10 years are the perfect time for a manga. Most of the mangakas back than always told their stories in a time of 10 years. And of course you have the "long living mangas" like Detective Conan, One Piece or Dragonball. I enjoy watching the anime of MHA and also reading the manga and want to say at this point: Thank you Kohei Horikoshi for that great journey! I excited to see your next work and I think I will enjoy it too.
Is this going to be a brand new manga or is this going to be a continuation of MHA that's what I'm wondering. It sounding like this is going to be something completely brand new. I'm all for it
Horikoshi probably will try to draw a manga thats more close to his heart this time, and a manga thats more fun for him. He already has the insane skil that his younger self could only dream. Now he has the time and name to do a manga he can relax more.
Wow, so according to you, My Hero Academia wasn't close to his heart? Apparently, you don't know this, but TRUE MHA fans are aware that he's a massive superhero fanatic, so I seriously doubt this series wasn't "close to his heart" or a passion project for him, which is what you're implying. Even before he officially published MHA or even his other two failed manga, Horikoshi's first attempt was "My Hero", which was a prototype to his now world-famous magnum opus. Regardless of whatever manga he works on next, we should never deny that MHA is the manga that finally rocketed Horikoshi-sensei to global fame and serves as his love letter to shonen and superheroes, two mediums he truly respects and appreciates. MHA was definitely NOT a manga he just came up with on the fly to cash in on superheroes.
@@SpiderGuy325 thats not what i meant. Im just saying that a very popular manga requires more pressure and a tighter deadline compared to others. He as a human bein may have reached burntout, overcritization, and stressed many times on both the story, and the fanbase. What i meant was i hope horikoshi can get a manga series he can more relax on while creating, not saying he hated mha but that his next creation have more expressive freedom. Not saying i disagree with your opinion, infact i agree. I just hope in his next series he can take care of his health more.
@@Its_bunnychan Oh, I'm sorry then. I have to apologize. Sorry, I just become sensitive whenever I think one of my favorite artists and their work are getting diminished or someone suggests something that isn't true, like Horikoshi not caring all that much about MHA (not saying that's what you were doing and I'm deeply sorry for assuming). I agree, though, hopefully he takes time to rest and can work on a manga that isn't as strenuous or demanding as MHA became. And whatever that next manga is, I'm rooting for it to become as successful as MHA was and like many of you, I'm interested as to whether or not it'll be a wholly unique concept similar to Togashi's tonal shift from YuYu Hakusho to Hunter x Hunter. Time will tell, I suppose. Thanks for clarifying. Also, whether or not his next manga is a massive success, I don't want anyone to suggest Horikoshi was merely using the success of MHA to prop himself up. I despise that assumption.
