@@PleasantSims And a light up reindeer garden ornament that can electrocute your sims lol. Oh also the game has mistletoe! Your sims can do a special kiss under it.
That game has the best energy and most charm for sure. I loved the vibes from makin magic especially with the accordion music and the haunted carnival. It was such a quirky game. I terms of gameplay I found Sims 2 the best though. SImple in a lot of ways compared to Sims 3&4 but so much fun! The basic system was just well structured and even just playing a normal sim living their every day life was entertaining
I love it too! And I like how sims can drink different drinks with their meal. So nice and cozy after 100 times of trying to force sims just sit together and eat 😁
I no longer watch your vlog channel, but you are so entertaining on this channel. I had no idea your sims channel was this big. Makes me want to get back into sims.
I'm so happy we have you back, Cindy! You look so good, I really hope it's a reflection of you being well ❤ This video really boosted my holiday mood haha, so lovely
Something I love doing in TS4 is making the kid Sims do holiday crafts and then give them to their parents and family members as gifts, it's so cute. I also like making Winterfest Eve a holiday to spread some of the traditions over a few days. Great video, Cindy! It's been so long since I've played TS2 & 3 that it was nice to revisit them. And I had no idea that Santa could appear in TS1!
I find the concept of Santa increasingly creepy as I get older: an old man breaks into your house while you’re sleeping after essentially STALKING you for an entire year and empties his bag on the floor 😂😂😂
you forgot the part where 'he' sometimes gets you something you only ever told your parents you wanted. even as a kid I thought that was weird asf. I told my mom something I wanted one year, but didn't think to write it on my list for 'Santa.' yet, I got that toy for Christmas. from Santa. (seriously parents need to be more cautious with this Santa thing lol).
So glad to see you back with The Sims videos! I've missed these so much. About the video: TS4's calendar and the ability to create and personalize holidays is fantastic. Different countries may have different holidays or even different traditions for the same holidays, plus for everyone on the south hemisphere Christmas happens in summer. And you can just make all of that happen! I wish we had these on TS2 and TS3, I wonder if modding could make that possible.
In the Sims 4 you can use the boxes of presents if using a tree that doesn't supplie the gifts. The boxes of presents works just like the presents under the tree and Father Winter will add gifts to it.
In Germany they translated Father Winter into "Väterchen Frost" which means "Daddy Frost" and it's a figure from slavic mythology. I think that's so cool, Väterchen Frost is more like the personification of winter instead of Santa Clause
OMG girl you look so good, like in the thumbnail you look like Cara Delevingne. Yes, you look that great, I can't believe your glow up, it's literally amazing.
I just got done celebrating Diwali earlier this week. Thanksgiving is coming up. Then it’s on to the other end of year holidays: Chalica, Chanukkah, Advent, Christmas, Bodhi Day, Kwanzaa, Yule, Pancha Ganapati, etc. I enjoy sharing the season with friends and family love, love, love the lights and candles! So when I wish people Happy Holidays it’s because I celebrate a lot of them this time of year! I’ll admit to enjoying that the Sims 4 has customizable holidays so if I really want to I can make some of these holidays’ traditions in the game. I had completely forgotten about Christmas in the Sims 1, but definitely hadn’t forgotten it in Sims 2 and the many fires that happened! Thanks for making this! It’s fun to see how the Sims games evolved with what was kept, what was removed, and what was added. Makes me feel a bit nostalgic! Great video!
OMGG I've watched your videos for years and it's inspired me to play the Sims more, I love to see that youve grown as a person and didn't let the negativity bring you down !! and YOU LOOK AMAZINGGG
If there's one thing I'll always give Sims 4 their flowers for, it's the holiday system from seasons. It is but far one of the best things they have ever added to the game.
I love the ingredients in the Sims 1 cookies. If you know a little bit about science and medicine, a lot of the stuff in them is hilarious, like Mercury (poisonous) and magnesium citrate (a powerful laxative) 😂
I remember years ago when I played the sims 2, I had my sim go to college, and during winter I put a Christmas tree in the dorm. It of course, went aflame. My sim was the only one who tried to extinguish it and she died. I hadn't saved since starting to play with her so I'd totally lost her, pissed I recreated her and put her in that same dorm. She soon died of fright, at seeing her own ghost.
Cindy- I’m so glad you’re back! I was periodically checking your channel and re watching your old videos missed your videos so much!! You completely changed the way I play the game. You’re looking amazing!!
Even though I feel like the earlier games have much more depth and work put into the animations, I do love how customizable holidays are in the Sims 4. For Winterfest/Christmas I typically end up making "Winter Break" holidays so that the kids/teens can experience a realistic break from school during the days leading up to Winterfest. I feel like one of the issues the pre-made Winterfest has is that it condenses everything into 1 day. Even though the holiday starts at 6 am, realistically you'd have your Christmas tree and decorations up weeks beforehand but if you do that in-game the decorations tradition can't be done. Luckily that's where customization comes into play. I typically have a "Christmas Eve" holiday for Father Winter to come and do the gifts and allow everyone to open 1 gift. It can be a struggle organizing everything since I'm not a micro manage type of simmer but it's so worth it.
I want to say that I appreciate that you took the time off you needed for you and your person al life but i am super glad you are back your comparison vids are my favourite, and i just love your general vibe, also congrats on making yourself healthier and i wish you well going forward.
It's so good to see you back on UA-cam! I know the past few years could have been kinder to you, but I'm so glad to see you stuck it out and found the energy to return to us. I hope you're doing well!
Cindy! I’m so happy to see you uploading again. But I don’t want you to spread yourself too thin. Please remember that we love you and to take breaks when you need them! ❤
although its my least favourite in the sims franchise I do think the sims 4 does seasons and holidays by far the best. I love the interaction of the whole family being able to decorate the tree together
A christmas tree killed my don lothario right after Cassandra had his baby. Probably the most wholesome don ive had in any of my playthroughs because he pretty much died before he could cause any problems

