I haven't tried this one yet but just got some of the Hobium and Hobbii yarns after seeing your videos. Now I will have to add another yarn on my try it list
I loved your comparison! Now I have to try Premier! Now you need to add Caron and the others to the mix. Thank you for actually answering a question that I hadn't even thought to ask.
I never knew there was so many wonderful kinds of yarn. Having to go on disability has given me an opportunity to learn from the masters, aka Crystal!! Thank you 😊
I find I keep going back to red heart every blanket I did and they are super soft now. I love acrylic bc it is easy to care for....I wash and dry my blanket I made 30 years ago still the same colors...Crystal I think you should trademark Bag O Day!
I recently used Big Twist for the first time and was very pleased. I agree with your ranking of Red Heart. It's what I started with when I learned to crochet, but it makes my fingertips so rough and dry after working with it for just a little while. I'm definitely going to try the Premier. Thanks for your well-informed recommendations!
Thank you Crystal, always love your reviews. I always value your opinions and knowledge of yarns. You are number one in my book. I've learned so much from you. We love you too Crystal 💜🤗🙏🧶
Good. You are big help to someone. Like me who's just getting back to crochet after around 20 years. Things have changed...a lot! Thanks again Crystal for all you are doing ♡
Hi Crystal hope you and your family are doing good today.God bless you and your family today and always.Thank you for sharing everything about the yarn. I fell like you I would rate them like you .God bless
I'm loom knitting a blanket with Big Twist currently. I have been working on crocheting a shrug with RedHeart and I Love This Yarn and my hands needed a break because of some injuries. I will also try knitting a project with my new knitting needles.
I agree with your number one. Premier Basic is fabulous. I have not used all of them all. You are such a help to us! You are so fun to watch. Great to wake up and share my coffee and "converse" with you.
With the solid "I love this yarn" you get 355 yarns and if you buy it when it's 30% off, it's a good deal. It's my favorite value yarn because it's so soft.
Thanks, Crystal! My personal favorite value yarn is Joann’s Big Twist, but I’ve never seen Premier Basix locally. I guess I’ll need to check online. All the others you rated I agree with. ❤️
I have alot of JoAnnn's Big Twist. I love it. I've made alot of stuffed animals for the kids with it because of all the colors available. I am planning to try the Premiere. I was looking at the website recently. Thanks for your honest opinion on yarn. It does help!😊👍
Their cone cotton is also really nice. If you ever need some. I purchased it after buying peaches and cream for a long time. What a difference! The Premier is nice and soft in a cone cotton!
Thank you Crystal! That helps me A LOT! I wish you could do that for every yarn! Lord, that'd be too much work.... maybe I don't wish that on you! Thanks girl!
Thank you Crystal so much for your info on these brands. I love that you tell us about different brands and how they feel and the different ones that you like and use most often. God bless you kiddo❤️
Interesting Crystal. I've used the following and my favorite to least is: JoAnns Big Twist, Hobby Lobby I love It, then Walmart brand because I buy the basic colors usually at Christmas and I go cheap...lol. I really don't see many pastel greens to dark greens or lime greens (usually a light sagey green and a dark green but that's it on greens...2 color choices and that's it ...smh),l. Same with browns.... beige to brown tones or pastel yellows to deep ochres and golds. Color choices just aren't there for autumn colors. grrrr. Blues never turn me on. They're too wimpy in color...I only like intense aquas.
This is helpful. I've actually never tried primere but the others I have. I actually love red heart super saver more than mainstay, skillcraft, and hobby lobby, especially the color block. Totally agree with big twist. Thanks for sharing!!
Red Heart Super Saver is my favorite! They have temporarily changed the manufacturing over to Turkey, and its softer now. But I prefer the old scratchy kind lol! Nothing compares to the feel of it when it’s made into an afghan. Also, I’ve heard from friends that the Big Twist can bleed color. Something to consider.
I started STOPPING the video, take a screen shot, and go back to watching for the next one! After I’m done, I go into my photos and put them in their own folder. So far, it’s the only way I’ve been able to keep the yarn from making me crazy!!
I usually always buy Red Heart Super Saver because that's all I can afford but I now see the Mainstay and am going to look for it. It's a better bargain plus you said it was softer than the Super. Going to check it out, thank you Crystal. 😊
I'm with you on the number one yarn tonight, I also have a lot of the Premier Basix yarn, I do like the Red Heart for making baskets because of the stiffness. Enjoy tonight. Thanks again.
I agree with your choices! I love the fact that you are willing to give honest opinions! I look forward to watching your videos and learning more about the yarns and products that you use!
I'm in the UK. I love 'I love this yarn' it's so lovely to work with and I adore some of the variegated on offer. My go to value yarn is Stylecraft special aran
Thanks Crystal. I agree about Red Heart's texture, rough; Mainstays lack of color choice; and Michael's and Hobby Lobby. Will try Premier and Big Twist. Thank you for all of your tutorials. 💕 You too!
I have used Big Twist Value and I really love working with it. I agree with the Red Heart 100%. Although I have looked through Premier Basix for awhile I have not tried it yet, but hopefully soon.
Basix definitely #1. I love the yarn and the beautiful colors. I like Bernat super value as well. And I actually do love “I love this yarn”. Thanks for another informative video!
You are truly the yarn Queen. Your knowledge about yarn and yarn brands are awsome. You have a variety and know what you like. I have not used any of them as I do not have them in my country.
100% agree! You know your yarn Crystal. Currently working with Premier Premium Acrylic worsted. A dream to work with. So soft. Great stitch definition too and priced right.
Premier Basix is my #1, I love this yarn #2, and mainstay #3. I really hope Walmart comes out with more colors also. Thanks for sharing. Have a nice day and stay safe.
Always appreciate your yarn reviews, thanks, Crystal. I learned to knit and crochet with Red Heart, but rarely ever use it anymore because it's just not soft!
Thank you Crystal!! I appreciate your honesty and your time to discuss the differences in these yarns. Red Heart used to be my go to, but, when Mainstay came out, I quickly fell in love, and would LOVE to see them bring more colors! Love and hugs!!
Like a lot of people, I learned on RH, many moons ago! Excited to try Premier! Thank you for sharing your opinion! Crystal, you are the BESTEST! Big yarny hugs! 🤗😍😘 Stay healthy & safe! 😷
I love, so much, when you do reviews of yarn, and comparisons. You are my go to person, when I am looking to buy new yarn. I watch these videos over and over again. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Crystal! I have used all of those yarns except Premier. I will definitely give it a try now! Thanks for taking the time to go thru them for your followers.
Thank you for the information. I did not realize Wal-Mart had their own yard. You are so right lack of color choose. The funny thing was they had a brown that I have looked forever for. So you in away found it for me. Thanks Crystal.
I agree with your assessment. I do love the Big twist. I like their assortment of TYPES/STYLES of yarns too. I have never ever cared for the RedHeart. Back in the 90's I wasn't a fan but that was really the only stuff around. thanks so much for your share!! I love your reviews!!
I have learned so much from you Crystal, about Yarn. I learned To crochet from my mom Way back in the late 50s and 60s. I remember it seems all of the yarn she could get to use seemed to be course, and not soft. It seems there was some soft yards but now there are so many that are so soft to work with. When I started crocheting again after a lot of years I found that I prefer the really soft yarn. I can’t seem to want to make very many things out of the not so soft yarn.
Thank you Crystal. I used to use red heart super saver all the time. Didn't know any better. Since I found you I now do know better. I have 3 big boxes of the premier Basics right now. I want to make an Afghan for each of my children and if I have time I will make one for my grandchildren. You are soo good at what you do for all of use. Thank you love ya stay safe
You can get premier basix @ premieryarns.com or herrschners.com
I will have to try this one.
I haven't tried this one yet but just got some of the Hobium and Hobbii yarns after seeing your videos. Now I will have to add another yarn on my try it list
I have never tried this one, thanks for sharing the link. If you think it's the best, I will take your word for it.
@@karenstrachan287 I just got an order of mystery bags from hobbii today! Very happy with it. Wish everyone had a mystery yarn option!

