Rom. 8:7 - We can't follow God's law even if we wanted to. So how can we save ourselves? (#86, #8) 20. Matthew 7:21-23 - Christ describes a future scene in which some who are trusting in their "Many wonderful works," will, sadly, be told by Christ: "I never knew you: depart from me, Ye that work iniquity." Their good works will not save them. We all have to trust Christ, and Him ALONE. (#46, #12) 21. John 10:1 - We must enter through Christ, "THE DOOR," not by "Some other way.." (See #46) 22. John 8:24 - A person can work all they want, but it won't save them. Jesus said the bottom line is that, "If ye believe not that I am he [the only way], ye shall die in your sins." (See #53 and #69) 23. Rom. 4:2 - If Abraham could have saved himself, he'd have something to brag about. (See #25, #1) 24. Acts 10:1-43 - Cornelius' good works would put anyone today to shame, yet he still had to get saved by trusting solely in Christ to save him. (See #6, #12, #1, #88) 25. Rom. 3:27-28 - "Where is boasting then?...Of WORKS? nay." (See #1 and #23) 26. 1 John 5:13 - If your salvation depends on a lifetime of good works, then why does the Bible teach that you could "KNOW" for sure, before you die, that you are going to Heaven? The answer is because salvation doesn't depend on you, but on Christ, who ALREADY paid the price for your sins. (See #87) 27. Heb. 1:3 - "He had BY HIMSELF purged our sins." He doesn't need help from us! (See #15) 28. Heb. 2:3 - If we have to work at earning it, why does the Bible call it "So great salvation"? 29. Heb. 2:9-10 - Christ is "The CAPTAIN of their salvation." He tasted "Death for every man." 30. Heb. 2:14-15 - Christ is the one who will "DELIVER" us from death, not ourselves! (See #53) 31. Heb. 2:17 - Christ makes "RECONCILIATION for the sins." We can't reconcile ourselves. 32. Heb. 5:9 - Christ is "The AUTHOR of eternal salvation," not us! It's not in our hands.
Omc4251 your saved by faith but if that faith dosent come to you finding your calling and going in to works in that area you where never saved in the first place(but you say the theif on the cross i say he belived with true faith and would have followed jesus if he wasnt about to be killed) you can use all the scriptures you want but...THAT APPLYS TO PEOPLE WITH TRUE FAITH THAT LEADS TO REPENTANCE AND WORKS NOT YOUR VAIN BELEIF
When I met Jesus his love was awesome. I was set free to love. Before that though I was moved in faith to "work" because I wanted to get closer to God.....but it was grace through faith. It wasn't the works. It was the faith in God that he is and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. Though at the time I knew nothing at all except that I was neglecting my duties at home, easily angered and having lots of sinful fantasies. So I just decided to stop these sins. I couldnt keep it up long. I went three days and then I told the Lord I knew I couldn't keep it up so he needed to do some thing or I wouldn't be able to keep going. Thats when I met God for real. Even my seeking was a gift. But faith and works still go together or its not right relationship.
Can you imagine being a prisoner having been promised to be freed after 15 years, waiting for that day, only to find out that the freedom promised meant you still stay in prison ?! What kinda foolishness is that can you explain? When Jesus imparts righteousness it is not wickedness or neutralized condition. I dont understand people logic to justify their condemned condition instead of repeating and seeking true freedom Christ promised to fulfill.
Wow I can see why you didn't use to allow comments. I can never understand why people watch sermons that seem to make them so angry? There are plenty of other preachers out there who will tickle their ears. This is a topic I do not won't to get wrong. Better to be too narrow Tozer, use to say, than to get there and realise you weren't narrow enough. Bless you Tim and this ministry.
May the LORD God forgive our sin. Believer or none believer in Christ Jesus. The reality is if your name are not found in the book of life, very sure your soul going to cast into the lake of 🔥 🔥 🔥 . This is the real judgement in the book of revelation 20:15
@@illbehonest HI, what are your views on Peter Ruckman, should we even give him the time of day given his reportedly racist views, his 3 wives etc and what are we to make of pastors who champion him like Robert Breaker, Gene Kim, Geoffrey Grider, I got a Ruckman study bible not too long ago which I have decided not to use anymore as alarm bells have been ringing for some time about him and I found his description of a black pastor in his commentary in the study bible rather condescending and his description of people like Princess Diana as “whores” totally unnecessary in a bible commentary
@@getplanted5730 I read the message and watched the video but he continued on and on about being able to tell who is a Christian by their fruits. Our main fruit is FAITH in His son, love for the Lord and all others. Our works will not get us into heaven and yes, we will be judged for rewards but not punishment. He makes people feel like even if they're saved, they will be standing in front of the whole world while God goes every little thing that we've ever done in private or public. When we are saved, our sins are forgiven past, present and future. All of our righteousness is like dirty rags. I believe that the works God is speaking of is the strength of our trust and faith in His son. A lot of times people can't see FAITH in everyone's hearts. Peace and we can have disagreements but let's not get our disagreements get in the way of love
Yeah justification is free and thats to the people who have faith but if that faith dosent come to works eventually and you finding your calling or gifts you most likley have vain belief
If someone is saved there will be evidence of it. The person will produce good fruit and grow in holiness. Tim doesn't preach works salvation or sinless perfection. If your saved you will see a change in your life.

