Don't speak a word of Japanese, but this is one of my favorite albums ever. Her unique sultry voice and The trumpet and the honky tonk piano...good bass too, made this one of the tightest bands ever.

Fantastic, I've heard this album when I was operating a cafe named "Phoenix" in Chichi jima, Ogasawara Island about 40 years ago. I used this record every night as a cafe closing music my most favourite one was "こんな風に過ぎてゆくのなら" . Now I feel yes my life is passing by like as it is. If I could see her again.
Hi Silvia Noya Many thanks for your reply and I'm sure Maki's songs were my whole life when I recall my past 70 years. Unfortunately Maki has passed away when she was 68years old? but it's strange she is living in my mind clearly. The thing like this never happened ever to me. By the way I'm very interested what is your originality?

From your name and the photo, you don't look like a Japanese. However, you do understand Maki-san! It's amazing!! Who are you? And, how much do you understand Japanese?
hahaha I dont understand anything, just feel it!!!. I only know the second song meaning and is so poetic and sad. If you have some song translation would be fantastic!!! (I speak Spanish)
I'll do that although it may be difficult. I will also try ward to ward so that you can reconstruct in Spanish by yourself. By the way, I live in Michigan, USA. Where do you live?
