Coming here after Drishyam 2, I’m just super happy for Ajay. He’s aged like fine wine, he’s a super promising director with all his ventures, and he’s just a simple man who loves moviemaking. He can do something completely silly like Golmaal or Action Jackson, but at the same time can pull of a Rudra, Singham, or Omkaara, Tanhaji, Runway 34, or Drishyam. He’s just so fantastic. He and Akshay have become superstars without huge production houses and are one men industries on their own. Regardless of recent script choices by both like Thank God or Prithviraj, they really are prime examples that slow and steady wins the race.
Nicely done. Indian film industry needs more such sane voices as Anupama Chopra. What an intelligent lady and how polished she is. No makhan malai questions. All substance. Very very good

I’m intrigued by him and how he’s managed to sustain such a consistent career. He’s not conventionally attractive, in an industry that is obsessed with fairer skin, chiselled six packs and youth. He definitely seems to have found his own niche like Akshay & John, some may say playing it safe but it seems to be working him. I wanna see him break down his top 5 performances with Anupama one day.

@@thedon2005 he never seen a failure like 5-8 yr without a single hit like Khan doing this time. He was always consistent with superstardom in 90's & 2010's only decade where he was avg 2000's. His acting skill is one of all time best in indian cinema as well.
@@pawannikumbh4496 Bro in 2000s he gave stellar performances like gangaajal,the legend of Bhagat Singh, Company,Khakee, Golmaal, Raincoat,Dewangee and many more. How was he average in 2000s? He was quite consistent and most underrated actor throughout his career.
@@Shivam-rc6fx Every superstar has one weak decade same way 2000's was weak decade for Ajay & Salman both. Ajay has given best performance in that decade but box office was avg. Even Akshay & Aamir had 90's as avg in BO as well.
I have loved Hindi films for quite some time. Always in subtitles…I can’t even tell how much I love and enjoy all your interviews. Thank you for all of us who do love Hindi movies and don’t speak Hindi and want to know about the actors…..sometimes I check out sites that I think they may speak English but I’ve never found one like yours…….I can’t thank you enough!

its fantastic that he did both gangubai and RRR. Both are crucial roles. Gangubai has more screenspace, fantastic role and important same goes with RRR he owned it and made it soo believable that enhances Ram Charan character.

The most important element in his personality is : keeping his feet, firmly on ground and never show off or aquire somebody else's traits about life. That has kept him ever learning and be relevant, away from being arrogant.
Ajay Devgn Sir... A Great Action Hero... A Great Actor... A True Superstar... A Legend.... He is a man of few words and doesn't speak much...but when he wants to speak he speaks so well and when he speaks he speaks so frankly, honestly and is to the point like he did here. From the time he started out in the 90s, he has been a rule breaker...he has been rule maker. They said that in film industry, you need to have conventional good looks to be an actor/ hero...he broke that rule with his unconventional looks and became a Star with his debut movie Phool Aur Kaante. It was said you need to be fair complexioned to be a hero...he broke that rule with his dusky complexion. It was said that a hero has to be a good dancer but he broke that rule being someone who didn't dance well. It was said you need to do romantic movies to be a star but he broke that rule doing mostly action movies and intense dramas. It was said you need to do films for big production houses to be a star but he broke that rule by not doing films with big production houses like YRF and Dharma. He broke nearly all the rules of the film industry and yet went on to become a successful actor and Superstar. One thing which was the determining factor for his sustained success in his 3 decade old career has been his passion and hardwork towards his work. As an actor, the best thing about him and his performances is the fact that he becomes the character on screen and brings them out in a manner that makes you believe that the character is from real life...a flesh and blood character. He brings in a sense of reality in his roles even in the most mainstream masala movies too. As an actor he has proved himself in movies of all genres...action, comedy, romance, drama, horror etc. He has done the biggest commercial mainstream films and has done art films too and excelled in both. Yes he was unconventional looking as an actor but it didn't stop him from being successful as he has always had a wonderful intense yet cool and a normal yet larger than life personality- and he has a personality which many conventionally good looking actors don't have. Bollywood has seen several unconventional looking actors becoming successful stars- Mithun Chakraborty ji, Shatrughan Sinha ji, Shahrukh Khan ( yes he was also unconventional looking and dusky when he started out and was not as good looking as the other 2 Khans- Aamir and Salman, but became a star with his talent, hardwork and screen presence), Sunil Shetty. Even the legends Dilip Kumar Saahab and Amitabh Bachchan ji were unconventional looking when they entered Bollywood. Even today there are actors like Raj Kumar Rao and Vicky Kaushal in the young generation who are unconventional looking and yet successful. Ajay Devgn Sir is simply Awesome as an actor and Superstar. He is the Lion King of Bollywood. I would love to see him in roles of warriors/ kings from Indian History and also some mature intense romantic movies and explore himself more as an actor and Superstar in the near future. I wish him All The Best 👍 for his upcoming directorial venture Runway 34 ! One last thing, he might have been an unconventional looking guy when he started out in the 90s, but now in his 50s, he looks really Cool, Stylish, Dashing, Dynamic and Handsome with moustache and also the bearded look... I watched this whole Interview around at midnight 3:00 am & finished at 4:39 . The interview was very good I learnt lot of things as Creator Specially how to be with yourself in life in which ever situation it may be

I think why he has remained relevant in the last 30 odd years is because he started as a star kid in 90s when skin colour was not a very big factor with Mithun, Sunil Shetty, Nana Patekar all having been there. He had his fair share of typical 90s hits but the revival happened in late 90s and early 2000s. With movies like Company, The Legend Of Bhagat Singh, Zakhm, Dewangee, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Yuva, Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha, Raincoat, Khakhee, Gangajal, Apharan, Kachche Dhaage etc. These movies proved that he is a very good actor.
Then again came the consistent phase where he delivered a lot of hits like Rajneeti, Masti, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai, Golmaal, Omkara, Singham, All The Best etc. Post Singham, he has now entered the superstar phase wherein he has managed to deliver 100 Crs+ hits consistently. But since he made those good acting choices in late 90s and early 2000s, he is one of the few actor superstars who can even do great cameos and supporting roles. Plus seems like a super chilled out guy
Anupama Ji you really bring the best out of these actors in your interviews. I mean in movies they act and as an audience we jude by what we see even if it's fiction. But interviews shows the real of them and so pleasant to watch

In one interview Ajay said that his director allowed him to use his own process to slip into character. Ajay’s process was really low key which reminded me of something Richard Burton said about Elizabeth Taylor. Burton said that Elizabeth did not have an obvious process for getting into character; she just morphed into the character she was playing. Another actor who has his own way of getting into character is Russell Crow.♥️✨💫