Very helpful! Thanks, Crystal. Please do your "TOP COTTON YARNS FOR GARMENTS" including cotton blends (truboo, coboo, etc.)
Great review
I never knew there was so many wonderful kinds of yarn. Having to go on disability has given me an opportunity to learn from the masters, aka Crystal!! Thank you 😊
Oh there are sooo many more I've been discovering!
Another person who has good tutorials is Toni of TL Yarncrafts. It was so much to watch her live show this weekend when she had Crystal as a guest.
Im in the same boat! Lol
Yes! Toni is great, especially with Tunisian!!

I like Hobby Lobby's I Love this Yarn the best. because it is so soft. Thanks for another valuable yarn lesson, Crystal!
Hi Crystal, You nailed it !!!!! I agree 100% .Although stiff Red Heart is great for making amigurumi.
Good to know, thanks.
Yes. I agree. Thanks Crystal!
Good Afternoon Crystal & Everyone
When I learned to crochet, red heart super saver was the only yarn I knew. Thankfully I know better now thanks to you
Me too
@@vdelrio7993 me also
Me too! My grandma started to teach me and red heart was the go to yarn. Since I have been following Crystal I have discovered real nice yarns.
That's how I was too. I have learned so much about yarn since listening to Crystal. She is AMAZING. Thanks for everything Crystal. Love ya.
As much as you crochet and review yarn, you are my most trusted source for fiber knowledge! Thanks so much ☕🍩💖
Mine too!
I fully agree

They certainly have I remember when red heart winuk was $.99 a skein.
You are my FAVORITE Yarn Lady! I love your reviews and tutorials! 🥰
I’m new to crocheting so I’ve only red heart and joann’s big twist. Out of those I like big twist better.

WOW! Thank you Crystal for the class on different types yarns!!
My favorite yarn that I have used is Joan's big twist.
I haven't tried that. Thanks
Im making a wrap with big Twist i like the value and it's soft

I’ve used all of them. My favorite is the Joann’s Big Twist. Around the holidays it was as cheap as $1.62 .. that’s a steal!
Me too…and it’s very often …often enough …2.40 something on sale. Have never paid more. Love it.
Big Twist splits so easy for me😢
Hi, i never heard of premiere basix..good to know. My favorite is joann's big twist

My favorite is I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby. It’s much softer than most other value yarns and they have an amazing color selection.
Premier has some "just yarn" labeled acrylic yarn at Dollar Tree with around 130 yards. Assorted colors, lovely and so soft! Yay Premier!
