fun fact: martisco is technically in marcellus, hence the name "martisco". in fact, there was an old railroad that was called martisco! i took a trip down there once to visit a few people, and found that station. ton of cool stuff inside.
Nicely done :) Hoping you get a chance to do one for the NYS&W :) Just as unique & interesting the NYS&W plies the ex Lackawanna Line from Solvay down to Binghamton & Eris line east eventually to New Jersey. Mountains, Rivers, back country track is their unique feature along with all EMD power )
Hey, at 0:13, that is true but they also run Mondays and thursdays in maine on "midcoast railservice" they run at 9:00 am and 4:30 pm. the locomotives are 2308 and 2310, both B23-7's and they haul cement loads
There used to be two tracks crossing Bridge St. They ripped out as part of the State Fair-Bridge Street reconstruction project. It was mostly for politics.
Really enjoyed this video, and looking forward to progress on your layout. I model the FGLK HW2 line from the Himrod NY yard to the salt companies in Watkins Glen, in HO. Check it out when you get a chance. Take care - Bill.
I still think that a one man crew, or, the conductor chasing the train in a vehicle, is absolutely stupid!! Yes, I'm old school and we ran with a 2 man crew always. Oh well...rant over.
Their equipment is absolutely immaculate for winter time!
My favorite short line. Always stop there on my way to Watkins Glen. Racing and railfanning, it just doesn't get any better.
I sure hope the Finger Lakes Railway expands, gets a whole lot more business and prospers!!

The NYC livery never looked so good! Nice video.
Very cool documentation our friend! (Dave).

If you want a really cool shot, check out from under the viaduct over Rt 174 just south of Cammilus!
The switchers are in Geneva yard now
Another awesome video , well done !!

I think that the NYC lightning stripe paint job comes from the early 1950s. Then they got cheap and painted the engines all black.
Fortunately the Finger Lakes is classy and paints most of their units in that scheme!

Do you have to fill anything out to film in the yard in Geneva? Or do you just go in?

Cool
we call it the new york central reborn
Actually it's Central New York and Finger Lakes Region....Western New York starts in Rochester to Buffalo.
Geneva is kinda considered considered western
@@jontaylor6068 Geneva is the dividing line between one says "Soda" or "Pop"!!! 😁
Fyi, It's Sol-vay not Sole-vay😅

To bad about the spray painted rail cars.
