CP Frederik had a sad childhood. -- His parents lived in ""Hotel Amalienborg "" and the children were upstairs brought up by nannies , and then boarding school --Just like the British Queen's children -This was normal Royal living style . More formal than ordinary people live.Then 2 things happened to change Frederik's life for ever 1) He met the love of his life 2) He married her and she gave him the love he craved for. At the age of 18 Frederik made a speech vowing that his children were not going to be brought up in the way he had been They only use nannies and carers when necessary Result --a happy marriage , and according to their children -a Happy Family.

Although I'm a real fan of Prince William and Kate, I love how loving Prince Frederik always is towards Princess Mary. He never seems cold and in fact is quite relaxed mostly, so Mary can relax also while they're working. This British royal stuffiness is so unnecessary. You don't need to be attached always, but this couple has good balance.

3:13 CP Mary crossed around behind CPF to shake hands with that old lady sitting in the chair. No wonder people love her. They are such an adorable couple and their PDA does not bother me at all. It is not excessive and just shows how much they love each other. At CPF's 50th birthday dinner (I think that's when it was) CP Mary gave a speech in tribute to her husband and there was a lot of humor but it was extremely obvious how much she still loves him. I sort of wish the British royals would take a page from their book and would stop being so standoffish with each other. Guess what, royals, we already know you are really just people so if you did something that exhibited that fact to us we probably could take it.