I quote tim " the standard for justification will be one of works" we know justification is salvation, so anyone wondering if tim is teaching works for salvation, I would say he couldn't make it any clearer that he believes he is working his way to heaven.
At 29:12 Tim says, "I'm using biblical terms here. The standard for justification or condemnation in that day will be one of works. Matthew 12 is crystal clear on this." And he is dealing with Matthew 12:37 which states that, "for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned." Just read that verse, what does it say? But as Tim makes clear in the sermon this is not about legally being right before God's courtroom...this is about works vindicating and proving one's faith was real. That is how Christ talks--on that day our works will make it clear our faith was real--those works do not justify in the sense of saving us (Romans 4:5, Titus 3:5) but they prove our faith was real (James 2). I have no idea why people have a problem with this--it is simply teaching what the Bible teaches.
@@illbehonest what is your explanation for tim saying he using biblical terms when the verse you say is crystal clear that says for by your words you will be justified and by your words you will be condemned. And tim says about this verse that the " standard for justification is one of works"
Indeed in Romans 4, when we speak about justification it is talking about how can be legally right with God--by faith in Christ. What Tim is dealing with in this sermon are the works that come from our by and thus prove our faith was real (see James 2). There is a big distinction between the two and we must not mix them up incorrectly.
@@illbehonest yes, but of course the problem is that tim says without these works on evidences somone is not saved. So then to go back and say we are not justified before God by our works makes no sense because God is the judge of who is saved, man is not the judge.
Either he is a manipulator or just, in the best case, talking to culture christians but not real believers. Anyway he uses pretty much manipulating tools, eg. here, in just ONE minute (56) "THE REALITY IS...... THE REALITY IS... THIS, LOOK...: If you come to judgement day and your actions are NO BETTER than those of the LOST, you can profess WHATEVER you want about your FAITH, but YOUR DECEIVED. It's gonna be discovered on that last great day. Your DEEDS, your DEEDS, your DEEDS, not merely the profession, but your DEEDS, not the mere talk, its DEEDS shall be the evidence of grace. If your actions NO BETTER than those of the LOST, if they are NOT DIFFERENT, if you are NO DIFFERENT, than the LOST on judgement day, listen, you are NO DIFFERENT than the LOST." (what means you, a believer by faith, will be condemned) reality 2, no better 2, lost 4, no better 2, no different 3, deeds 5 ! This is never what was meant in the Bible talking about deeds of believers. There's something mixed up in this sermon. General advice: Never pick single verses out of the Bible and then misuse it for false doctrine. Flee bretheren. Read the Bible yourself, you and God. Noone will ever manipulate you and you will be, by grace, be able to distinguish right and wrong. DO NOT PUT YOUR TRUST IN MAN. God bless.
It seems a bit far fetched for you to announce that manipulation is being used. For someone whom points out not to take things out of context, you are leaving out context from the rest of the video. To take the point further, you do not even know whom he is addressing.... Everything is examined before the Lord, anyone can say I am a Christian, but are they? Anyone can do "good" works but they come from the wrong heart, and often wrong motives. Thank God that Christ is willing to set us straight, with the Himself, with God. And just to add, even the 5 virgins that once had oil of the Lord in their lamps, whom allowed it to run out because they did not keep themselves prepared before meeting Him, the Lord calls them foolish and that He never knew them. Why? Because one can begin to follow the Lord but if they discontinue, then all that they did is as if they never did them. (Old Testament explains the meaning of Jesus' comment). I am not trying to pick on you sir/madam, but we have to be careful when we make such statements as a matter of fact when what you say , such as the person being a manipulator, which is so easy to say, such statements we will be held accountable for, and if you are false in any statement such as that, then you have slandered a preacher of God, and David would not touch The Lord's anointed, Saul, and we too must be careful in the leaders that are before us. R
@@zhrob1 I fully understand what you are trying to say. Maybe you are right and I better should use the term "propaganda techniques". Sorry, that I've just picked out one single minute, minute 56. There would have been enough to say about the other minutes but I have a life to live too ;) Would you have read a comment 56 times as long as the one I wrote? Guess not.
I'll say I'm partially convinced. I think this could well be true, but if we accept this doctrine, we really need to stop telling people they are "saved through faith alone and not of works". Let's be honest, this is at least 50% works. If we are in a repentant heart, and asking forgiveness each day, yet these sins are NOT separated from us as far as the east is from the west, but recorded, and put on a scale to be weighed again, then we really aren't forgiven are we? How can we really ever expect to be good enough? How many curse words are too many? How many lustful moments? How many fits of anger? How many unrecognized incidents of pride or idolatry? How much should I give to the poor? Everything? Where does it stop if Christ is the standard? I have always believed we are saved for good works, not by good works, I am not an easy believism do whatever you want person, but this is extreme. This puts the bar above having a repentant heart. As described in this video, I can't say we are saved by Grace through faith with a straight face anymore. This is works salvation surely as the Mormons or the Catholics. To deny that is playing semantics and word games.
Great comment aj if somone listen to this sermon and conclude that tim doesn't believe he think he is working his way to heaven just isn't in reality. When I hear this I actually think he denying Christ's finished work. I know he gives lip service to imputed rightiosness, but by most of the sermon tells me he really doesn't believe the actual gospel.
You mean works will simply come if your changed. This is the Evidence. However adding the works in when you see evidence lacking for the case of you having been saved, is similar to adding evidence to a crime scene. Instead go to the Lord and cry out under such conviction, you should start doing some thing. Humble yourself. Prayer and since you care greatly Fast. Wait for the Lord but don't doubt when you hear him. Do it. Jesus loves you.
Well, the short answer is: because the Bible teaches this. Tim is seeking to explain certain verses that people tend to pass over. So as you hear the sermon just ask yourself this question: Is this in the text of Scripture or not?
Believers will be judged at the judgment seat of Christ's. This is to take different levels in heaven or rewards etc. Conway is very confusing and conflates many things because he think believers be judged by thier works to see if they even make it to heaven. He will give lip service to forgiveness of sins for believers but obviously doesn't believe it if you listen to his sermons. By his fruit, or his false teaching I can see he a bad tree.
It's just baffling to me the lack of attention given to issues of social justice, racism and underprivileged populations in all the messages I listen to from this church and aligning preachers. So much talk of sin, and wrath, and condemnation, and inferences and conclusions about other people's hearts. It's not helping; it's damaging. I think a lot of Christians are really missing the mark, and missing opportunities. It feels like sin, itself, has become an idol and quite frankly, as a Christian myself, I am appalled.
Christians are not judged on Judgement Day -The great White Judgement.. This teaching by Tim Conway is way off reality. We will be found 'not guilty" of everything if we are in Christ. We will not be judged for any of our sins commited before or after our faith in Jesus Christ. In 2 Corinthians 2:10 :the judgment seat of Christ" metaphorically refers to the place where the Lord will sit to evaluate believers' lives for the purpose of giving them eternal rewards. This judgement that we go thru refers to what we do in our earthly ministry after we become believers. This judgment does not include sins since their judgement took place at the cross. Paul was referring to all those activities believers do during their lifetime that relate to their eternal reward and prsaise from God. I felt a lot of fear being pushed on me from this teaching, I refuse to be afraid of judgement day. The mistakes I make now since I am In Christ are accounted for. We need to repent as our sanctification progresses. This teaching on judgement and works is in error. There are a few different judgements that God will do. The thing about it is that the unsaved will be accountable for all their bad works but we will be rewarded for our good works. Please my Christian brothers and sisters be not afraid to see the Lord.Tim is right that we need t bear good fruit but we will not be condemned for our faults.
Amen sister! Thank you for posting this. I also noticed atleast four times how he does the 'devil hand sign' unconsciously when saying things like you must do works. You can also see it in his eyes how he is deceived.
Lisa Benowitz did you watch the whole video? Because he explains everything you mention from specific texts in the Bible. He never said the Christians should be fearful of judgment, he was referring to unbelievers in those instances. The point he was making was that judgment is no small thing and that it is very serious even for believers.

