Syncing your synths is a great idea and can’t wait for that video, however can you also breakdown how you are using the Studiolive with your Daws please 🙏🏾
You can duplicate a midi track in 2 ways. You can either duplicate it like you did or you can duplicate it completely which is then separated from the original midi track. It should say either duplicate track or duplicate track complete.
So you've been using Studio one for 10 years and still don't know how to duplicate a track? Ranting about fixing something that does not need to be fixed. I won't even bother to finish watching this video. I don't expect everyone to know every single feature of the software they use, but to not even know the most basic features is at the very least unprofessional. Someone already mentioned it in the comments so I won't bother to repeat it. Also here's a thought, not for you specifically, but in general for all the people that complain about daw Z needing feature X from daw Y, and when daw Z finally adds feature X complain that it doesn't work the same way it does in daw Y, how about you just use daw Y for that feature. Instead of expecting a carbon copy of feature X, which would most likely be some form of infringement.

Hey @Johnmike John Mike I really think you would like Cubase better than Studio One. Do a history search about the two. If I am correct Studio One is a spin off from Cubase, almost like a church split situation. Please let me know if I'm wrong. Peace!!
nope..it does THE same thing I just showed in the video...just tried it...it duplicates the same instance of the previous instrument...it doesn't create a new independent instrument like it does in every other daw
@@iliravdyli4109 it’s the exact same thing lol…that works for audio…not for midi/vst tracks…all “duplicate complete” does is copy the midi region to the new track as well
Dude, it's not the stems separtion algorithms in Studio One 7 Pro that's effecting the quality of the stem separation, it's Studio One itself! I've been telling folks this for years. The overall sonics of Studio One is very flat, dull and neutral. If you had taken it one step further and imported the Studio One bass, Drums and vocals separated stems into Logic, you'll notice it sounds the same. I've noticed this over ten years ago, that's why I recently switched over to LUNA after using Studio One for 14 years. Everything else about Studio One is flawless just not the sonics.
@@Russplight You're definitely onto something. I noticed a few years ago that I really needed to work every track, in Studio One, whereas other apps I was using, sounded more lively on their own. Messing with settings helped a tiny bit. I started using analog emulations, and Studio one's Mix FX on everything, and that helped a lot. I almost wonder if there's something different with the foundational coding that the whole DAW is built upon, compared to other DAWs. Like you said, it just feels a bit bland.
@@meronyach. You got it buddy. You're right. I struggled for years to make tracks pop in Studio One. I think I've pinpointed it to a lack of transient information in the mids, low mids and lows. The crazy part is it's the only DAW that sounds that flat. Cubase, Pro Tools, Logic, FL, LUNA and Reaper all have great transient translation. I've tried to tell others for years. Everyone claimed DAW's don't have a sound. WRONG. You're the only person that was able to hear this. You got a good ears my man. PEACE!!

Hmmm, I always felt the opposite. I started using studio one from version 1 and I always thought it sounded fuller, wider and had more depth than Pro Tools which I was coming from. I also uploaded my songs to a website with other artists and my songs stood out sonically and every step of the production was done in ST 1.
@@shango7942 That's cool hear. I don’t think S1 sounds bad it's just not heavy on transient translation. It's the perfect DAW for orchestral and classical music.
Your pro tools comment is crazy. lol. Why create a DAW to do what pro tools does ? Or any other daw ? Because for one. Going back and forth between DAWs for features is wasted time back and forth. The concept of s1 is to grow to cover all audio workstation tasks. For 2 when old daws like pro tools have bugs created by patched old coding gets very frustrating. I own pro tools 2021. Did some mixing projects in it and older versions over the years. It has stupid errors all the time that I never have to deal with in s1. Latency compensation errors and lossing data like midi sometimes. It’s a grandpa DAW and I’m saying that as a 40 year old. Popularity doesn’t mean best. Our politics is a good reflection of that. lol. The model T ford was the standard too. Standards change and competition is good for the consumer. No daw is perfect and s1 is my favorite in 24 years of recording, production and mixing. Its stock sounds are kinda blah for modern production. Its sampler based instruments definitely need some work. But overall I love to be able to start and finish projects in one reliable daw.