one thing I’ll add about Sims 3 is that you need “regular” roofing on your house to be able to throw a gift giving party! I didn’t know this for a while, but if you use a floor/ceiling flat roof you won’t be able to and it will always say that you don’t have enough space, and won’t let you put up Holiday Lights. I’ve never been able to throw one in Bridgeport because so many homes have the flat roofs! also, you were always pretty but you look absolutely radiant these days. i’m so glad you’re making videos again!

The sims 4 indepth christmas holiday really surprised me when seasons first came out, The sims 3 though still has to be my favorite (I just really like the giving gift party!)
I never celebrated holidays much in The Sims 1, but now I have the desire to go back and do everything I never did. The tree still looks so good too! 🎄 Edit: The fact the chocolate chip cookies have "mercury" in the ingredients. I miss that kind of humor. 🍪😂
I really love to expand Christmas in the sims 4 for one day; then I create the holy night, with a grand dinner and inciting friends in family! (And on holy night you exchange the gifts in Germany)😊
Thank you for this video! I usually only play holidays on the sims 3 and 4 since you don't have to make it the holidays in those games. Even though I almost exclusevely play sims 2 nowadays, I never knew there was a santa in this game! You're just in time for the holidays and you got me excited to play christmas with my sims 2 families!

Happy to see you back! I have been playing The Sims 2 with all expansion/stuff packs since 2009, but I only found out from your video today that you can actually make the holiday roast if you have the cornucopia placed in the household.😂 I just used to make roast turkey in case my sims had enough cooking skills. 😅
For Sims 4, since you can create and edit holidays, I have deleted every holiday and replaced them with 4 holidays, one for each season. Springfest, Summerfest, Autumnfest, and Winterfest.
Fun Fact for Sims 2: Santa actually can appear with only the tree lighted up in Sims 2, however he will only leave a piece of coal if you didn't make him cookies. You get a message about Santa being disappointed or smth and can only throw the coal away and do nothing else.

I still love them so much!
In the Sims 2 there is also holiday themed music. It comes from the stereo that looks like a snowman that also comes with the holiday pack.
Oh you're right! I forgot about that one! I did check the stereo because I thought I remembered there was a station!
i had the snowman stereo in sims 3 in the past and it was awesome but now the mod link isn't working for me 😢

I burst out laughing so much because of the ingredients list in TS1's cookies description, that game simply had the best humor in the entire series 🤣