Yes. It has. Acts 2:15-16 King James Version (KJV) "15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. 16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;" Apostle Peter said this on the day of pentecost, Kam. That is Bible.
@@Trunk874 he said Joel 3, not Joel 2. Besides that, I think Joel 2 has been fulfilled in part, not in whole. It is pretty difficult to say that the whole of what was referenced in Acts 2 has already been fulfilled. Those verses will be fulfilled in the end times, which we have been in for the last ~2000 years.
He teaching on mathew 12 and making big mistake. The " fruit" in mathew 12 is clearly what somone believes concerning the gospel and therefore what they declare about it with thier mouth. It is not talking about actions or works. A cross reference would be in mathew 7 and the lord lord poeple. We see they were condemned by there bad fruit wich was their words wich showed what they believed in thier heart. What true Christian, when standing before God on judgment day, waiting to be either justified or condemned, would start talking of their own works?
You will be judged by God's law found in exodus ch. 20. Well those without Christ will be condemned by it because they weren't justified & therefore trampled on his Holy righteous just law.
Right!! Pastor
You are correct Tim.
I agree. The wise are slow to speak
God Bless
God bless you Pastor Tim Conway!!! I really like and enjoy your preaching!!! 😊
Your sermons strengthen the people of GOD
judgement scares everybody bt its really encouraging for believers thankks Pst Tim....God bless u
Is their a percentage of our r good works compared to our bad. If you could share that would be very helpful for people know if they saved or not.
Truly a man of God, Thank You brother Tim
This is a great sermon! Healthy conviction!

