I agree that the ridiculous laws preventing non-cash payments sb ended. However it looks to me as if these thieves are quite happy carting off product. I think ultimately store will have to be hardened to the degree that they resemble pillboxes.
There wasn't this problem before cannabis went I-501 full recreational.
I worked at a dispensary until it was closed in 2016 to make way for all the 21+ recreational shops to open for the government's tax graft.
It was the best job I ever had.
Wish I could have that nostalgia of a job in that field of expertise 😌😏
@@pharoahzeus The irony of the dispensary was it was formerly a sheriff substation, making it the cop shop pot shop. One customer had a flashback and told me the layout, where the mugshots were taken and so forth.
I worked at a rec place. Great job. Nothing too heavy to lift. A box full is still just ounces
They should receive the same protection that any other cash based or any business for that matter receives. When you start a business you are aware of the risks you take on. I don't like seeing them get robbed but they know they are a target. Get better security is what other businesses are being told.
ALL brick-and-mortar businesses should have laws against robbers. What about the restaurants and other businesses that are having stolen cars crash into them again and again?

Law makers were all over it when they heard there'd be a ton of revenue from the taxation of weed but if resolving worker's safety issues isn't profitable, they've got better things to do...for some reason.
Because they are still getting paid taxes every month, even though these businesses are being robbed blind, a true shame taxation without representation or protection in Arizona, robbing, a dispensary or a cannabis facility is no different than robbing a bank you’re gonna meet the full force of the law

Placing guards outside the building places the guards at high risk and greatly limits their ability to protect the buildings and themselves. Place guards inside these buildings improves security and puts the guards at the advantage. They’re not observable nor be approachable unless a person begins breaking into the facility. One clear intent is made the response level to choose from is far greater.
You want a secure building contact me. I haven’t touched the stuff in years and no desire to do so again. Should be plenty of cameras inside & outside to provide a secure facility and materials.

I’m a professional grower and before that was black market for 19’yrs. I’ve even been arrested for legally growing as a caregiver in Washington when it first became medical. Like they actually have an app in Seattle where just like you can mark the location of an accident on google maps. People can enter the location of human 💩 on the sidewalks. It then alerts you when you are approaching it so you don’t step in it.

Cities should NOT be offering ANY type of assistance including the response of law enforcement. Law enforcement agencies operate with 'federal funding' and it is still against federal law to sell marijuana. They are open to losing all federal funding doing just such.

They did. Criminals stole and used a truck or wrapped a chain around them and pulled them out in a recent pot shop robbery. A wall won't help when they can wrap a chain around it and tear it down or storm the store with guns like you saw in the video.
