Those big trucks shouldn't be in express lanes. They should be in the normal lanes and driving with reduced speed simply because of the weight they carry.
Most tractor trailer accidents are caused by people in regular vehicles. They cut big rigs off tailgate and in general they treat them like any other vehicle. I see this every single day on the interstate. Honestly trucks should be mandatory left lane driving unless exiting. By keeping them in slow lane it cause accidents from dumbasees cutting them off to hit an exit 3 seconds faster. I realize that's not what caused this accident. Let it teach you a car is not a toy. You’re need to get to your destination fast is not more important than the lives around you. Don’t drive late at night. And always check the weather report for roads.
Hey! There are numerous factors caused this. Driving with caution will help. This is a very unfortunate event yet it doesn’t happen every days however, able to drive will prob provide your convenience a lot. Don’t be discourage. Instead, be cautious !
This is exactly why I really think trucks should have their own road/route created for them . Even tho it’s no one’s fault but due to bad weather , I think some people could’ve survive this crash if it weren’t for those trucks plowing & trampling over these smaller cars . My condolences to the family. So heartbreaking
The interstate IS the trucks own route, it was made for them. Non truck driver are the ones making the choice to take the risk when they choose to use them
That's what the interstates were originally built for: big trucks to transport goods and military equipment across the country efficiently. It is the smaller vehicles that don't belong on them.
So, forgive my ignorance, I'm just hearing of this & don't know details really...but I've seen a couple of comments mentioning weather? Did this all happen due to black ice on the roads or something??? HOW DID THIS ACTUALLY HAPPEN? *SO SAD.*
It’s no one’s fault. Who cares “which car started this.” The weather was terrible. No one knew something like this would happened. The only thing we do now is prevent this from happening again by paying closer attention when we drive. Texans drive fast. So next time, don’t. Especially in terrible weather. you never know when’s your last day.
@@jessicagreen5871 obviously. But we do have the highest speed limit in the country. Therefore gives us the mindset that it’s okay to drive fast. And we aren’t a state to worry about extreme weather because we rarely ever endure it compared to other states. The weather was bad last night. If you live in the city, you’ll see how extreme it gets when it comes to driving on our highways.
@@itsnitzia true, but what I mean by “Texans drive fast” is because we have the highest speed limit. The fact that children were probably in some of those cars too breaks my heart.

Thankfully there was a report that said there were no children in the vehicles due to the fact that it happened so early 🖤
News report no children!
This happened at 6am, the children were still in bed
And almost everybody had online school yesterday
Moral of the story: Avoid driving on ice as much as possible. Even 0.25" of ice can lead to deadly pileups like this.

This is exactly why I really think trucks should have their own road/route created for them . My condolences to the family. So heartbreaking
Yess I agree.
that’s actually a smart idea
The interstate IS the trucks own route, it was made for them. Non truck driver are the ones making the choice to take the risk when they choose to use them
That's what the interstates were originally built for: big trucks to transport goods and military equipment across the country efficiently. It is the smaller vehicles that don't belong on them.

It's supposed to get even colder and icier here in Texas, let's hope people stay off the roads or take extreme caution if they are

It’s no one’s fault. Who cares “which car started this.” The weather was terrible. No one knew something like this would happened. The only thing we do now is prevent this from happening again by paying closer attention when we drive. Texans drive fast. So next time, don’t. Especially in terrible weather.

Texans are not the only ones who drive fast.
People in big cities drive fast. Only thing I disagree with
@@jessicagreen5871 obviously. But we do have the highest speed limit in the country. Therefore gives us the mindset that it’s okay to drive fast. If you live in the city, you’ll see how extreme it gets when it comes to driving on our highways.
