    Thank you for such a important message. Unfortunately the biggest obstacle is the struggle with worst day cycle and that's where we are loosing most of the energy for chance and space to heal. Part of my story too. "Thanks" to my burnout during toxic relationship I had to stop and start to break the cycle, start the healing, learning about that, study the psychology of that atc. Love that at the end. 😀 So empowering. ❤️🙂
    Thank you very much. 🙏🙂

    Yes, fear sends the blood to our legs, to run and away from our brain, makes sense. And anger sends the blood to our hands, makes sense.

    Will Smith said at the Oscar's "my parents were invited they chose not o come my mom has her knitting group or something like that, " not verbatem but close what he shared. My heart sunk realizing little did he know the motivator to that behavior.

      I know can you believe that his mother would rather net then share in this moment with her son and now you know why he picked a woman who wants an open marriage. His mother does not want to take responsibility for being a mother either. That is the worst day cycle

    I thought my elderly dad was on his death bed, so I flew to Arizona to visit him in the hospital; the moment I stepped in the room his first words to me were, "you need to get that weight off." Years later, I can still hardly breath when I think of that moment.

      Hope that is just awful. You did not deserve that. That's a reflection of him, and not on you. My trauma was I woke up at age eleven and my dad was gone, totally gone. No goodbye. I hate him for that. Just went no contact again. He's in his eighties and I will not go to his funeral. I've had enough. Take care of you dear one

      Great question. We focus on the only thing we can control. Ourselves and our recovery.

    To Foster a child you have to have 16 weeks of parenting classes, even that doesn't touch on all this. Keep telling it Kenny.

    I wonder if there's a way for you to make your videos louder. I've got both UA-cam & my computer turned up all the way & it still isn't loud enough - especially if there's any outside noise at all.

    I don't have a problem standing up for myself the problem is people can't handle it and I lose friends.

    • @kennyweiss
      @kennyweiss  2 роки тому

      I don’t have enough information? It could be your approach? Sometimes we think we’re standing up for ourselves when in fact we are crushing other peoples boundaries…??
      But in general you are correct. Because we are all caught in the worst day cycle we get caught in shame when people do stand up to us and then we drop in to denial and we push the other person away instead of facing and addressing our perfect imperfections. It’s much easier to play the victim and blame someone like yourself instead of taking ownership and doing the work.
      Our society promotes the victim power position and that’s what I’m trying to help people over come

    • @kennyweiss

      All of the videos in the five part series can be found by going to my worst day cycle playlist. In the thumbnail they are numbered one through five but if for some reason you can’t see the numbering, look at the video description. I have also labeled them one through five.

    Yea, Maybe we'd be less overpopulated, and populated by fucked up people like my parents, and hence me, if people would understand just what a HUGE RESPONSIBILITY it IS to give birth to another human being and they'd decide not to do it.
    Why do we NOT hold people Responsible for the damage they (we) do to others who we (they) Contract with the Universe to create, provide for and then renig on by default?
    The Damage parents are allowed to perpetrate on their progeny is FAR Worse than the Damage inflicted by violent rape by a stranger and yet, the random rapist will pay with his life, not being granted a pass because he's Just Imperfectly Perfect and the parents get to blame, the child, discredit the child, and Discard and move on Scott Free, leaving another human being broken and dismayed in their wake? I know. I've experienced both.
    I'm coming to the conclusion that Trauma is a Promise's Fulfillment Withold for no Understandable Reason.
    So the rapist is, without question, damned and not understood to be perfectly imperfect, but we allow parents to be Perfectly Imperfect and their crimes against nature dismissed with a rueful chuckle.
    Riddle me THAT!!

    • @kennyweiss
      @kennyweiss  2 роки тому +1

      Well I’m not condoning mistreatment of any kind but the thing that people forget is the molester and the rapist are almost always a byproduct of a dysfunctional childhood.
      They’re only doing what they were taught directly or indirectly.
      If it was directly, it means it was done to them. If it was indirectly that means they suffered so much pain this is their way of expressing that pain.
      Nobody wants to talk about that truth
