I love my apx a1 carry for my edc. As a woman and someone with a smaller build the width is perfect for appendix carry and im not concerned with capacity. I wear the reckoning system holster that comes with a spare mag holder. 2 8 rnd mags + 1 chambered. Thats 17 shots. I had the ability to compare this to the taurus g2c for it was in the same price range. IMO the apx a1 carry won hands down for comfortability, recoil control, acuracy(for me anyways🤷♀️), and concealment. What scared me initially about this gun was so many reviewers stating the trigger was horrendous. To be completely honest i love the trigger. Its heavy and long. Which is perfect for a firearm without a manual safety, which is one of the biggest selling points for me as an edc.
I have both, I like the feel of the Beretta better...but the Taurus 709 shoots better and the trigger is much better..double action and quicker to shoot AND more accurate too.

I owned a 709 years ago and never had any issues with it…better than most older imported Taurus models.
Do you mainly carry the 6 or 8 rd APX magazine? Any issues with either magazine?
I normally carry the 8 round mag I havent had any issues with either
