Back story, in their last practice session everything was going wrong. The choreograph wasn't coming together, Scott's voice was going out and he wasn't sure if it would hold up. They were resolved that they would take 2nd place. But they decided never give up. Scott pushed his voice to the end and everything fell into place. When he finished singing his voice had given out and he couldn't talk.
You see him squeesing out those last notes like wringing out a dish towel! So powerful!
You can also see their energy return a lot when Mitch sang his solo and the audience went nuts.
In my heart I believe it was Mitch's spotlight on that song that just won it for them. My opinion and I'm sticking with it.
Your reaction to this was the EXACT reaction I had when I heard them perform this. It was and still IS an AMAZING performance. Loved this AND your reaction. Thanks for the PTX content!
Recommend their I Need Your Love from their guest performance in season four of the Sing Off.
Aww! I love that one! So moving to me seeing them coming back! Feels like such a homecoming! Makes me feel like such a proud mama! 😂
I’m so happy you did this reaction. I love this no matter how many times I’ve seen it.
Great reaction to this awesome Pentatonix performance. Thank you.
Loved your reaction and your enthusiasm for PTX. They were so good when they started out but they are even better after 11 years together. Their voices have matured and they are even more incredible now 💕
Best performance of the Sing-Off. My personal favorite. IMHO this clinched their win. Great reaction! More please!
This was my favourite performance of theirs on the Sing-Off!
I saw you hearing Avi's overtones at the beginning! Great reaction!
You’re right this was lit 🔥! I remember being absolutely stunned when I watched them on the Singoff but I knew after this performance they had just won it all. Great reaction, watched it all with you Adogg.
LOVED this show... the judges were always right on and so intelligent. They knew PTX was special the first time and it just grew from there... they kept getting better but were front runners right from the start. Great journey and reaction.
If you are wondering what that note is that you hear in the beginning. It si called overtone singing and Avi is doing it in this one
Freaking phenomenal? 💯👍🏾
This was one of my favorites.
Hold on to your seat!
First time watching you and I already subscribed. Your reaction was awesome. Keep up the good and joyful reactions. 😊
Their 8th performance of Let's Get it On by Marvin Gaye....MUST SEE!!!!!!
I have waited for you to see react to this one!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Glad to have you back...
Hey, great reaction, but please go back and listen to the end of the video. Avi talks about their Sing Off journey and what it meant to him, and it's pretty touching. There are two more performances in the series, Una Noche, which they sang with Nick, and it was fun and Kirstie was incredibly sexy. The other was Without You. A few non-singers fault them because it was a bit wobbly, but I enjoyed it because they sang it as a love song to each other, and parts of it were gorgeous. I hope you can react to both of them, too. Oh, and that strange whirring noise you heard was Avi doing overtone singing, where he sings his bass note and a higher note at the same time.
And to think, they were just babies!!!
Love it, great reaction ❤️🙌🙌
I loved it and you ty
I'm telling you friend, check out Video Killed The Radio Star by Pentatonix on the sing off
Loved your reaction bro
Ya got a new subscriber!
Minor point (not on you, on Sarah): Scott had actually turned 20 during the competition - his birthday is mid-September . But Scott is clever and courteous enough not to argue with the nice judge! And her point about their being a young group is 100% valid.
I just subscribed to your channel and wish you the best in life.
I'm not sure if you found it, but there is a video that has all of their performances on Sing off. Amazing!! You probably can't do a reaction to it because its long, but you can enjoy it yourself. lol. Love them!!
🌟
Great enthusiastic reaction! Thank you!
Love your reactions! Glad to see you cross over to tv! If you're enjoying this, the sing-off had other amazing groups (like Home Free) not sure how much is available online but worth checking out.
I'm also going to suggest my favorite animated show, Steven Universe. It was a Cartoon Network show, now available on HBOMax and DVD - check your local library. It's 160 12-minute episodes over 5-seasons, with great music, plenty of laughs and more than one tear. It's followed by a 90-min musical movie and a 20 episode limited-series, Steven Universe Future. The first season seems disjointed and kid-focused to some but it sets seeds for the deeper storytelling that comes later.
You better react to Florence and the Machine if you listened to a cover. The original is better.
You skipped through the entire Sing Off why would you do that? Someone convinced you the other performances were not important to their win?
First-ever Mitch Slap!
