a few years ago, our football team made it to the state championships that were held at our home stadium. it was a huge deal because the year before a player, who was one of the kindest souls I knew, had passed away in a car crash. everyone was coming to the game to remember him and there was a memorial for him at halftime. at halftime, this song played. It had been his favorite song. Everyone sang along. the players on the field, everyone in the stands. it was one of the most beautiful moments I have ever witnessed.
so thank you for bringing his memory back. it gives me happy tears :)

It’s like that feeling fo doing something fun, maybe with a friend or family. And the moment feels so amazing. Then later it hits you that it will stay a memory! Or the feeling of coming home from a sleepover. The feeling of getting ice cream with your parents and then you finish it. Having a birthday party then you open your presents and go home. The day after Christmas.

I know my cousin who is 20 really would remember this song it reminds me of the times I was 5 or 6 hanging out with my cousins friends.
