Man watching these herald replays reminds me of a nice 2015 dota game when my friend, who had played dota for like 2 weeks played kotl, took the last hits in every single wave with q, realised that he has 12000 gold and that they were losing, bought a daedalus and a desolator and gave it to his shadow fiend and lifestealer. He was very proudly telling me that they won because he gave his carries the items he farmed. I didn't want to destroy his dreams that day so I told him the truth like 2 weeks later when he wanted to do the same thing.

This used to be possible in dota 1, called "pooling". Tournaments and private games banned the practice and eventually the frog made it impossible.

I refer to "Pacing" as the "Herald Shuffle" - you just watch 4 people clicking back and forth doing nothing around an objective. This happens most commonly on 50+ min high ground defence games.

In WoW I use the mousewheel for abilities. It's pretty good. No idea how it is in dota tho.

Absolute magic. Thanks for the content, Jenkins. I've already started seeing Anti-Mage players taking offlane and just farming for half of the game (and building Battlefury). You've truly doomed us. I look forward to losing all of my MMR and going from Archon to Herald.

@@monade2714 Oh don't get me wrong, it absolutely can work well, and I've seen a guy or two pull it off flawlessly. The biggest issue, if you're following the guide, is more so having your team tilt!

What you’re seeing is herald speciality. They forego a straight ancient rush mid win with all 5 opponents dead in order to actually take the extra minutes (while the opponents are dead) to push the two other lanes and get mega and then lose at the 60th minute mark with just a single push where all of them get wiped out.
literally anyone of the 1through 5 heroes could hit it to be fair

From all the herald videos in Jenkin's channel, the one thing that I learned is you can literally destroy any herald game just by picking a hero with a pushing skill (shaman, dp, leshrac, pugna, etc.) and focusing only on towers. Heralds = people who suck at pushing. This is regardless of skill level. Anyone who plays dota for the first time can succeed.
As someone who's climbed out of herald this is very true. Troll warlord and jug carried me out of there

@@Raioh. Dude. This game is just one perfect example. Just put your wards closer to the ancient. Or just hit it 3 times. Heralds do this all the time. You are acting like heralds are pro at defending. No, they are not. There is no solution to shaman wards + aghs + refresher in herald world.

that depends on if your team decides to pick a teamfight to distract them. im close to herald and i have seen people who farm till 40m in jungle and kill any rat player. heralds are truly unpredictable sometimes.

That guy (someone, idk) was right, it's easier to predict a smart person's moves than an idiot's. Normal situations be like "Oh this is gonna go this way, and that's gonna happen, and there it is, calculated" but heralds move are beyond our understanding

Shadow blade is great for low mmr players. No one cares enough true sight, it's the safest item in the game basically. We're talking about the worst-rated players in the game
And at lategame, it's hard for people to have detection due to slots...
