  • This video is showing how I built my second wood-fired oven.
    I followed fornobravo.com specs on how to build it. They are describing in detail the building steps. I had to adapt the instruction to be able to use local materials and tools.
    Oven diameter is around 90 cm.
    Oven has no cracks after using it for almost 3 years at pizza high temperatures.
    The isolation works well - oven keeps high temperature next day after a pizza cooking session.
    Left to-do list: I still need to apply a stucco on the outside and build a nice front oak door for the bottom wood deposit section.
    What I would change on next build: build the oven smaller (70-80 cm is more than enough).
    And I would also use better protection during building process (manual fire-brick slicing was a painful process).

    Am urmarit multe video cu acest subiect,italieni,turci,chinezi,etc .si de aceea vreau sa te felicit,pentru ca dupa parerea mea,acest cuptor este cel mai reusit, in special domul,spectacular,si imbinarile de caramizi,taieturile, sint de mare maiestrie.Multumesc ca ai impartasit cu noi acest project.

      Va multumesc pentru apreciere. Dupa 3-4 ani de utilizare nu are nici macar o fisura la interior. Oricum multa munca, mai ales ca nu sunt de meserie si nici nu am mai construit altul la fel.

    90 cm diametre inside ? or out side? You think 90 was to big ? Thanks

      @IonutBalasIB  Рік тому +2

      Hi Gonzalo, the internal diameter is 90cm. Yes, for what I need 90cm is big and it requires a lot of wood to heat up to 400 C.

    Felicitari pentru ingeniozitate. Doua intrebari am daca ma poti ajuta. Ce mortar ai folosit si de unde ai luat acea patura de izolatie? Multumesc

    • @IonutBalasIB
      @IonutBalasIB  Рік тому +1

      Multumesc. Mortarul a fost o combinatie de 3 componente: argila refractara, ciment alb si nisip.
      Patura fibra ceramica de izolatie am cumparat-o împreună cu celelalte materiale refractare de la Izobrid Grup Azuga. Patura fibra ceramica gasiti si pe www.pefoc.ro

    Great build brother 😁👍 can i ask two things please ?
    1 do you shorten the circle guide rod every time you go up one course ?
    2 Why did you set the oven floor on small glass tile sheets ?
    Awesome job and attention to detail 😁😁🤘🤘🤘🤘

      Heilo Karl! Thank you for your feedback!
      1. The entire build is driven by the inner ray device which tells you where each row needs to be (inner angle). You adjust your row angle / size based in the center ray device. My radius tool can be seen at this minute: ua-cam.com/video/KZ6gPMT1GbY/v-deo.html
      2. The reason for using small glass tile sheets is to allow the base insulation material to lose water. The insulation material is absorbing water from everywhere (mortar water, rain - if you have gaps, atmosphere water etc.). There has to be a way to allow that water to escape. If you don't use the over over winter of for long time, the oven will absorb water and crack next time you heat it up.
      I also added a top gas releaser. You can check at at this minute: ua-cam.com/video/KZ6gPMT1GbY/v-deo.html
      This was added for the same reason, to allow the gas to escape from the top at high heat.
      Sorry but my technical english is not perfect. We can do a quick meeting if you need more explanation. Please let me know.

      Thank you for your feedback.
      We have rainy (even snowy) weather and it's hard to keep water outside the oven core without proper protection.
      I know it doesn't look nice covered but for me it's more important to be protected than the outside look.
      I built it to last.

    Salut cuptorul arata genial.
    Poti sa imi spui te rog de unde ai cumparat caramida pentru baza cuptorului unde se coace pizza.
    Multumesc anticipat

    Salut. Foarte frumos ți-a ieșit cuptorul. Eu mă pregătesc să construiesc unul. Dacă te rog, poți să îmi lași un număr de telefon și să îmi oferi sfaturi? Nu am zidit, construit nimic de unul singur, nu am experiență. Mulțumesc anticipat.

    De unde ai procurat unealta din centru cu care ai facut cupola ?

    • @IonutBalasIB
      @IonutBalasIB  Рік тому

      Buna seara. Unealta care pastreaza raza cupolei constanta am construit-o dintr-o roata pivotanta + un intinzator cablu. Gasiti pe youtube o multime de alternative. Modelul asta de l-am ales are avantajul ca se poate modifica raza.

    what are the dimensions of the oven

    • @IonutBalasIB
      @IonutBalasIB  Рік тому +1

      Hello Ahmed,
      Internal useful diameter is 90cm. Too big for what I need. I realized too late. It requires quite a lot of wood to heat up to pizza temperature. A good size for cooking 2 pizzas same time is 65-70cm for internal diameter. Thank you.

    Foarte frumos !! mi se pare mie sau ai folosit cărămidă refractara și la cupola?

    • @IonutBalasIB
      @IonutBalasIB  4 місяці тому

      Va salut! Am folosit caramida refractara inclusiv la cupola. Vatra unde are loc arderea este realizata exclusiv din caramida refractara de densitate mare. Am masurat si temperatura cea mai mare este atinsa in varful cupolei. Acolo este concentrata toata energia focului. Caramida normala nu ar rezista timp indelungat la temperatura de 600-700 grade Celsius.

    • @IonutBalasIB

      Multumesc. Daca imi aduc bine aminte, am folosit in proportie egala: argila refractara, nisip si ciment alb.
