We have a salt water system in our current hot tub and have really enjoyed the seemingly low chemical smell and pretty low maintenance. However, we started having leaks after about 4 years and someone told us that the salt water can cause corrosion that leads to a higher incidence of leaks. Have you observed this?
Hot tubs have dozens of connections is the plumbing - any one of these can leak. Often they weren’t tight from the factory and the pump can vibrate then loose. A salt water spa isn’t any more prone to corrosion as long as the chemistry is balanced
