So you just press guard and side step at the same time?
You should master high back step to, this mechanic works for any direction Which is cool like foward high speed step getting very close to you're opponent at a blink of an eye.
Sometimes doing this isn't recommended cause you can get ulted by stupid tracking when doing high speed step. It's just gaurd Recovery not fast enough.
I did dodge a player ultimate I baited with high speed back step, which is boo. Ult travel characters are annoying
You can do a lot out of it. Just have to master it but you can do character combo arena changes w/ certain moves if you know which, and you can also do a regular dash left or right side then do the “flash step” so like a left dash flash step right kinda like going to left of opponent then back to the righty across their face. Also you can do 2 “flash steps” back to back … I do regular dash flash step left or right then another guard forward to excute another dash etc. just practice it in the lab and come up w/ your own style! 👊🏿