They are detestable, disobedient, *unfit for any good work.*
^Notice that because of their unbelief in v15 not only do they deny God by their works, but they're unfit for good works even if they made an effort.
Final verse for now: Matt 12:35 "The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil."
If we trust in these words then we need not concern ourselves about contriving up good deeds to prove our faith (again, Mr.
@@Nighthawkinlight thank you so so so much for these comments, I was already dealing with fear and a bit of anxiety, thank you for explaining this...

2. Rom. 4:6-7 - God imputes "Righteousness without works." (See #9, #4, #45, #7, #12, #53)
3. Rom. 10:3 - It's a grave mistake for anyone to try to, "Establish their own righteousness."
4. Rom. 5:17 - Heaven deserving righteousness is a "GIFT," not something you earn.
5. Rom. 5:18 - Justification to God is a "FREE GIFT," not something you work toward.
6. Phil. 3:9 - Paul, as ‘good’ as he was, still wouldn't trust his "Own righteousness" to save him.
7. Rom. 3:22 - God's righteousness is credited to "ALL THEM THAT BELIEVE," not all that work.
8. Rom. 8:3-4 - The flesh is too "Weak" to save itself. We need a Saviour. We need Christ. (See #86)
9. Rom. 4:3 - Abraham's faith, not works, "Was counted unto him for righteousness."
10. Rom. 4:4-5 - Works are "Not reckoned of grace, but of debt." Faith is counted as righteousness.
11. Gal. 3:10 - To earn Heaven you'd have to "Continueth," perfectly, in the whole law. (See #81, #86)
12. Titus 3:5 - "NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS which we have done, but according to
his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost."

15. Acts 4:12 - No other name but Christ can save us-- not the name of works, nor our own name.
16. John 1:12-13 - Only God's power, through His Son, makes us a child of God. We are not born into
God's family by "Blood" (heritage, family ‘pedigree’), "Nor will of the flesh" (good works), "Nor will
of man." (minister, or man made religion), "But of God." (See #12, #53, #21, #17, #22, #46, #15)
17. Isa. 45:22 - No one else can save a soul from Hell but God; "There is none else."

