First, I like all your video's! I have a 18' walk through windshield striper/carp boat. I have a bimini top during striper trips and I mount an umbrella on the front deck when we carp fish(for casting room). Lack's Beach Umbrella's are definitely one of the best out there. Made in USA(Myrtle Beach, SC)and you could even get the name of your guide service printed on it. I hope this helps!
I just purchased a very similar one. 4 pole but went with a taller model due to my height. You must be a cat fisherman. Chased kitties, stripers and hybrids for over 20 years there before I had to relocate due to work
Just some advice, the radar arms you had on there before you put it on the boat, we’re on the wrong arm. They should attach to the main bow of the Bimini for the most strength. I would get what’s more comfortable for you, but as a professional in the industry I always advocate to get a custom made Bimini, they are more expensive but you can get it made to your specifications and they last way way longer than any mail order Bimini.
I just put a bimini top on my boat, I went with the Krakit I think its called because it came with side curtains which was a big deal to me as the sun in Alabama is not always directly overhead. I had the same issue as you have with head room clearance as the 6 foot bimini tops do not come in 54" heights. I simply ordered 2 stainless steel 1" diameter tubing connectors and a short section of 1" aluminum tubing, then removed the connection eyes on the bimini top, cut 2-9" sections of new tubing, attached the new tubing to the bimini with the SS tubing connectors and reinstalled the eyes in the bottom of the new tubing. Looks like factory and now Someone 6'-3" could stand up with clearance under mine.
GODDAM, I INVENTED THAT PART. I made a video about it! Made from Home Depot parts! Someone watched my video and made the same thing but from machine cut parts!
on my boat i put a 2" wood block under the swivel and then screwed that swivel to the wood block. Lifted the bimini top 2" but now i can walk underneath without bending my neck.. Not sure if same can be done with your part. As far as durability, my bimini top was bought from ebay for $105 seven years ago and is still like new today
I've had the same bimini for about 3 years. No issues. Solid purchase.

Yes I like chasing catfish although my "mixed bag" trips seem to be picking up in popularity with my guide service.

Umbrellas did work good!
It looks like it’s backwards
I think it was because I could not fold it to the back. The rod holders were in the way.
Buy a T top
Can't on a side console.
