On the commentary track, Jackson and Doc mentioned that they couldn't get the rights to the song they wanted, but found this in Turner's library or something like that. They mentioned some people were disappointed that it was some "filler" music intended for an ad and not a song that meant something. I think it was Jackson who pointed out that the act of creating something causes it to mean something to someone. Maybe it wasn't the artist's magnum opus or something, but that doesn't lessen the meaning that can be attached to it. A fitting lesson for such a heartfelt scene.
When I saw this episode; I actually shed a tear, it’s crazy how it explained an origin story without being cheesy or forced. Excellent writing; so sad that the series is canceled. 🙁
This track perfectly expresses the feeling that just because you've reached your lowest point, it doesn't necessarily mean your heading in the wrong direction. It might just all be a bump in the road, and if you just keep driving, you'll eventually reach the right destination. Just like Brock did.
The show also shows that you can do everything right and fail and everything wrong, but succeed. It's surprisingly rare for any media in TV to show failure seriously.
Finally getting to this episode made my buddy understand why we were watching venture bros, no doubt, he was enjoying it before, but now, he's really into it.
Love this sound and man that ep was one of the best Doc and Jackson ever made, how so may characters ended up where they are since the beginning and the ending scene was great

So true, and to be honest, I think it's actually better this way.

Imagine a 1 minute song can tie up so many plot holes.

Beautifully forlorn.
Great now of only I could find the theme that plays during emotional moments like when doc and other former boy adventurers were speaking with Dr.z.
Let me know if you find it