COULD NOT BE JUSTIFIED by the law of Moses." (See #33, #54, #53, #5, #42, #64, #82, #87, #80)
19. Rom. 8:7 - We can't follow God's law even if we wanted to. So how can we save ourselves? (#86, #8)
20. Matthew 7:21-23 - Christ describes a future scene in which some who are trusting in their "Many
wonderful works," will, sadly, be told by Christ: "I never knew you: depart from me, Ye that work
iniquity." Their good works will not save them. We all have to trust Christ, and Him ALONE. (#46, #12)
21. John 10:1 - We must enter through Christ, "THE DOOR," not by "Some other way.." (See #46)
22. John 8:24 - A person can work all they want, but it won't save them. Jesus said the bottom line is
that, "If ye believe not that I am he [the only way], ye shall die in your sins." (See #53 and #69)
23. Rom. 4:2 - If Abraham could have saved himself, he'd have something to brag about. (See #25, #1)
24. Acts 10:1-43 - Cornelius' good works would put anyone today to shame, yet he still had to get saved
by trusting solely in Christ to save him. (See #6, #12, #1, #88)
25. Rom. 3:27-28 - "Where is boasting then?...Of WORKS? nay." (See #1 and #23)
26. 1 John 5:13 - If your salvation depends on a lifetime of good works, then why does the Bible teach
that you could "KNOW" for sure, before you die, that you are going to Heaven? The answer is because
salvation doesn't depend on you, but on Christ, who ALREADY paid the price for your sins. (See #87)
27. Heb. 1:3 - "He had BY HIMSELF purged our sins." He doesn't need help from us! (See #15)

29. Heb. 2:9-10 - Christ is "The CAPTAIN of their salvation." He tasted "Death for every man."
30. Heb. 2:14-15 - Christ is the one who will "DELIVER" us from death, not ourselves! (See #53)
31. Heb. 2:17 - Christ makes "RECONCILIATION for the sins." We can't reconcile ourselves.

Saved by faith/judged by works.
It's not our love for christ that saves us, it's his love for us.
Rom. 5:18 - Justification to God is a "FREE GIFT," not something you work toward.

@@illbehonest no idea why? The passage clearly says by " words" tim said by " works"
@@illbehonest what is your explanation for tim saying he using biblical terms when the verse you say is crystal clear that says for by your words you will be justified and by your words you will be condemned. And tim says about this verse that the " standard for justification is one of works"
For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath werof unto glory but " not before God"
Anyway he uses pretty much manipulating tools, eg. here, in just ONE minute (56)
"THE REALITY IS...... THE REALITY IS... THIS, LOOK...:
If you come to judgement day and your actions are NO BETTER than those of the LOST, you can profess WHATEVER you want about your FAITH, but YOUR DECEIVED. It's gonna be discovered on that last great day. Your DEEDS, your DEEDS, your DEEDS, not merely the profession, but your DEEDS, not the mere talk, its DEEDS shall be the evidence of grace. If your actions NO BETTER than those of the LOST, if they are NOT DIFFERENT, if you are NO DIFFERENT, than the LOST on judgement day, listen, you are NO DIFFERENT than the LOST."
(what means you, a believer by faith, will be condemned)
reality 2, no better 2, lost 4, no better 2, no different 3, deeds 5 !
This is never what was meant in the Bible talking about deeds of believers. There's something mixed up in this sermon.
General advice:
Never pick single verses out of the Bible and then misuse it for false doctrine.
Please Tim Conway write me at lemadia@yahoo.com. I would ask you about some other personal things. Help me please.
Why is he saying Christian will be judged
Being a Christian or an atheist is not a Life Insurance Policy :) Spiritual judgment is beyond religion.
Emil Johansson if your watching for hand signs and not listening to what he is preaching then your focusing on the wrong thing. Please listen to content of his messages, they are not from someone who is deceived. Find his testimony on UA-cam and see how God saved him. That transformation of life and leading into the ministry and the fruit that it bears IS good fruit.
Lisa benowitz you need to repent and be led by the spirit to find your calling and do work in that calling your comment is proved wrong by the video and your liying to give yourself a false satisfaction when biblically your wrong
wrong about what exactly?
ENTAO!!!! tà todo mundo ferrado😨
Tim Conway Joel 3 has NOT BEEN FULFILLED.
Yes. It has.
Acts 2:15-16 King James Version (KJV)
"15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;"
Apostle Peter said this on the day of pentecost, Kam.
Something in this sermon is not coherent. Be vigilant, bretheren.
