This race is the oldest m/c race in the world, run regularly since 1907 on closed public roads, the Isle of Man is a 220 square mile island between Great Britain and Ireland. The TT covers 2 weeks, last week of May for practice, first week of June for the races, 7 or 8 in total, 2 of the races involve that machine you couldn't identify, it's called a sidecar outfit, a two man, three wheeled machine. The course is also the longest in the world, each lap is 37.73 miles long, riders start at ten second intervals, and the winner is whoever completes the 4 or 6 lap race in the quickest time. Watching is totally free unless you want to watch from the grandstand on the start/finish line. but accommodation is usually booked two years in advance, as the population of the island doubles during the TT.
