Great job 👍 I personally had the txp1.18000 and I ran it at .5 ohms on 4 15s until I sold it I never had any problems with it because of impedance rise you must upgrade your electrical to power these amplifiers and the sundown sfb remote with clip indicator works perfectly with the soundstream txp line
The Soundstream TXP amp are probably the best watt per dollars amps out there. I have had all versions of the monoblock TXP's and NO problems at all I love the way they look and the build quality. They definitely are not .5 ohm capable but like you said as long as you know what your minimum impedance is with box rise it shouldn't be a problem. My only complaint is they need to step up the protection circuitry. Because if you short them out or overload them they will pop. Thats one thing I give Taramps is they have great protection circuitry. But at the end of the day if you dont do something your no supposed to it wont be an issue :) thanks man for watching!
@@HiFiVector I'm sure you remember paying basically $1/watt as much as I do. I'm currently putting together a budget system myself. Picked up the sk2x12v and the rp2000.1 on sale. Ran across someone running the ri audio 12's and was instantly impressed so I have 2 of those coming tomorrow. All together around $550. 30 years ago a real decent head unit costed 550. You'll never hear me complain about the car stereo prices I'm loving 10cents/watt 🤣✌️
@@undernature2799 Oh yea car audio has changed a lot since the old days. I remember back in the 90's a 300 watt sub amp was considered a lot of power and the amps were like $800 or so for that wattage. Car audio has come a long way as far as what you can get for the price. Cant beat Skar for good prices and good quality for sure.
About average for the money 3k Brazilian for for 200-250 . But it does look cool . And good thing it's sound stream they will mark them down a lot for sales at about $140 it be a good deal . It will happen
Here's a tech question for you or a viewer . I have 3 R3's wired @1.3 ohms.. keep seeing mentions of box rise. That being said , do you get let's say a taramps smart 3 bass 1 ohm version or maybe 2 ohm or higher to account for box rise ? Or does the wiring clearly dictate all ?
In the real world your impedance will most always be higher than wired. So yes you can get a smart amp ..or if you are getting a NON smart taramps you can get a 2ohm version that puts out max power at 2 ohms. Since you will be at 2 or more real world….Either way will be good.
I used to have Soundstream amps in the 80’s that were so good. They are so disappointing now. Why don’t they just rate them properly to at least garner some respect. This one rated 1000/2000/3000 at that price would be great and they would not look like liars.
Sounds like the amp is damaged. If you disconnect power and let sit for about 10 seconds and then try again and it doesn’t help the amp is damaged. But also check for any shirted speaker wires.
@@HiFiVectorthe protection sucks from taramps in my opinion...U have to turn off and restart your ride every time with the taramps and they go into protection easy!! Im running the HD on a EVL18...I had the 6000 version of this soundstreme and it was amazing for 4 years and I messed it up user error..So bought another 6000 but it was messed up and I am currently looking at this 12000 or if not this one the best bang for my buck...But I have 2 of the taramps HD3000.1 as back up amps and I hate them both lol
We have all come to expect this from a budget amp like this. Did you actually think that you would get 12000 watts? Buy a Rockford T-1500 cost $700-$800 but instead of 1500 watts is does close to 2200 watts. The reason that people blow these up is because their vehicle electrical can't support a 2500 amp much less a bigger amp with cheap CCA wire.
@@drrckhamilton I understand that very well trust me, but why does Soundstream also lie their Build house and the quality of the Boards that are used because these cheap boards can't handle alot of power and Rms. These Board do handle respectable power so why not start there and build the company back up.
@samueljackson2478 Because the masses want cheap. Tell me what car Audio company from yesteryear is doing what you state? I only know of a couple of companies that are actually doing it........U.S. Amps. They are back........ building hand built car amplifiers made in the USA. Check the prices. They start at $1049 and go up to $2500. Are you going to buy one? The $1049 model puts out a whopping 1270 watts......only! Orion xtr and hcca is decent but not the original made in USA Orion. They are decent by today's standards. Linear power .......their amps start at $2400. Zapco is trash now. Rockford is decent, depending on the series of amp. Lanzar is not even a shell of its former self, the old school amps that once were top tier. Hopefully, the companies that are making a comeback can sustain their profit loss in this economy without sinking into abyss. Let's be honest the average person does not want to buy a $1049 amp. Not just for the subwoofer, which is the speaker that has the narrowest frequency response of every speaker in the car or home. Smarter people spend more on component speakers whose frequency response goes from the lowest 50hz up to 20khz and even beyond human hearing ability. A subwoofer typically plays from 150 down to 20hz and lower. Below that there are no musical instruments that play that low. Only man made tones play lower. If you just like bass tones, which isn't music, that's another story.
@samueljackson2478 My long response was deleted, but look up the prices of old school amps that are back. US amps start at $1049 and go up to $2500. Linear power amps start at $2500 and go up to $4500. Maybe you should get one of each, bruh lol

I agree

This or the slapz5k??
Haven’t tested a slaps but these are good inexpensive amps.
They practically Chinese Brazilian clones check the guts they look like Soundigital amps 💯same thing with the sundown SA line identical

these over taramps?
